lovely cozy beach place, almost directly at Scarborough's beautiful beach. we enjoyed it very much!

After week's of travel in Botswana with our 10 year old girls, Chris's bungalow and space was a mini oasis for our visit to Cape Town. The glorious setting, fabulous antiques, art, excellent kitchen, outdoor showers, wood-fired hot tub and having a million places to perch and just relax was near perfection. We were also so grateful to Chris for stocking the place with fresh fruit and other fabulous supplies that we didn't even really need to go out for food for a few days. We would recommend any of Chris's spaces to anyone who wants a home away from home with extra care, beauty and elegance.

Firstly, the pictures do not do this darling of a house justice! It is immaculate. We came for the weekend for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday and what a lovely time it is. Close enough to the beach and vibey places, but secluded enough that you can enjoy the peace serenity of the place. Karen was an amazing host! Very communicative, quick to respond and friendly.

Sophie's home was perfect. The charm of a Cape Dutch, down to the delightfully squeaky old hardwood floors, combined with well executed updates that are functional and beautiful. There are incredible spaces indoors and out that allow the house to become a sanctuary from the outside world while only footsteps away from the best beaches, bars, and restaurants of Camps Bay. Whether visiting Cape Town for work or play Sophie's home is a wonderful place to stay.

It was an idyllic stay: house and garden beautiful, with easy walking access to beach, mountain walks and charming town and coffee shops. If we had a problem, hosts were friendly and immediately responsive. I’d come back in a heart-beat. It was likely the last vacation I’ll have with my 90 year old mother, and we’ll treasure the memory of this lovely welcoming place forever.

Endlich ein Air BnB, dass sich anfühlt wie zuhause & auch so ausgestattet ist. Hier gibt’s alles, was das Herz begehrt, man vermisst nichts in der Küche, im Wohnzimmer oder Bad. So gemütlich, so ein Charme, wir waren hin und weg. Die Kristalle in den Fenstern, die Pflanzen überall, die Hängematten draußen, das alles hat die Unterkunft mehr zu einem Zuhause statt nur einem AirBnB werden lassen. Sofort wieder (ah und man ist krass sicher! Wir haben teilweise nicht abgeschlossen & das in Cape Town Area)

Howard and Miranda were charming, friendly and helpful. We stayed a month in the safe peaceful cottage..enjoyed the lovely garden..and welcoming dogs. Delightful road with beautiful trees. Wonderful Constantia Mall very close. Food shopping, gift shopping, hair and beauty, clothes and fuel.. We had privacy. Tony cleaned the cottage to perfection.

Very responsive and helpful host. Lovely property to stay. Beautiful veranda in a great location - peaceful and secure. Would come again and definitely recommend.

Die Unterkunft hat alles was man braucht um zu entspannen. Der Blick aus dem Schlafzimmer auf den Pool, einfach herrlich morgens so aufzuwachen. Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig, aber es ist alles nah - der Beach, leckere Restaurants, Supermärkte etc. mit dem Auto ist man auch in 50 min je nach dem wie der Verkehr ist, auch in Kapstadt City Center. Tausend Dank nochmal, das wir im Poolhaus unsere letzten Tage in Südafrika verbringen durften, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder ☺️

We really enjoyed our stay at Julia's house. The house is truely lovely and well equipped. From the terrace we had a scenic view of the bay and the moutain range. You can walk in 10 minutes to restaurants, cafes and shops. We loved to go to the beach every morning and have a cup of coffee there. If we come back to Hout Bay, we would love to stay again at Julia's house.

Glen Cottage was a charming and quaint cottage that meets all expectation. A beautiful setting and close to all amenities especially the beach. It is situated on a quiet and safe road a mere 100m from the beach. it was totally private and felt like home. it was all that Diana said it would be and we would definitely visit again. tx to Diana who made us feel welcome and trusted us with her charming cottage.

we had a fantastic time! we stayed a full week for exploring the western cape but also wanted a nice place to relax. for that, the cottage was perfect for our little family. it had everything we needed for staying with a baby - all the equipment and also quite a barrier free area. the estate is beautiful, so green with very well tended plants and a nice pool & sundeck area. we enjoyed having the dogs around who are very friendly. the view is amazing and I loved watching the sunsets. on top, jean paul was such a lovely and caring host, very helpful and always open for a chat. he is one of the best hosts I ever had with this platform. the location was adequate for our needs, a supermarket in 2 mins walking distance and a steak house. we liked that it was not too close to the buzzing boulevard. the walk down to the beach only took 12 mins. everything felt very safe, so no worries there. it truly felt like a home away from home, thank you!
