My boys and I had a wonderful stay at Barley Cottage. Stephen and Philip are amazing hosts, super friendly, very knowledgeable of the area and great conversation. The cottage was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The beds were super comfy and the shower was great. Water Newton is an idyllic little village just a stones throw from Peterborough, but a world away! We loved every minute of our time there.

Gill is very friendly and always helpful. She adds some lovely little touches, such as a fruit bowl and breakfast. This is our second stay here and we will definitely stay again.

Karen’s place was very nice and as described. There was a set of breakfast treats to make life easier and milk, tea and coffee provided. Check in was smooth and easy with Karen leaving clear instructions. There was a window of time in which guests were asked to not be in as the room would be cleaned/inspected. As I was at work during this time it wasn’t an issue but if you were staying a prolonged period it’s something to keep in mind.

Stephen is amazing, personable, responsive, ready with helpful actionable suggestions if you need them . The place itself is on a beautiful , riverside property, with beautifully maintained garden, swimming pool. It is 10 minutes drive from Peterborough and 25 minutes form Stomford, and has many trails and walks around that you can explore.

We were met upon arrival and shown to our room. Everything was explained to us and if we needed anything just to ask. The property is very easy to find and was just as you see in the photos. Royston is a lovely town with nice restaurants and a Tesco had lots to look around and had the perfect access to Cambridge. We had a lovely time.

Helen's place was perfect for our stay in Over, Cambridgeshire. We were visiting my husband's family and we enjoyed being able to walk to the pub to meet with them. Helen's place is in a quiet neighborhood and had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again!

Absolutely perfect for our stay and we’ll most definitely be going back! Caroline and John were brilliant hosts!

This place is perfect for a quiet getaway. The hosts are fantastic and the lovely warm pool is great to play in with the kids. You can even go fishing at the end of their garden ( which I took full advantage of!!) or just relax with a glass of wine and sit looking over the river. We look forward to returning next year.

William is a super host. seeing is spectacular and place is spotless. the cottage is on the small side, but that is clear from the listing...

Ideal location for walking into Stamford, a pleasant five minute walk for us . Very well appointed accomodation in a peaceful secluded area . Easy access by car in and out of the town and good on site parking. Lindsay-Jane respected our privacy but was very helpful when needed . We hope to return to stay with her again very soon . Many thanks .

After a long drive from Portsmouth, we were welcomed by Rosie's husband who showed us where to park and took us to the door of the flat and gave us the key. The flat is very clean, and we felt at home with the soft furnishings and very comfortable beds. As two female friends who were attending a funeral the next day, the safe and peaceful surroundings were very helpful, and we enjoyed watching the birds in the garden the next morning. We both slept well, were able to make a cooked breakfast with a long day ahead of us, and enjoyed the wonderful shower. As we left, Rosie's husband was there to make sure we had enjoyed our stay...which we definitely had! We'd highly recommend Rosie's place.

Thank you for a fantastic stay. The accommodation was very well presented and homely. Janie was super helpful - spoke by phone - and the room has a lovely little patio to sit on and drink tea / listen to the birds and read. Absolutely no noise - so if you are after peace, quiet and relaxation it is perfect. I used it as worked in the area - wifi was brilliant and clear instructions Lovely selection of fruit and cereal - everything you needed for breakfast along with different teas and coffees. Would definitely stay again - the George Inn just a few 100 metres away was friendly, good value and great quality. Janie also provides a good list of recommendations in the area for eating. Thank you Janie - super host, super accommodation.

Just wonderful! I loved coming back to this home- from-home vibe lodge after a busy day with two young grandchildren! So very peaceful, views are incredible across the fens, sunsets and star gazing were fantastic. The lodge was immaculately clean and very well equipped with everything I needed. Lots of luxurious touches, unlike others. A lot of thought has gone into the lodge and it shows. The bed was so comfortable, linen smelled unreal, the internet is excellent and the smart TV. Morning coffee outside watching birds of prey was extra! I don't look for fault when I stay at a property but if someone does they wont find one here. Parking is great, right next to the property, access and directions are very easy. As a lone traveller I felt very safe here and hosts Ali and Mark were most helpful. I highly recommend Sunset Lodge. Perfect.

Dallas was a perfect host. My room was clean and fresh and the little touches like cereal and treats was lovely. I have no problem recommending people to stay here.

Isabel was extremely welcoming and helped make the arrival stress free. The ‘extra touches’ were much appreciated and everything about the Hideaway was well thought through. Beautifully clean and comfortable. Thank you Isabel, hopefully I’ll be able to book next time I need to work in Cambridge!

I spent a very comfortable few days at Rosa’s Mill House. It had everything you need with a very generous selection of breakfast items. I was made to feel very welcome by Rosa and would certainly stay again, highly recommended. Ideal for a holiday base to explore what’s on offer in the local area, close enough to amenities to be convenient but in a quiet village away from the hustle and bustle, perfect!

Great and comfortable space. Well thought out and washing machine and dryer very handy (although I did not use them).

The place and the host are incredible. Private room with its own living room, everything was utterly clean and If you are fancy in a walk the sorrounding area is full of fields and country side. I highly recommend it.

Well what a perfect little place!!! So welcoming and cozy Lots of extra little touches such as Gaviscon(!!) and tea bags biscuits etc. The bed was really comfy and the surroundings were so peaceful We really loved our flying visit and we are sorry we didn’t have longer to chill in the patio area! Thank you again I hope we will be back to visit soon

Wow, what a beautiful place to stay. Everything was spotless , very comfy bed and lovely hot shower. Fantastic place to relax at the end of a very busy day and even better to have a wonderful greeting from Komet and Bianca the horse and pony. Cannot recommend Nikki and Nicks conversion highly enough. There is nothing i could fault. Very easy to get to with a car. Thank you very much.

Comfortable, clean and tidy place to stay, private studio apartment with own entrance, very convenient to Cambridge, easy to park.

I stayed here for one night with my girlfriend as it was local to Cambridge centre with good transport links to and from. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a little getaway near Cambridge. The host was very welcoming whilst also letting us be to ourselves on our stay. The place was very very clean and well presented, it even had coffee, tea, extra pillows and a hair dryer to name a few. I would definitely stay again.
