The area and view are beautiful and the home's decor is welcoming. The home was very comfortable for our family group and had a VERY well-stocked kitchen. The master bed was VERY comfortable as were the rest of the beds. My husband and I slept well. We all felt at home. MJ was very responsive when I had questions and communicated about the property in clear, concise language. The host provided many outdoor recreation opportunities, which included paddleboards, kayaks, and life jackets. There was a nice sized pool but we were visiting out of season so we did not use it. The exercise room downstairs has a lot of equipment. We all enjoyed our time together. Our family is asking to come back again next year. Thanks for a great stay!

Second time staying here and you can’t beat the location. If you love being on the water and are looking for a nice escape, this is your place. Colin is a great host too. Highly recommend to everyone !

My wife, 4 year old son and I enjoyed a week at John’s beautiful home on the Patuxent River. The house and property were perfect and the views were amazing every day. The house had everything we needed and we felt right at home. He was very responsive and helpful when we had questions. We look forward to staying here again in the summer!

The house was perfect for our family get-away. There is enough room for everyone and yet the large public space made it easy to congregate. The kitchen is amazing for the cooking a meal and there was a great selection of movies when we came back tired and wanted to unwind. It was quite cold out but the house was warm and cosy and we enjoyed our time hanging out there.

An extraordinary place to rest & recharge. The views, the comfort of the home, and the gorgeous walking trails, through woods & beach are a perfect combination. Everything we needed & then some.

We had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing weekend at this cabin. The property is stunning, offering both breathtaking views and a wide range of activities. The karaoke was a highlight, and we thoroughly enjoyed the games in the basement. This cabin is the perfect retreat for spending quality time with family and friends. We’re already looking forward to returning!

We had a wonderful stay at the Rivah house. it's a beautiful location and kayaks are provided. there's also a full kitchen, lots of sleeping space, and a big tv. A great place to enjoy time in the water and see a beautiful and lesser known part of Virginia.

What a beautiful off the beaten path place to stay. You are within walking distance of restaurants, coffee, and grocery. But feel like you’re miles away. That’s the effect the cabin has on you. There is a beautiful waterfront that you can enjoy from just about every area of the home. Jim was more than helpful. He really went above and beyond over most host. We would definitely Stay again. It’s the perfect spot if you need to relax.

The place was just like in the pictures—very quiet and peaceful. Directions were clear and access was super easy. We especially enjoyed the kayaking—it was very good! We weren’t lucky enough to catch anything this time, but we still had a great time out on the water. The owner was also super accommodating and let us check out late without asking for any extra money, which was really kind and appreciated. Overall, it’s a nice and cozy spot, perfect for a relaxing getaway.

Heather’s place is a little paradise on the water. Peaceful, quiet, and perfect for some real rest and relaxation. The house was exactly as described—spotless, all new, and super comfortable inside, with beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy. Annapolis is just a short 25-minute drive away if you’re looking for great food and things to do. Communication with Heather was easy and fast. I’d come back anytime I’m in the area again!

A beautiful home with space for several people, close to the water and surrounded by beautiful pine trees. Clean and tidy with a coastal charm, pet friendly is an extra bonus! Owners were very supportive and communicative.

We were very pleased with this property. It was exactly as it appeared on line. Great water front property while at the same time feeling very private. The kitchen was well stocked both with cooking necessities and also provided the work tools needed to prepare food. Great property and a lovely experience.

This was our second visit to Mallard Cottage for my husband and I. Just like our previous stay, this is the perfect mix of serenity from the water view and a well-stocked kitchen for cooking some wonderful meals. A. J. and Lindsey remain very helpful and responsive, which ensures peace of mind.

We had such a peaceful fun time at Pizza Friday! So close to st.Mary’s campus so it was very easy for frequent trips back and forth during our stay. Highly recommend and I hope to stay there again in the future.

From the moment we arrived, Alex and his wife were incredibly accommodating and helpful, ensuring we had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage itself was cozy and well-maintained, offering everything we required for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking sunset views. Watching the sun dip below the horizon from the dock was simply mesmerizing. The location is also ideal—just a short 10-minute drive to downtown St. Michaels, where we enjoyed exploring the local shops and restaurants. The hosts truly go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome, and it shows in every aspect of their hospitality. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable retreat.

Just a stunning location! The bird watching was marvelous, every morning a pair of swans landed and swam around until dusk. Lots of blue herons, too. Good fishing right out of the back yard. The kitchen was very well appointed, good cookware, plates, cups, etc. bed were comfortable with really nice pillows. We spent most of our time around the fire pit or on the screened porch. A great place for relaxing!

We absolutely love this spot! Second time here and it’s the perfect mix of family friendly and peaceful for the parents. Kids could hang downstairs or near the pier while we relaxed in the family room and screened in porch. Can’t say enough about this home away from home!

We had a wonderful few days at Teresa’s cozy and comfortable cottage! It was cold for April and the wind was blowing but the electric fireplace and the wall heaters kept us warm and snug. We bundled up and ventured out to the beach for a bit. The location can’t be beat! Unfortunately, the water was too high to get around to the lighthouse, but that changes from day to day, I’m sure. We still found a few shark teeth and some sea glass. This was the perfect place for a getaway for just the two of us. We can’t wait to come back when it’s warmer! Thanks for everything, Teresa!

Lovely and quiet stay! We wanted to get away from the city for a few days and this was exactly what we needed. The house and lake are beautiful, clean and quiet.
