Cozy and extremely easy to walk to K college, Vine Neighborhood, downtown, etc

We had a fantastic stay. GREAT location and VERY cute place for downtown living. Walking distance or very short drive to everything we wanted to do. We only have two call outs: the drain in the shower needs some drain cleaner (water fills the tub quite high when showering) and secondly, there were conflicting check out processes left with us like how to leave the dishes or bedding. I followed what was emailed. We would definitely stay again or recommend! Loved it!! Thank you so much. BONUS!! - THE BEDS = #ohmygosh.. BEYOND comfortable.

Brittany and Joe are the best hosts! Extremely nice, thoughtful, and had excellent communication. The property has everything you need and is very clean. The view of the river was beautiful especially during snowfall. Access to Battle Creek was super easy and we had no trouble making it to Kellogg Arena in under 30 mins. There are plenty of nearby stores, we did Walmart pickup for groceries and two close Dollar General locations. There is also Pizza Hut for delivery and a variety of typical fast food options. I’m so thankful we found Thornapple River Retreat for our trip for this year’s Winter Classic Invitational gymnastics meet.

It was very enjoyable. Easy to check in to. There is a frat house next door so it was a tiny bit noisy

Super cute space. We are also very conscious of our environmental footprint and appreciated the attention to this. I was not anticipating the steep stairs for the second floor unit - plenty of guiderails and light but not easy to carry more than one object/bag at a time. The bedding was very comfy and decor was cozy.

This place did not disappoint! Exactly as depicted in the pictures and write up, it was even more lovely in real life. A wonderful warm and eclectic vibe. Felt completely at home and relaxed. Add to that the owner’s responsiveness and checking in to make sure we were enjoying everything and all I can say is I can’t wait to come back!

Had a fantastic stay! The private hot tub and sauna were definitely the highlights for me! The outdoor area even has a koi pond that provides such a relaxing touch. The bed was incredibly cozy! The property had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. I’d love to come back with the kiddos for a longer stay and to enjoy some lake activities. Highly recommend!

Steve's place is very large, super clean and beautifully appointed with original hardwood flooring, Lots of big windows for natural light, a giant kitchen & bathroom and tons of closet space. With lots of original artworks and a SUPER comfy bed, Steve's space was the perfect spot for me to stay after my days spent doing training at Henry Ford Hospital, which is why I was in Jackson. The unit has all the comforts of home there in the unit. Before going up there, I had messaged to see if there was a blender in the unit (I make a lot of smoothies, etc. for going to work), there was not, however, Steve was gracious enough to actually go and buy one, and a very nice one at that. He was always polite and always promptly responded to all my questions, etc. I would HIGHLY recommend his unit as it was a very comfortable stay! :o)

Rob's place is fantastic! This is our second year renting for an annual Halloween gathering and this home is perfectly equipped. There's more than enough personal and private space for big groups + fur babies. We love using the hot tub and the theatre. The grounds are stunning, with great views and a lot of privacy, while still close enough to town to run out for anything we needed. The hosts anticipated our needs and even added some lovely spooky decorations to enhance our weekend. We can't recommend this property or the hosts highly enough. We'll definitely be returning!

The pictures listed on here did not do this gorgeous stay justice! It was so peaceful and quiet to just sit outside and listen to all the birds and running creek in the yard. The beds were comfy and fit our family of 4 perfectly. The kitchen was an absolute gem and the hosts left emergency items that we thankfully didn't need (besides 2 bandaids). But it was so great that they thought of everything! Great little place that we'd love to come back to!

Great stay! House was spacious and had everything I would need, appreciated the detergents, soaps, plenty towels and bedding, coffee and tea. Loved the recommendation for the boat, great guy. Easy fishing of the dock.

Went here for a book retreat with a friend and it was perfect for our needs. Big comfy couch, beautiful view out the window and space to sit outside and enjoy the sunset.

From the very beginning when we made our reservation Eugenie was an amazing host. very warm and friendly. The house feels like staying at your own home. So warm and inviting. The view of the lake from the house is amazing . The pictures don't do it justice.

Had a wonderful stay. Would recommend to others and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

I loved what I saw online before booking, but the place was actually even better than what was shown. I would highly recommend this place and would be glad to book again if I'm in the area.

I’ve stayed at a few AirBnB’s so far. This was a very memorable experience. Kristen was one of the best hosts I’ve had. Very responsive, clear instructions and her place was beautiful. It was a lot larger than I expected and the parking was great. I would highly recommend her place to anyone!

Val was an amazing host. She was always available when I had any concerns and accommodated any requests I had. she also helped me get to know the area better by recommending activities for my daughter and I. I'm really going to miss the view from the wall length windows. The location is great, everything you need is literally up the street. Downtown is a 5 min walk from the condo and is so beautiful. I would stay again.

I traveled to Michigan with my sister for a family reunion, so I wanted a place with two separate bedrooms. Boz's place was a great choice. It is one unit in a community of four-unit apartment buildings. It was probably built in the 1970s, but it has been fixed up well. Everything was squeaky clean. I walked around in new white socks and had no worries about getting them dirty. Boz included some nice details, including fluffy towels and a big new bar of soap. The shower is mounted up high, which I appreciate because I'm tall. The unit has its own 40-gallon water heater. There was a bowl with packaged snacks like granola bars, which was helpful in the morning to hold me over before I left for breakfast. The location is three minutes (by car) from an Aldi grocery store, but I never used it on this trip. I ate breakfast every day at Roxie's which is a great place that's only about four minutes away. I will be happy to stay here again next time I visit Kalamazoo.

Very clean and nice. Everything is like it says in description. Carlene is so friendly and helpful. It feels like home. Will book again for sure.

Our stay was amazing, a very clean minimal place. There is a train right outside the building that was kinda loud but obviously out of anyone’s control. But other than that I had a peaceful stay!!

Stayed for a week with our 2 year old and 6 month old while our home was being renovated, it was perfect. Very comfortable and accommodating for young children.
