Parfait pour une halte ! Lieu très propre et accueillant, nous avons passé un bon moment. Le roof top est un vrai plus pour se poser le soir. Cuisine partagée très fonctionnelle.

Honking the horn after hours to come in was awkward and I was told not to even come unless I called first before I arrived even after I paid and got receipt and the convo consisted of nothing important.

The staff at Casa de Lis were all wonderful and definitely made my stay! The room itself is very basic but as advertised. I don’t think there is air conditioning which was ok for the time I was there but I could see it getting very hot. They have a lovely upper terrace and backyard which are great for relaxing. Kitchen is also fine, no frills but does the trick! There is private parking which was great. The free breakfast is at this really cute restaurant/bakery about a 5 minute walk and was one of the highlights of the stay! The hotel itself is very walkable within Turrialba, though from my experience there wasn’t a whole lot to the town. Would recommend arranging some of the excursions they recommend (or arrange independently) at least a day or 2 in advance as it was a bit harder than I thought to just make plans last minute. For me, I was grateful; the other Airbnb I had reserved ended up having the wrong location published, so I had to book this last minute, around 8pm. I was just there for a night, but the place had a cool, very old Victorian house-style vibe. Creaky old wood floors and really tall ceilings. My room was crazy large, but it was also a handicapped room, which should be plenty large. PARKING: So they do have their own parking lot attached to the hotel, but if you arrive at night, it is locked down. So you have to go to the front desk and they have a clicker to open it. So if you park at the hotel entrance, which is on a one-way street and not really a pull-over spot but not busy so if it's late a quick stop is probably fine (cars can get around you), the garage is at least 4 car lengths before the hotel, so be smarter than me so you don't have to go around or reverse down a one-way to get in the garage. Props to the front desk agent, responsive and friendly!!

Beautiful place by historic downtown San Jose, near all incredible museums, restaurants, nightlife and parks. Completely recommended to enjoy a traditional patrimonial Costa rican architecture and all the capital has to offer.

Liebevoll geführtes Hotel. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es war ein idealer Zwischenstopp für unsere Reise. Wir haben den kleinen Garten und die Dachterasse geschätzt. Vielen Dank!

Very nice tucked away little cabin. Good bed and very quiet. Little bit further away from sightseeing spots. But with über, bus and friendly Costa Ricans doable without a car. Hosts are very helpful and even offered driving me to a restaurant on arrival.

Si vous rêvez d’une cabane au bout du monde avec comme seul bruit celui du silence , cet endroit est fait pour vous… Confort sommaire mais tellement authentique ! On a adoré !

Campo Alegre is exactly what comes to mind when I think about the perfect Airbnb experience. Luis was a great communicator before we arrived and throughout our stay. The photos do not do the location justice! Waking up in such a peaceful place, greeted by goats, and then watching the clouds lift and reveal the spectacular view was an amazing way to enjoy the first morning of our trip. Luis prepared a delicious breakfast for my family and everything was either from his farm or bartered with a neighbor who produced it. What a special meal!! Accommodating my family’s vegan diet was no issue either. Then Luis took the time to show us around his farm and tell us about the different plants and animals he has there. The biodiversity was impressive and Luis’ knowledge and enthusiasm for his work showed. With sustainable practices such as recycling gray water, composting toilets, and ultra local food, you can feel great about helping the planet while traveling without sacrificing comfort.

¡Gloriana y Riogberto son los anfitriones perfectos, súper amables! El lugar es muy bonito y acogedor. También nos dieron buenas recomendaciones para San José y Costa Rica en general. El alojamiento está perfectamente ubicado para llegar al centro de la ciudad o al aeropuerto. ¡Muy recomendable!

Casa Kitus es un lugar agradable con una ubicación privilegiada donde todo queda muy cerca. Doña Lili es una persona, seria, amable, atenta, super servicial y siempre esta buscando la forma de mejorar el servicio al cliente! Todo en la casa estaba impecable y siempre ha sido así! Todos los meses viajo a CR por motivos de estudio y siempre me he alojado aquí! Gracias doña lili por siempre recibirme con su sonrisa y entusiasmo que la caracterizan. Dios me la bendiga siempre!

Great place to stay! I arrived late, and they were very kind to meet me and show me around. Great communication. Walking distance to the Tracopa bus stop.
