This was an amazing stay!! The house had the most amazing views, tons of space, great kitchen. We felt right at home. The area is gorgeous. It really feels like one of the last undeveloped places on earth. Dirt roads and lots of nature right at the front door! We had a pair of toucans and a pair of Scarlet Mccaws keeping us company. The moneys stopped by to pick bananas, and we had an iguana keeping un company at the pool. It is a really special place! The bedrooms were super comfortable and very well cooled so we slept great. All the recommendations for excursions (deep sea fishing, nature hikes, horseback riding etc.) were all amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

At Andy’s place the adventure comes to you. People pay to be taken out into the jungle for tours to see wildlife that showed up in our yard with no effort. The road to matopalo is rough - can’t be passed without 4wd. I wish we’d had higher suspension in ours but we managed. Stop at the bakery and the BM supermarket in PJ for food and stock up. There is no reason to return to PJ during your stay at Andy’s if you have enough food/drinks. Bring coconut oil for your legs to prevent sand fleas (this applies to all Costa Rica) deet also works but natural is better. I would call the experience *top notch glamping* you’re really outdoors and one with nature the whole time. Unbelievable surroundings with a bed and pillows, hot running water and a working range. Perfect for my family who’s used to campervan camping. Backwash bay was perfect for swimming. Andy’s place was perfect for watching surfers, sunrises and sunsets. Keep an eye out for bioluminescence after sunset!! & THE SWING AH!

Mike nous a accueillis par un "bienvenus au paradis"!!!Et nous nous sommes sentis comme dans un paradis tropical. Une maison en bois au milieu de la forêt avec les oiseaux pour réveil-matin. Nous avons pu observer des singes capucins et un toucan lors de nos balades. Sans parler des tours nocturne et ornitholgique avec Gustavo, que Mike avait reservé pour nous. En resumé Mike est un hote chaleureux et amical et Suchante est enchanteur.

Le logement de chez Wade est un havre de paix. Laissez-vous emporter dans un logement atypique à bord de son petit bateau. Toujours accompagné de son fidèle compagnon, Marley. Ces deux jours étaient vraiment hors du temps et paisible. Wade a sûr être très arrangeant dès que nous en avions besoin. Je recommande à 100% !

My husband and I were in need of some peace and relaxation and Villa Buen Trueno helped us accomplish that goal! You can’t beat the amazing patio and pool with the beautiful view! We spent most of our days there, eating our meals, reading books, playing games, and cooling off in the refreshing pool. We also enjoyed just watching all the variety of birds flying around the property. We could just sit for hours and take in the surrounding beauty. The kitchen was stocked well enough to cook many of our meals. However, this location has lots of great restaurants close by that we enjoyed—some with fantastic views and even monkeys who were playing nearby! Some nice beaches are close by as well! We spent the evenings in our bedroom watching TV on a laptop or playing games. We did so because it was too hot to stay in family room which had no air conditioning. This was our second stay with Nannette. The first time we stayed in the bungalow and this time we stayed in the villa. Both are wonderful!! We really loved the extra space inside and outside at the villa, and the pool was a welcome addition. There are so many great touches to discover here... the outdoor shower, an amazing indoor shower, several seating areas to linger and enjoy the property, beautiful artwork, a fully equipped kitchen, I could go on and on. The grounds are maintained beautifully and wild life is visible daily without having to go anywhere. Nannette and her team are great hosts, always going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We are already plotting our return. We have traveled all over Costa Rica and have found we prefer the laid back and uncrowded vibe of the Osa. Thank you Nannette for sharing your paradise with us!!

This house is great! The pool is the perfect size and has a platform shallow enough you can sunbathe on or kids can play on. Perfect for a family to enjoy. The main bedroom has an AC unit so you can stay comfortable while you sleep. Overall really impressed with this house. The caretakers are really nice people and happy to give local recs and can help book tours if needed.
