Caroline was a lovely host. The accommodation was perfect for our stay on Skye as it is located at the main route to Portree and surroundings! One thing you should pay attention to though is the heating. We tried to pre heat for the day but unfortunately it didn’t. Can get a bit cold now here in autumn. All in all a lovely accommodation and a wonderful host. Can totally recommend.

A very lovely place to stay, in a fantastic location, and great value for the money.

We were looking for a convenient home base for several half-day hiking tours in the Glen Coe area and we found so much more in the Hill View Pod! It was so cosy, clean, private and had all features we wished for. Most notably, Michelle is a superb host, very welcoming, warm and forthcoming. She also prepared quite a few recommendations for activities which you can read about in the pod. The location is optimal. Not only is it just a few miles away from many exciting hiking tours, but also the town of Ballachulish is worth exploring. The quarry, Ballachulish Peninsula and the Brecklet path through the forest have provided us surprisingly beautiful short walks. For grocery shopping, a Co-op is nearby. 10/10 do recommend! Simply perfect! Thank you Michelle for an amazing stay!

magnifique endroit paisible, au fin fond des Highlands. Parfait si on recherche de l'authentique avec les moutons à la sortie de la porte et les cerfs qui nous surprennent à la sortie du sentier. Les parle français ce qui a été une belle surprise et très gentille dame.

Kieran and his wife hosts this place really nice. they have always helped me with all the local suggestions. Good breakfast and they have adjusted the timings based on my tours so really appreciate! . location is walking distance from the center and it's an easy walk. would recommend this place.

Ce logement dans le Holiday Park d'Aviemore est un mobil home très grand et très bien équipé. Il n'est pas trop proche des autres logement et très bien placé près d'une petite rivière. Le site est top, très proche, et il y a un bar/restaurant juste en face. Très calme, très propre. En moins de 10 minutes on peut rejoindre le centre d'Aviemore en passant pas une voie calme et sécurisée. Il est très facile de rejoindre les activités proposées pour toute la famille (location vélo, tir à l'arc, accrobranche, rando) et tout est très bien aménagé à Aviemore pour prendre plaisir. Super lieu

Had a brilliant stay at The Piggery. JP and Sarah were wonderful welcoming hosts, always ready with firewood, biscuits and great conversation. Great location for exploring the area, and lots of books and puzzles available! Was a perfect retreat at the end of a busy work day - highly recommend!

Great location. Not many eating options in the surrounding due to some restaurants being on yearly leave but great location for hiking and walking. Thanks for having us.

Vem estar molt bé a casa en Kenny. Casa molt completa, amb tot el que es necessita, i molt neta. Zona privada per deixar el cotxe, i pots arribar al centre fent una agradable passejada de 10-15 minuts segons el teu ritme de caminar. En Kenny ha estat molt amble i hi ha hagut bona comunicació. Totalment recomenable!

Franny’s family is very friendly greeting us and show everything we need. They give us free pasta, sauce, butter, and homemade Orange jam, sourdough, we feel absolutely overwhelmed. Thank you so much ☺️

Lovely static caravan - warm, welcoming, comfortable - situated close to the beach, forest and coastline. Really enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone solo or family traveller!

Meg's place is beautiful. The accommodation is well equipped and roomy with super comfy beds and brilliant showers. There is also a private outside space for your morning coffee. The scenery is amazing and close to the Loch. We had a wonderful time and would love to return. Thank you Meg and Gary!😊

The Smithy Cottage was the perfect place to hold up for a stay near Connel or Oban. The Cottage doesn’t do itself justice by looking at the pictures, it is actually much better laid out and more spacious than you would think. The place was immaculately clean and the accommodations were quite comfortable. The only thing that you may have to be aware of is the road noise can be higher than most places. They accommodate with earplugs if you are a light sleeper. However, my wife and I had no issues with the noise and we slept quite comfortably! The place has a spacious kitchen, and a great look out over the water. We so greatly enjoyed our stay. Our only regret: we didn’t stay longer!

Ausreichend Platz für 5-köpfige Familie. Alles vorhanden was benötigt wird. Kurzer Weg zum Strand. Gerne wieder.

Super süßes kleines Gartenhäuschen von Emma - Direkt neben deren Haus in einer dicht besiedelten Wohngegend. Man ist fussläufig in Tain und viele tolle andere Orte und Sehenswürdigkeiten sind ums Eck. Die Unterkunft hat alles, was man braucht und man kann es sich richtig gemütlich machen. Allerdings ist das Bett und die Bettdecke sehr klein für zwei Personen.

A great central location for exploring the Highlands. We visited Skye, Fort Augustus, Inverness and of course Loch Ness. Also good hiking right across the street. A clean, safe and picturesque base for day trippers with friendly and responsive hosts.

really lovely bunkhouse with great communal area with all you need for cooking - induction hob, oven, microwave. Good location we were on foot and it's about half an hour from the car and passenger ferry (further to just the passenger ferry). It's close to the post office shop with groceries and to the cafe. We were able to hire bikes to get around the island.

Felt straight at home on arriving ( from the friendly greeting to the heatpump / solar panels and ban the bomb) , were shown around and explained how and what to use , were given the choice of room as they had no other bookings. Very friendly couple and there was more available to use than I’d expected. Lots of books, which I unfortunately hadn’t the chance to read bar a few pages of some . The place is cosy and eco friendly, although I was glad of having had brought slippers with as the place is well insulated and once the sun shines warms up enough for the heating not to come on, which means the stone floors are quite cold then, albeit the room still feels warm. Shower had a very good pressure, which felt more like a power shower - fabulous are a few hours walking in nature. Lismore is very quiet this time of year, making it easy to walk on the narrow roads, although best to bring enough with esp when there just fir a weekend, as the local shop is closed on a Sunday , which we knew.

We stayed at this beautiful property for 2 nights with our two young children (aged 1 and 4). Spotlessly clean, beautiful surroundings and an extremely well equipped property. We were delighted to find essentials provided for our children (toys, high chair, change mat, children’s plates and cutlery etc) as this really makes travelling with young children a lot less stressful. The property is very spacious and extremely cosy with beautiful views across the valley. Isabelle and Andrew couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. Messages were always responded to within 30 minutes and instant replies during our stay if we had any questions. Would love to visit again!

Very special place. The drive up is slightly challenging but very much worth it. We had a great time hiking up the surrounding hills, and waking up with a view over the lake and the farm!

It was great to stay at Paul's cottage. Great location with a direct view of Ben Nevis. The house was comfortable and clean, we really enjoyed our stay. Paul was great at giving us tips on what to do and helped plan our Ben Nevis summit hike.

Was a surprise for valentines for my girlfriend, she absolutely loved it here and found the mountains the best part, was so peaceful and relaxing. unbelievable breathtaking views, the cottage was such a lovely clean and cozy little place, it was perect. A very different setting for us city people would be a dream to move here one day!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Thomas's charming cottage by the river, and it was an experience I won't forget. From the moment I arrived, Thomas and Paula were incredibly helpful, making sure I had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The cottage itself is a delightful retreat, with the river just outside the door, creating a serene atmosphere that truly enhances the experience. Listening to the gentle sound of the flowing river at night was remarkably soothing and made for a perfect night's sleep. I highly recommend booking a stay at this must-visit cottage.
