What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

A really relaxing place to stay and great location for exploring this part of the country. Many great locations within easy striking distance. Sam was an excellent host and such a delight to chat with, really helpful and made the stay so relaxing. Treetops is such a unique place, very comfortable and relaxing, you feel right at home. Great to find an Airbnb that is not cluttered with crockery and gadgets and with room to store your shopping and exactly everything you need. The hot tub was excellent and we used it every night to relax. Thanks Sam, cannot recommend you highly enough.

I can’t recommend Lisa’s place enough. We had a different air bnb booked which cancelled on us 2 days before our trip. We were so pleased to find Lisa’s lovely home and we are pleased our original one cancelled! The house is really large and spacious, lots of room for our group of 10. Rooms were comfortable and all facilities were more than adequate for our group. Lots of seating inside and out, lovely hot tub and a lovely sunny garden. The house is on a quiet estate with ample parking. Lisa communicated really well and check in was easy. Would highly recommend

We had a lovely stay for NYE at Ingram House! The bar area was a great space to relax in and the dining room and lounge area were also lovely. There was plenty of space and it was very comfortable! Highly recommend a stay here!

Pauline was not only an exceptional host, responsive, friendly and warm, but her place was stunning. The location is beautiful and so peaceful. Watching the sunset over the fields from the hot tub was perfect! The cottage itself is a perfect size and just beautifully decorated and laid out. And Pauline has thought of everything. The little touches really made our stay. I can’t wait to come and stay again!

Massive thanks to Chris and Erick, once again a truly magical and restful stay. Thank you for accommodating earlier openings for the pool and for providing information about surrounding areas to visit and the weather for the week, this was very useful. The cottage was beautiful as always and full of everything we could possibly need during our stay. The gardens were lush and full of life and we enjoyed walking amongst the flowers. The pool looks great since it’s refresh works and we look forward to coming back soon.

we stayed in hut #2 on Aidan and Wendy's property. The introduction was great, we dealt with Aiden. A straight shooting gentleman, he explained the rules and general procedure to me and my partner before leaving us to ourselves. The property is well kept and tidy, there are security cameras all over the place (they are not aimed at the hut), for that peace of mind. we had a suprise visit from Aiden and Wendy's pup which was a pleasant suprise as our dog made a new friend. The huts are small so with two of us and a large dog it was pretty full but if you've read the description and pictures you'll know what your getting into. we really liked that cosy feel. Especially with the wood burning fire on. The back roads can be daunting to navigate if you are not familiar with country lanes but take it slow and you will be fine. It's worth the trip to Aiden and Wendy's sanctuary.

Lisa’s Home was absolutely beautiful and perfect for my Daughter in laws hen !! From start to finish Lisa’s communication was brilliant. The house was exactly as described and more, with everything you could need. It was perfect for relaxing with a hot tub looking over the fields and an open planned family area for spending time together, comfy bedrooms and luxury bathrooms, also so close to Canterbury for a day or night out. Thank you Lisa.

Great place to stay out of the hustle & bustle of Whitstable but a gorgeous walk in along the beach / coast walk - flat and easy for all. Really enjoyed staying in this area - lovely houses and beach feels very private. Plus the house is 3 houses down from the sea and upstairs bedrooms have great seaview. Very sociable space - 4 couples stayed and we had so much room to cook, eat & sit and the garden is a bonus.

We spent a wonderful 5 days at Hesmonds. Stephanie’s instructions/directions sent prior to the check in date were clear and helpful. There was a lovely welcome pack of the essentials such as milk, bread etc waiting for us upon arrival. The cottage was comfortable, clean and had everything that we needed. It is in a beautiful location and has its own private entrance as well as space to park the car. It is within walking distance of the local pub, coffee shop and village store and a short drive to lots of lovely villages as well as the south coast. We will definitely come back to visit again.

We had a lovely weekend in Simone’s beautiful home. Being so close to the beach was fantastic and loads of lovely walks with our dog. Thank you

Dani's place is a lovely detached property in a development near the beach. It was peaceful and very nicely decorated. The place was well equipped although kitchen roll would have been useful and we aren't that keen on UHT milk! Other than that we couldn't fault it. We would definitely go back. The food at The Owl was excellent and easy walking distance away. If you want to walk to the beach don't try section D like we did - cross the car park to the right hand corner, by the pay machine, and access via the much easier section C.

Grateful to find such a wonderful retreat. Warm, cosy, welcoming & thoughtfully laid out. Convenient for visiting our family in Lewes. Thank you for making our stopover so relaxing.

Fantastic house in a great location overlooking the Royal Harbour. Easy walk into town & local amenities. Highly recommended.

