We had a fantastic 2 night stay at David’s place with our dog in March. It is very remote so take all that you need with you. The cabin has beautiful views of the mountains and the night sky from the hot tub was amazing. Take repellent for the sand flies, there were also lots of bees and wasps at the time of year we went. We didn’t want to leave and will certainly return.

If you are thinking about staying here - stay here! A standout experience of thoughtful accommodation. Guided to the cabin by solar lights on the driveway, the cabin was spotless and welcoming. The spa is fantastic, and the surroundings are stunning. Lots to do in the surrounding areas but plenty to keep you occupied just on the property. A favourite Airbnb stay for sure!

had a wonderful stay at the hightide river escape. The property was absolutley beautiful and well maintained and the cabin had everything you could have needed. the property was extremley close to hokitika town only being a 5 minute drive away, but with how the cabin was positioned you felt like you were in a very secluded area with absolutley beautiful views. Would highly recomend to friends and family.

Nice place close to the beach. Anna responded quickly and was very friendly. You should like dogs and not be allergic if you are planning to stay there. Description fit the reallity.

Stunning quiet location, very warm and cozy, great shower pressure and absolutely loved the pool table! Didn’t miss having a tv at all - lovely to be off-grid for a change. Huge deck which is all covered and would’ve been great if it was raining! But we had beautiful weather so also had no issues with solar power. Felt very lucky to be able to have our dogs with us. They had the best time too. Thanks so much, we had a great couple of nights.

We had a great stay at the cabin! It had everything we needed/wanted and was super homely. It was an ideal location for us, between the airport and Arthur’s Pass. It’s worth noting that the bathroom/utility section is a separate cabin, but this bother us as there’s shelter between the two. Kerry was really friendly and responsive. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We had a magical stay at Lake Hut, so calm and peaceful, great walks to the lake where our dogs had a ball running in and out of the water and adventuring. The outdoor bath under the stars was bliss and the indoor fire kept us very warm. Lisa is an excellent host and very quick to reply to all questions. we will definitely book again thank you very much for our stay.

Wonderful stop at the edge of the woods on our drive through the farmland of Canterbury region. Our stay was short but had everything we needed. It was a rainy afternoon when we checked in and the hosts had started a fire for us so it was ready upon our arrival. We cooked our own dinner in the well-appointed kitchen (grabbing groceries in Methven before arriving), and enjoyed reading the books that were stocked in the cabin about quintessential life in NZ. Rams and horses grazed in the field just beyond and there is a bath tub for unwinding after a long day on the road. Bed was super comfortable. We really felt like we were staying at a friends place. It was a real slice of local life.

James was a great host, very helpful and even gave us an upgrade. The setting was great and next to an incredible beach. Bostin!

What a lovely off grid stay! Cost cabin in such an amazing remote location. Was great to shut off and read, sew and nap!

This Airbnb is perfect for a cozy getaway for two. It’s warm, spotless, and offers an absolutely stunning view. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it!

Grace was a fantastic friendly host! She was always responsive and the location itself was superb. Very private and serene. The outdoor bath is such a nice feature to pair with the views. She also recommended us to check out the little river pumpkin festival that was happening the morning after which was very entertaining to attend.

This place was ideal for my writing retreat. It had everything I needed and was very comfortable. Having a writing desk and a proper computer chair was a real bonus and meant I could get on with my work and not end up with back ache. Lovely barn eggs and milk left for me too. I already am thinking about when I can come again! Thank you so much for everything!

Excellent stay for a family. Beautiful surroundings. Great location for exploring the Hooker trail and Dark Sky reserve. Nice wood stove and big windows in many directions One small thing that people should know: the stairs to the loft are a bit steep.

I loved my stay at Pete’s Place! It was so warm and cosy, the heated floor was amazing. The cabin was very welcoming and had everything I needed, using the percolator for coffee in the morning was a nice bonus! The area is so beautiful and peaceful too, I wish I stayed longer!

Peaceful little shack in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect for our week stay in Christchurch. Lesley was very helpful and always responsive. Would definitely stay again.
