We had a wonderful time! The house was beautiful, clean and comfortable. It was right by the shipping channel so we spent lots of time fishing. We also loved watching the ships go by. We came to crab in Hackberry and go down to Holly Beach but we loved the house so much we mainly wanted to hang there. Bruce was so much help! He responded almost immediately to any questions we had and went out of his way to make our trip more enjoyable. We are already planning on coming back next year!

Had a fantastic time with my parents. We hit the pier immediately and fished all day. The pier alone was worth the stay, setup perfectly for fishing. The room was very clean and comfortable, felt right at home! Not many restaurants in the area but just a short drive into town. If you go to fish and want to use live bait, be sure to bring your own buckets, aerator, and if possible, purchase bait before you arrive. The one bait shop close by will cost a fortune. $50 for half a pound of shrimp/bucket/aerator. This was our only negative during the trip and has nothing to do with this listing. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants their own private, fully furnished pier for the day!

Tonya’s place is perfect for those looking to fish. Which was exact what we came to Port Arthur to do. My suggestion is to do a pick up order at Walmart before you get to the house, besides the gas station there isn’t much on that side of town. There is a great boat ramp right down the road, has three piers to fish off or launch a boat if you have one. We had to check out early due to our dog cutting his paw back home. Tonya was quick to respond with check out information. My kids loved the fact that the house was on stilts and we even walked over to the park which was about a block away. Quiet location with lots of outdoorsy things to do- sea rim state park, the battle ground, watching the boats, and fishing.

Overall we loved our stay. The hosts were great and easy to work with. The home was honestly bigger than I expected inside and the location was perfect! The home was clean and there was plenty of necessities to not find ourselves scrambling to get new things. Definitely recommend this home and hope to come back again ourselves!

My friends & I recently spent a weekend at this beautiful home in the bayou, and it was exactly the escape I needed. From the moment we arrived, the peaceful atmosphere and stunning views instantly set the tone for a relaxing retreat. The house itself was cozy yet spacious, with a rustic charm that made it feel like home. Large windows offered gorgeous views of the water, especially during sunrise and sunset. The breakfast area overlooking the bayou instantly became our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening drinks. We spent most of our time outdoors—fishing, chatting with friends, having drinks/Momosas and just lounging around. At night, we grilled dinner, sat around in the “boom-boom room” as my husband calls it and watched the stars. It felt like time slowed down in the best way. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful, providing everything from extra towels to board games and local recommendations. Every detail was well taken care of, making the who stay extremely comfortable.

This quiet little condo was everything we needed for our week long getaway. nice fishing and crabbing spots all around and very close. We really enjoyed our time there.

It’s always a plus to stay as close to job site as we can. This is very convenient in that aspect! Not much around Cameron to do but feel very blessed to find a place so close to jobsite! The Nest was very clean and cozy! We enjoyed our stay here and Ginger was a wonderful host! This place has new appliances, beds are comfortable, and nice added touches like small stuffed animals for the kids to play with while there. Ginger was very helpful after I accidentally left a couple of items after our check out time. If we need to rent a place in Groves again it will be The Nest!

We had the most incredible stay at this impeccable beach house. The place was squeaky clean, beautifully maintained, and exuded a tranquil, relaxing vibe that made it hard to leave. The host was absolutely wonderful—attentive, kind, and made us feel right at home. Every detail was perfect, from the stunning beach views to the cozy, inviting interior.
