Perfect relaxing stay for our group of eight. Grandkids loved the snacks left out. Also saw deer and the northern lights!

This place is amazing! I stayed for 5 days in March - kind of an in between season - but it was just what I needed. Very peaceful, spectacular sunrises, and I even saw a bald eagle flying really close to the house. This is a beautiful lake home with all kinds of luxuries and a ton of space. I loved the soaking tub and the huge kitchen. I think my favorite thing of all was all the natural light that came in through all of the tall windows. I discovered that Chub Lake Retreat is only 6 miles from Jay Cooke State Park! I drove over there one day and saw the half frozen river and falls. The location of this lake home is ideal for anyone who'd like to explore Jay Cooke or Duluth. Not to mention Chub Lake! The property is large, so the neighbors are not too close. There's a hot tub and fire pit outside too! This is truly a great find. Don't hesitate to book!

Absolutely loved the coop! Such a unique and fun stay. We unfortunately didn't get to enjoy everything since we had other plans in Duluth, but we're definitely going to return and make sure we hang out with the chickens. Hosts were super responsive and helpful and were clear on what we needed to bring to the stay which was incredibly helpful. Can't wait to come back!

We enjoyed our stay up at the cabin! The owners were so friendly and helpful with showing us around. The cabin was beautifully decorated and well stocked. There were so many amenities available to us to use. We loved the privacy of the property and how quiet and serene it was. We hope to come back to make more family memories. Thank you for opening up your cabin to us!

What a peaceful cabin getaway. We enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay an extra night to soak in one more day. Our favorite activity was gathering the downed tree branches and using them for firewood. We also loved reading in the sunroom by the fire and the hot tub soaks under the stars at night. The kitchen was well stocked and very nice (made us want kitchen aid appliances). All in all we couldn’t be more happy with our stay and will definitely be back again soon for more R&R.

This cabin made for a perfect fall weekend girls’ trip. Unfortunately did not get to see the northern lights, but we were able to see lots of stars and in the mornings, there were a couple trumpeter swans that hang out on the lake. The beds were comfortable and rooms were very clean.

What a lovely, peaceful space. The cabin itself is charming and it's just enough out into the woods that it's totally quiet, private and peaceful. It was exactly the recovery space we needed.

This home worked perfectly for us. The view of the frozen lake was enjoyable, especially with a cup of coffee in the morning. There were no problems walking the dog in the morning. My wife could walk along the paved road with no problems. The house was warm and enough bedrooms for our group of 6. The dining room table was large enough for everyone to sit down and have a nice breakfast. The kitchen was well equipped to cook a nice breakfast (scrambled eggs sausage, potatoes, toast and jelly). If we are up in the area we will definitely use this again.
