Unfortunately we only spend one night in this superb Manor House. Way too short! This is a fantastic location for a larger group of nature lovers. Beautiful house, nicely decorated and with a stunning view. Cows, horses and baboons in front of your garden, view on the river and the hills, what can you wish for more?!?

Spacious house in an ideal location! The house is in a secure estate and close to everything you need in terms of shopping, food, wine farms etc. We particularly enjoyed the amount of space with our young children. The trampoline, lake and beautiful views made our stay extra special.

Thank you once again to Johanika for an amazing stay, we always love staying here. Johanika is amazing, always there to help and goes out of her way. The home is beautiful and has everything you need. We will continue to stay when we go to Misverstand.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this accomodation. My two year old looooved the tractors and cows. Outdoor hot tub was delightful and the surprise of fresh bread, butter and milk on arrival was delicious. The only downside was not staying for longer.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gerrard's place. His co-hostess was friendly & helpful as was he. The area was clean and safe, very close to all amenities, walkable distance from the Strand beaches. It was literally our own holiday home for the week. Stunning back garden area with pool, and the trampoline was a huge win for our 2-year-old son. The separate patio/braai area was cordoned off from the pool with a little picket fence which made us feel safe with the pool (although we still needed to keep an eye on the child). Great conditioned Webber original braai, and a front driveway garden area with swing and place to ride the baby bike (under supervision as open to road). Thanks Gerrard, we would recommend and stay here again. Very close to Stellenbosch and Gordons Bay. Pics very accurate.

This was a truly fantastic home and stay - so beautifully designed and very functional as a home away from home - the house was comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed for a memorable stay. Communication was easy and very helpful with the host. Drinks in the garden were memorable. Thank you, Julia, for everything.

100 % recommend ❤️ Steve and his wife made our stay unforgettable. We arrived to a very nice house with homemade bread and gin & tonic. The next day Steve took us on an amazing drive around his farm, which encounters not only giraffes, zebras and other animals, but also a very interesting history of old bushman paintings in caves and lots more. Steve has so much knowledge and had an answer to every single question 😊 Also the accommodation is so beautiful, very clean and comfortable. On the evening you can make an own braai, and watch the stars from the hot tub. On our last morning we had breakfast with looking at the giraffes nearby the fence.

I needed time to myself after a personal loss and this place suited me very well. The two dogs were friendly and very well trained. The children delightful when they appeared for a short while after school in the afternoons. My month passed very quickly.

On an adventurous potluck road trip through the Cape, I mistakenly made reservations for the incorrect dates, but Sindy was incredibly gracious and helpful in changing our booking on extremely short notice and was friendly and welcoming. The exquisitely quaint cottage is self-contained with a separate little kitchen/ dining room with stove top cooking facilities, which lends itself to more extended sojourns without having to leave the farm. Situated on a traditional Cape Dutch farm, the grounds are breathtaking and populated by a variety of feathered animals and the most affectionate cats. With loads of activities on offer, we are already planning an extended family vacation.

I absolutely loved my stay. The farm is so scenic and peaceful. The cottage is much bigger than it looks on the photos. It had everything I needed and was very comfortable. There are loads to see and do. Especially if you love birds. Beautiful and easy walking trails. Perfect to break away. The hosts are kind, helpful and passionate about the farm.

We would definitely stay here again! The location among the vineyard was really quiet and nice. The cottages are situated close to each other but still private. Each bedroom had an en suite bathroom with a rain shower and lots of space. The furniture and beds were comfy and cozy. The braai areas were great and the wood fired hot tub was such a treat. Shout out to Lourens for the wine, he’s clearly a talented winemaker with an excellent sense of the craft and has a bright future as a representative of South Africa’s wine scene on the international stage. Lizelle was a great host and was tolerant of all my questions. The entire territory was quaint and there were two hiking trails and even a canoe and SUP by the river. Book here. You won’t regret it.

The most perfect location with serene views and peaceful surroundings. Everything you need is right there, a small river flowing past the house to swim in, beautiful and easy walks through the vineyard and the best of all a hot tub anytime you want it! The cottage is cute, clean and many amenities available to use. Will definitely be back at this location.

Mountain Spring Cottage is in beautiful mountainous surroundings on a working fruit farm. The three cottages on the property are all quite far apart, so you have a feeling of absolute privacy and tranquillity. The view from the stoep is spectacular and the outdoor bath was the highlight ... watching the stars from a warm bath was unforgettable. The cottage is tastefully furnished with old, or antique pieces; excellent quality linens and a well-equipped kitchen. We had a lovely summer break and made use of the swimming pool, and the possibility of an indoor fireplace made me want to return in winter! Thank you, Anita

Very friendly homestay with amazing views. Peaceful and quiet with a lovely big yard. It is surrounded by a picturesque countryside with beautiful views across the valley.Location was beautiful and there was lots to do nearby. We were able to contact Amelia and Jacques easily and they were very helpful; from restaurant & activity recommendations to use of the cottage amenities. We had plenty of room for two adults; two kids & two infants. Just what we need to get away from the hustle & bustle of city life.A very beautiful & spacious cabin; we will certainly be going back as there is so much more activities and wine farms we left without visiting.

The White House was a perfect weekend getaway from the city and exactly the technology and cell phone detox needed! Totally accessible by normal car as clearly stated by the host - the property is beautiful to walk around and well marked. The house itself had everything needed to cook, clean, braai, relax and everything in between. The hot tub was amazing to sit and relax in and watch the stars go by at night! Reminder to bring bug spray though! Was amazing to wake up in the morning with the blinds up and see the landscape. Will definitely be back!

We had the most lovely stay at Lalapanzi, the cabin exceeded our expectations and the surroundings and views were so beautiful and tranquil! We will definitely be back soon. Thank you to the hosts for your hospitality!

What a gem of a place! Such a beautiful, peaceful spot with a natural swimming pool in the river meters from the door. The house is tastefully appointed whilst still keeping a “comfortably at home” feel. We’ll definitely be back!
