I felt immediately at home in Tzanabaj! Nico and Venus are great hosts and I loved my studio! right by the lake, peaceful, while also close to the city center (10 min tuk tuk), where the restaurants and supermarkets can be found. There is also a beautiful community living in the other houses, so you can have your privacy and socialise with other like-minded people if you want. Totally recommend!

We stayed for a month and had such a lovely stay. The location by the lake is amazing, the sunrises, daily yoga on the deck are somethings I will cherish forever. Negra, Paloma, Cometa, Patos, Chocaltey are some of the most loving dogs we ever met. I’m sure we would be talking about years later. Our daughter loved spending time with the dogs and goats, and it seemed safe to let her wander around by herself, thanks to the dogs which would always accompany her. Edgar and his son were very helpful and prompt. They have a lot of work in the farm, but are always smiling and gave us some farm grown bananas, avocados etc. The kitchen was convenient for us to make meals, and the beds were very comfortable. San Juan is a 15-20 min walk on the road or through the fields. We took some Spanish classes, weaving, honey etc. tours and the month went by quite soon. There are insects as the place is close to nature, but nothing concerning. Overall a magical stay we would love to come back sometime!

Es hat uns super gefallen! Wir wurden sehr herzlich und gastfreundlich von Christian und seiner Familie empfangen. Egal welche Frage wir hatten oder Hilfe benötigten, war er immer super schnell zu erreichen. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet, so dass man selber richtig kochen kann und die Betten waren sehr bequem. Wir hatten eine super Zeit in San Pedro und können die Unterkunft jedem empfehlen!

Un lugar muy tranquilo y sin ruido, todo muy limpio y en orden, una estancia agradable y muy recomendable.

WOW- words can't describe how grateful we are for Solina's casita for the Lake Atitlan portion of our honeymoon. It was beyond perfect! Solina was so helpful with local recommendations (restaurants, tuk tuks, etc) and very responsive. She walked us through step by step how to get to the casita, and Rosenda and Ventura were waiting for us when we arrived to show us the ropes (both incredibly lovely). Ventura helped us with our bags and Rosenda made fresh bread, guac, salsa and beans to welcome us and then did our laundry before we left which was incredibly helpful as we continued our travels. The casita was BEAUTIFUL with a romantic fireplace, gorgeous view of the lake (& sunrise!). We felt very safe- it was very walk-able to San Pedro's restaurants and bars and far enough away where we weren't bothered by the noise. We could definitely hear partying from a nearby hostel/club, but with the windows closed it didn't bother us and it seemed to be a slower season for partying. Thank you!

Great hosts. Neat little place. I hope I need to come back eventually.

Magdalena was a wonderful host and we had such a lovely stay. The view from the terrace was amazing (perfect sunrise spot) and the hot tub was great after a long day
