I recently had the pleasure of hosting a staycation at Ashmi’s delightful home in Royston, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes and a beautifully presented basket of goodies. It was filled with delectable local treats, indulgent chocolates, and even a bottle of milk to have a cuppa at the start of our stay. Accompanying this was a thoughtfully compiled book of recommendations, brimming with insider tips on the best local spots to explore—from quaint tearooms to scenic country walks. The house itself was absolutely immaculate, with a spotless kitchen that was a joy to use, and spacious, beautifully designed living areas where we could all relax and unwind. Every nook of the home exuded charm and comfort, ensuring that everyone felt right at home. The highlight for us all was undoubtedly the jacuzzi, a luxurious retreat that provided hours of relaxation and laughter under the stars. It’s soothing warmth!

We had a fab girly/baby shower weekend. Lucie's home is beautiful and has so much character. It was lovely to have the ponies at the bottom of the garden in the paddock. The weather was amazing so didn't get to use the log fires but I'm sure they are a great feature in winter. There was plenty of bath towels and towels for the hot tub, another plus! Kitchen was well stocked with crockery, serving platters, etc and with an air fryer too! The pool table was enjoyed very much by some of us. All electrical goods worked well and internet was great! I'm sure we will be back in the future and maybe for longer than a weekend Thank you Lucie. You are an excellent host!

Really nice stay. Amelia was really helpful and went the extra mile with everything. The yurt was great, and had an extra bed and cot in as requested. We had all we needed and more in a great location, the hot tub was lovely - we paid for the heat up service for when we arrived and it was still hot the next morning! My only criticism would be that due to staying in december, we couldn’t hang out our wet swim clothes/towels so they made the yurt smell damp where we tried to hang them up to dry & where it was muddy outside we were bringing it all in with us. But other than that it was an amazing stay and will definitely be back! Thanks Amelia!

We were greeted well upon arrival. They showed and explained everything. We were also lucky to see beautiful peacocks on the territory. The house corresponds to the description and photos. There is a good sauna, a large pool and there is a passage from a small goubina to a large one. The jacuzzi is also large. Everything is clean and neat, we liked it, the child is delighted, we will definitely come again.🙃

We had a lovely long weekend at Anna’s Coach House celebrating my mum’s 60th with my family. There was something for everyone including our 3 toddlers. Grounds were beautiful & the house smelt lovely & clean. Anna was very responsive & helpful during the lead up to the stay as well as during our stay. The only slight negative myself and my guests had was that upon booking we had expectations that some things would be included in the price as it was shown in the photographs (hot tub, extra fire wood,electric charger for example) but these were all at an additional costs that we were unknown about when originally booking. There were a few logs but didn’t last more than half an evening. Apart from this everything was lovely & we would recommend Anna’s Coach House.

We stayed at Tara’s place over the weekend for my dad’s 60th birthday & it was perfect. The location was very peaceful and scenic. As for the airbnb it was stunning, everywhere was spotless! We enjoyed the hot tub, and sitting around the huge center piece table. Tara really has thought about everything with her place, there really is all you need. The underfloor heating is a great touch especially when visiting in these colder months! Only 5 of us and our cute mini schnauzer stayed here, but i can imagine if 8 people were to stay here the one shower situation could be slightly inconvenient, especially being an en-suite from the master bedroom, but it worked pretty perfectly for us. Tara is a great host with a wonderful place & definitely is a perfect place if you’re looking for peace, quiet & comfort with your close ones. - We will be returning in warmer months! Our group of 16 ladies stayed at Luke's and it was perfect! It had everything we needed to fit/seat/cook/sleep us all comfortably, with beautiful surroundings and the added bonus of a gorgeous hot tub overlooking the fields. Luke was great at answering questions we had in the lead up to our stay and was fast to reply. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone. Thank you Luke!

Had a fantastic stay, the place was beautiful! It had everything we needed and we would happily stay again. A group of 6 women stayed and we had 3 bathrooms and another toilet so it was perfect for us. Kitchen was fully equipped and place was very clean. We had towels for the hot tub and robes too which was a lovely touch! All the instructions were clear and helpful and we had no problems! Thank you again

A great "quirky" place, will definitely visit again. The host Caroline was very helpful and our 4 dogs also loved the enclosed gardens.

Perfect place for a romantic off grid get away. We loved the hot tub although the water level was quite low, only lower chest height so shoulders were cold. The hot tub its self was lovely and hot, heated with a gas bottle. Bed and bedding were so comfortable, cosy and warm. We loved the log burning fire and the hosts very quickly brought us down the logs when asked. The Winnie is situated in a lovely secluded space with a beautiful lake for fishing. We took full advantage of this. The stay was topped off with a wonderful cooked breakfast delivered to our door at 9am, £6.50 so reasonable for a full English. We ate this around our fire pit looking out on the fields. Only thing we were missing was the sugar for the coffee. Batteries in the lights over the bed didn’t work but thats only a small note. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay and cant wait to return again. Thank you both for you amazing hospitality.

We had a lovely time. The place was immaculately clean and perfect size for 4 people. The place is only around 25 minutes drive to central Cambridge and also away from city crowd. It’s in a peaceful and quiet surroundings. Hot tub is an extra charm of this glamping pod. The only issue is that there’s no microwave in the kitchen. Apart from this, I would highly recommend this place.

we loved our stay here, despite the rain! The new pagoda meant we could still enjoy the hot tub. Our little ones loved it too! Everything we needed.

John was a great host, he welcomed us and was very friendly and communicated from the start. The lodge is so peaceful, quiet and scenic. The amenities are great, only suggestion would be some light blankets as it gets cold and they would have been nice to sit outside with. We didn't stay long, only 2 nights, would happily have stayed longer and would deffo come again for race days. Lovely local pub 2-3 min walk away the Red Lion, beautiful food and staff were friendly.

Great little spot, sad not to be able to swim in the lake but enjoyed the view from the hot tub all the same. The beautiful lodge is 25-35 mins from Stamford where there are lots of lovely restaurants and shops and Rutland Water where we hired bikes for the day and cycled the 17 mile circuit. Stamford also has a Cook, so great and convenient if you are eating in. Not much to do in the immediate vicinity, but some lovely walks around the lake.
