This is a beautiful location. A beautiful home with no expense spared. This is a magical part of the world and this is an enchanted house. I will be forever grateful to have stayed here. if you have the opportunity to stay here then do so. You will never be disappointed.

We had a fantastic week staying at the schoolhouse. It's in a beautiful and peaceful location but not too far from Port Ellen and the distilleries for all amenities. The house was well equipped with everything needed for self catering and a large and secure garden which was perfect for the dogs. There are also some beautiful beaches within walking distance where we saw otters and seals. Would highly recommend and would love to come back!

Our New Year week had every possible kind of weather. The cottage was a cosy refuge when the rain and wind were doing their worst. All the facilities were great, comfy bed, well-equipped kitchen, everything just the way you’d expect. Our terrier enjoyed being right beside the sea front. And the sun did shine, too, and we had a sauna and swim in the sea. All outstanding.

The kitchen was beautiful and so well stocked with everything you could possibly need and more! Lovely bathroom too. The house is really spacious and views from the garden and lounge were stunning. It is a very restful place to spend time. The coop is a 2 minute walk away. Georgie was only an email away should we have had any questions and responded promptly. We really enjoyed our time away. Thank you.

Wonderfully comfortable house in a magical spot by a loch. Great for a family group with a big kitchen and sitting room. Lots of space for everyone.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay st Ceol Mara, just everything we could have dreamt of and more! Beautiful house and surroundings and extremely friendly people, just loved every minute

We had the best time on the Isle of Arran and Kate’s school house was the absolute perfect base. I brought my partner, my parents and our dog and we found everything we could have possibly needed. The beds were so comfy and we were spoiled with the weather. I couldn’t recommend Kate’s place more, and I hope we get to come back again soon!

Sedna was a perfect venue for our family of 10 (6 adults, 4 children). A beautiful setting with views of Loch Fyne and walking access to Portavadie Marina with great spa facilities and restaurant. Also a great base for running, walking and cycling.

Our 4th visit to the flat. We feel right at home here and spent lots of time at the beach - even in the rain at 8am! We will definitely be back.

What a perfect place. Just what we needed. the house is gorgeous and spacious with breathtaking views. Its so well equipped, you just need to bring yourself really. We had a wonderful christmas and no doubt we will be back. The only minor thing was, the heating wasnt set on for our arrival, which should have been done. Instead, we were sat in freezing cold house the first evening. Overal, one of the best places we stayed so far.

Lovely stay in an outstanding cottage. Beautiful and stylish though cosy with a great view and a great kitchen which has everything you need. Very clean and spacious. We were unlucky with the weather but sitting next to the fireplace warmed us up nicely. We were welcomed very friendly and helpfull. We had a delicous dinner in Killberry and a beautifull hike near Ardpatrick. Would love to come back with friends!

Great few days on Bute staying on the boat. My boys loved the novelty value of staying on the boat. Boat was well equipped and the beds were much more comfortable than I thought they’d be!

Home had everything we needed for our family from 7 months to 60! Great and helpful host and lots of extras in the house. Very comfortable and relaxing. Good beds and bedding with curtains that blocked light early morning. Thanks for a lovely stay.

First time at lodge,we stayed for 4 nights great location for walking,good wildlife deer,sea otter,seals,& field mouse,no red squirrels to be seen (yet). Maybe better luck next time, Nice café at port ban not to far away (20 minute walk away from lodge).& Kilberry inn is 10 minute walk from lodge. The lodge is well equipped, everything you need under one roof, definitely be back again. Definitely would recommend.

Lovely stay at the cottage. Great to have outdoor space with table and chairs to enjoy our breakfast alfresco and a few sundowners on the bench in the back in the evening. Both areas fenced and safe for the dog to be off the lead. The cottage is in an ideal location for the beach the park and the licensed local shop “Bay Store” which serves a good coffee. 20 ish minutes walk to the pub “The Shurig” where we enjoyed a good meal. Would definitely come back to Whiting Bay and The Cottage!

We (myself, my partner and our dog) visited here in January and all had a lovely stay. The location is beautiful and room is really cosy. Absolutely spotless, all linens smelt really fresh. Has everything you needed. Plenty to see and do close by. Would recommend.

A lovely little hut for a couple and wee doggy. So beautifully decorated and very cosy, the wooden kitchen surfaces were definitely the better choice ;) In the garden you get a great view of the Paps of Jura and the hot tub is great for sitting outside in the cold but being warm! Comfy sofa and bed and since there’s not much to do on the Island it was nice to spend a full day in the hut. Would definitely recommend and come back again!

Ulrikes place was excellent, very homely and had all comforts needed. The view was spectacular especially from the hot tub. Communication was excellent. Uli is an excellent host and was always on hand for any queries we had.

Had a lovely stay at the Bay. Great spot right across from the beach. Lots to do for kids and families. Very comfortable rooms, and a great space for relaxing with family between the hot tub, cosy dining area and cosy living room. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful place, walks highly recommend the staff were wonderful

Cabin was lovely quiet and peaceful. had all the amenities needed. views were beautiful spent loads of time watching the wildlife and the lambs jumping around in the fields from the cabin porch. loads of good dog walking spots and nice beaches. had everything we wanted for a relaxing weekend away for 2 people and a couple of dogs. hot tub was good takes a couple hours to get it up to temperature but held the temprature well could sit in it for ages. supermarket 20 mins away and a local shop 2 mins down the road far enough from everything to be a quiet getaway in the countryside but close enough to everything you'd need would definitely recommend.

What a stunning place to stay, Much better than the photos listed.. they do not do it justice it’s absolutely beautiful. Everything needed or desired was provided, lots of lovely little touches made it extra special. Allison was a great communicator, experienced and left us asking no questions. The Isle of Bute itself is so pretty and very relaxing with amazing views and lots of nature. Would definitely recommend this location to friends. We hope to return one day.. especially to this ‘Bute’ iful air BNB. 😊

We just returned from an unforgettable stay at this beautiful house on the Isle of Arran, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views and the warm hospitality of our hosts, Joy and Chris. The house itself is spacious, immaculate, and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a true home away from home. Each bedroom is cosy and comfortable, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the island. The kitchen is fully equipped, allowing us to enjoy home-cooked meals together, and the living areas are perfect for relaxing with a good book or a movie. But the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the hot tub! After long hikes and beach walks, soaking in the hot tub under the stars was pure bliss. It's a wonderful addition that made our stay even more special. Joy and Chris were fantastic hosts, always available to offer local tips and ensure we had everything we needed. We can't wait to go back! <3

Very nice location and venue for our stay, secluded from the main house the Shepards hut felt very at home. Nice secure garden meant we could enjoy our break at ease knowing the dog couldn’t wonder off. The Shepards hut itself was adequately sized, warm and cosy through the night and absolutely immaculate. Sonia was very friendly when speaking over message and made herself available if required. However we didn’t get the chance to meet her as everything went so smoothly. I would absolutely recommend The Shepards hut to f&f and hope to return at some point, ideally for a longer stay.
