A great retreat for peace and quiet. Very comfy, great bed, warm with heaps of cozy blankets and fresh laundered towels. Even fresh eggs from their hens. Exceptional hosts, very welcoming and accommodating. Can’t recommend highly enough

We had a lovely relaxing weekend in Akaroa. This property is in a great location that offers peace and privacy. There's plenty of room, good off street parking and beds were very comfortable.

We had a great stay over xmas and new years, it was a really nice family space and an ideal base for relaxing and enjoying Reefton and the surrounding area. Communication with Alice and Eamon was quick and easy.

Booked this for my dad and husband attending an event nearby. They really enjoyed the space, it was great value and really centrally located. Host was very helpful and friendly throughout, appreciate the proactiveness in her messages on check in day. 10/10

Beau logement moderne et propre avec chambres au deuxième étage, un bel petit espace extérieur pour l’apéro . Il se situe à 15 min. à pied du très beau centre touristique et des restos….bien aimé et je recommande sans problème !!!

The house itself was immaculate and cozy, but what truly made it special was the stunning view—surrounded by scenic and tranquil nature, it was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. If your looking for unique, rustic and quirky accommodations just 40 mins north of Christchurch, look no further. Damian’s barn accommodation is such a fun place to stay. From the spa to the turntable with lots of old vinyl to belt out. Topping this off with a glass of his Pinot Noir on the veranda in the afternoon sun was the ultimate escape. Damian is a wonderful host, friendly and welcoming. His breakfast hamper option is very generous and delicious. We were lucky enough to have a tour of the main homestead which has been lovely restored by Damian and also has beautiful BnB accommodation. Two wineries with great food are just minutes down the road. All in all I couldn’t fault this unique accommodation. Thank you Damian for your welcoming hospitality. Cheryl & Donna

Amazing farm stay experience and the owners are extremely sweet and overall we had a great experience!

It was breathtaking. The views from the house were some of the best I have ever witnessed. It was such a beautiful and big house. The deck with the hot tub over looking the lake was heaven. The whole house was just perfection. Wish we could have stayed much longer. Just dreamy.

This property was one of our favorites on our 3-week adventure across New Zealand! We unfortunately only spent one night here, but we would’ve loved for our stay to be longer. We took advantage of the natural plunge, private waterfall, and peaceful surroundings. Kylie was so kind and gave us a full tour of the property, making us feel right at home. The shed was so eclectic and unique, which we loved. We would absolutely stay here again (and for a longer period)!

Lieu atypique et plein de charme. Nos enfants ont adoré dormir dans l’ancien garage des diligences avec les selles des chevaux exposées comme décoration. Mike et Linda ont été très accueillant et nous ont fait faire le tour de la propriété qui réserve de nombreuses surprises! Malgré le temps pluvieux nous avons passé un très bon moment !

Spent a lovely 10 days here! Lovely and peaceful location, walking distance to the centre and close to a lovely trek by the river. Janee was a great host, super friendly and helped us with an early check-in. Would definitely recommend staying here😁😁

It's a convenient location close to the airport and there are a decent amount of cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. our hosts were friendly and proactive. I'll keep an eye out for availability when I'm back next. 5 stars.

Great place to stay. Nice private setting but also close to activities. Vety clean and tidy. I would absolutely stay again. Kerry was very helpful and Responsiveness was amazing.

Johns townhouse was beautiful to stay at , the place was super clean , the beds were so comfy and the kitchen was well supplied with everything you could need it was very clean and the small outdoor area was lovely although a bit hot with not much shade. .The location was great just up the road from a supermarket and many takeaway shops, close to the Avon river for a lovely walk , a short drive to Brighton beach and Lyttelton harbour . Thanks for hosting us John we would definitely stay again if available.

Great place to stay, nice and cosy with an extremely comfortable bed. The little cat is very friendly, and made our stay even more enjoyable and homely.

We spent two nights at the Black Barn, and it was the perfect getaway. The setting is incredibly peaceful, the bed is very comfortable, and the shower is fantastic. Helen was an amazing host too. We’d highly recommend it!