Wow, what a gem! I booked this property mainly because of the location - I was in the area visiting family and it was ideally placed. I also loved the look of the property and it didn't disappoint, it felt immediately homely and was very comfortable. What I hadn't reckoned on was the warmth of the welcome provided by Alexis and her family, from the home baked muffins waiting for us when we arrived, to the regular visits from her three gorgeous dogs. The children loved the treehouse and the donkeys, and Alexis recommended some lovely walks from the property, although our busy schedule meant we weren't able to take advantage of these - something for our next visit! If you're thinking of booking this property and you're hesitating for any reason, I urge you to go ahead! It's a truly special place with a wonderful host.

We had a lovely stay at the hive. The host was lovely and made us feel at home straight away. The accommodation is amazing. The bedroom is small but cozy . The kitchen, bathroom, and living area was amazing and finished to a very high standard . Amazing walks right on door step and a cafe a close walk away exactly what we wanted. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

I would happily give this an 11/10 rating. From the start, Larissa was approachable and friendly. The property was lovely, with quality fittings and furnishings. The location was ideal for visiting numerous places. Parking was right next to the property, on a large private drive. A welcome pack included breakfast cereals in jars, as well as fruit juice - a lovely touch. The icing on the cake for us, was that Larissa and her Husband had researched local WW2 remains, as well as cycle routes (as they knew that was why we were staying there), and left us a lovely letter with ideas of where to go, as well as relevant leaflets tied up with a ribbon - Above and beyond expectations. We spent a lovely week at Alison's farm. Beautiful location near charming Ticehurst and Wadhurst (both have good Pubs), incredible views across open countryside and hills from the heated outdoor pool, which our daughter loved. Slides, swings and a trampoline bonus points with kids. Alison was friendly and helpful. The Shed itself is warm and comfortable, kitchen is kitted out for basic meals, and the two ensuite bathrooms are super spacious and have good showers with hot water plus bathtubs. There is so much to do in the area from beautiful walks, tastings at vineyards, to cyclyng in Bedgbury, boating in Bewl Water and seaside beauties Rye and Camber in the vicinity.

Excellent stay - very large & spacious! The game room was a hit for adults & kids! The two kitchens were very useful too. Can't wait to come back in the summer and make the most of the large lawn & pool!

I booked to stay at the cottage for my husband's birthday and it didn't disappoint. The communication between myself and Tim & Maite was great. They were always responsive and super helpful. The photos of the house don't do it justice. It’s such a lovely area and although you may see the occasional walker in the distance, you feel like your'e in the middle of nowehere. The hot tub was a great addition to the property, especially since the pool at the house was not available due to it being out of season and super cold, as explained prior to our arrival. We ( and the kids) loved the house, loved the fire, loved the hot tub, loved the games, We played the family edition of Cards Against Humanity and it was just a lovely relaxing family weekend away without computer games - it was bliss. The perfect setting and in my husbands words - it was the perfect find! Thank you so much to Tim and Maite for such a wonderful stay.

We hadden 4 fantastische dagen in het huisje van Caroline. De kinderen waren heel gelukkig met de chocolaatjes en zelf was ik helemaal in de wolken met alle prachtige bloemen die werkelijk overal in het huis stonden! De locatie was zalig rustig en een goeie uitvalsbasis voor een aantal daguitstappen. We sliepen als roosjes in de comfortabele bedden en werden elke ochtend wakker met het gefluit van de vogeltjes. Het aanwezige ontbijt was de kers op de taart want zo konden we rustig aankomen zonder al direct te denken aan de volgende ochtend. We raden een verblijf dan ook zeker aan! 😊

This house is absolutely fantastic. Our group of 9 including a teen and two 9-year-olds stayed very comfortably for a week with a typically English mix of weather and the house accommodated us amply. The spaces were all individual, relaxing and full of beautiful furniture and art, we loved the characterful high-ceilinged garden room and the sitting room big enough for all 9 of us to play games. All the first floor bedrooms were large with comfortable beds and generous storage, and the second floor attic with two bedrooms and a relaxing space between was a great little world away. The rambling garden and the tennis court, trampoline, warm pool and table tennis were a real hit with our group. Locally there was something for everyone, highlights including great walks from the house along the river and up onto the spine of the South Downs, and garden visits to High Beeches and Sussex Prairie Gardens. Enzo and Lucy are well deserved superhosts, we would return in a heartbeat.

Great house to spend time with friends for a 50th. Very close to Canterbury which has lots of great shops, bars and restaurants. Also close to Chapel down and a couple of stellar pub do lunch out dinner. The house was everything we needed it to be and the pool was perfect!
