Me and my parents booked this place for a night on the way to isle of skye and had the most amazing experience. The airbnb itself was way bigger than expected and was extremely clean. And then the grounds around it were even nicer. I was initially drawn in by the pool but we ended up spending the whole night in the billiard room that’s in the old refractory. The staff at the club is super nice and gives you a tour explaining all the history of the place while showing you to the room. Fort Augustus is also a really cute town to explore. overall the best place I’ve stayed so far in Scotland!!

Great stay at a very family friendly location (great for young children). Very charming location and amazing history if you are into that sort of thing. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. We had one minor hiccup that we resolved very quickly (not at all the host’s fault) and he got back to our inquiry within the half hour. If you are exploring the Great Glen or Loch Ness, I cannot think of a better place to base out of.

We had a wonderful stay at Jennifer’s caravan. The place was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. Jennifer was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and always happy to help. Communication was excellent from start to finish. We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely book again in the future!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in dieser großartigen und liebevoll eingerichteten, geräumigen Unterkunft sehr genossen und können sie nur jedem wärmstens ans Herz legen. In der Wohnung war alles vorhanden, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht und noch mehr inklusive sehr großzügigen Complimentary basket! Alles war makellos sauber und wir wurden sehr herzlich mit einem informativen Rundgang durchs Gebäude empfangen. Die Abtei ist ein einzigartiges Gebäude - toll zu sehen, wie Altes so durchdacht und hochwertig erhalten bleibt!

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. Perfect location right on Loch Ness with plenty of indoor and outdoor activities to keep the kids entertained. Highly recommend!!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in der alten Abtei sehr geliebt - wir haben uns ein bisschen gefühlt wie Harry Potter in Hogwarts. Die Wohnung war sauber, gute ausgestattet und sehr geräumig. Die Außenanlage der Abtei ist ein Traum und der Pool ganz wunderbar!

Excellent accommodation, very comfortable and would very much like to revisit.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and already planning to return. Great location. Very nice swimming pool (need to book an hour slot though). Didn’t eat at restaurant but lovely bar across the road and the food at the Marina about 20-30 mins walk was amazing. Accommodation was spacious, immaculate and the kitchen well equipped. We felt the description of a bathroom and photo of a bathroom was slightly misleading (even though the photo did say it might be different) and the hot tub refers to the jacuzzi at the winning pool, just so you know. That said, no complaints, we had a great time and would like to return. Very helpful staff on site and my chat. Would recommend.

A great location in the lovely town of Callander. Brian was superb at communicating with us, not only giving us detailed instructions for our stay in his home, but also recommending local points of interest, amenities and facilities that helped make our stay that bit more special. The room was clean and comfortable with all the amenities that we needed for our stay. The breakfast provided for us was perfect for our needs being Croissants and cereals. We are already looking for another opportunity to go back. Great location and great value.

Tolle Unterkunft!

We really enjoyed our stay and loved the ability to bring our dogs who loved walking along the Great Glen Way! The accommodation was clean and had all the amenities that we needed. We had thought it was a little more rural than it was but the complex was nice and safe and we loved the pool and chess ♟️ we will look forward to coming back!

This was one of our favourite stays on our trip. So much charm in this historic house with all the renovations that made this house a perfect and comfortable stay for our group of 8. Private but walking distance into town and shops, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Urlaubswoche im Appartement Douglas Fire. Die Umgebung ist so schön und urig, das Appartement sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Leanne hat uns erst per Nachricht und vor Ort mit einem herzlichen Willkommensgruß aus Tee, Gebäck, leckerer Marmelade und einer sehr lieben Karte begrüßt. Wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt und tolle Ausflüge bei wirklich großartige Wetter machen können, z.B. zum Blair Castle und nach Pitlochry, nach Edinburgh, zum Jacobite Train und ins Tal Glencoe. Die Unterkunft ist absolut zu empfehlen. Danke!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, Douglas is an attentive host who was available when needed. The bungalow was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and resting which was much appreciated as our stay was over Christmas! Douglas very kindly gifted some wine and chocolates and he was there for our arrival to show us around the house, giving some useful information on nearby shops, places to eat and things to do. We were unfortunate with the weather; however, the bungalow was very cosy and thoughtfully decorated for Christmas and time spent inside looking out at the fabulous views made up for it!

Amazing cottage that is well equipped with everything you would need. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and the additional access to the facilities in the Abbey is such a delight. Everything is close by and for outdoor adventures you cannot have a better base. We loved it!
