although due to weather, I wasn't able to make it Any was still super sweet, thoughtful, very prompt on all communication. She had suggested nearby sightings and was cautious on weather we had had. Hopeful to reschedule in the future. ❤️

The place is better than the pictures, they don't do it justice. Richard is very responsive and attentive, literally a perfect stay with no issues. newer home, amazing spot, make sure you stock up on food before coming though! closest food spot is 20 minutes away unless you like wendys. place was amazing, thanks again richard!

We have a big family and needed a place we would all fit in together and a place just to get away from the busy life, and this place hit the spot! We enjoyed the paddle boat and kayak on the water. We fished and blew bubbles, and took a million pictures. We sat on the back porch swing taking in the views. We played cornhole and board games and ate smores. We ate meals together and enjoyed movies on the roku tv's. We loved the sunroom views, and the kids loved the space to play and run. I also really liked that the place wasn't cluttered with unnecessary decor. I have 5 kids, and 3 of them are under 5 years old, so it was nice not to have to worry about breaking stuff. It was amazing. The only issue I ran into was that i could not figure out how to turn on the oven, but I messaged the host and he got back to me within seconds. He was very helpful and kind. He even offered to help us with the boat if we needed it. We had a wonderful time and will be staying again in the future.

Traveled with my husband, teenage daughter and our puppy. Pet friendly! Super clean and fresh! Hot tub was an attractive amenity. Host is very responsive and the site is just off of major roads so it is easy to find, yet also quiet. Very central to all the must see sites near Shawnee National Forest. Lots of amenities packed into a small space. Great for a long weekend stay!

If I could give it more the 5 stars, I would! Beautiful, cozy home. Fully stocked kitchen, games, movies, etc. Sheri was so helpful and made us feel appreciated and accommodated. Will definitely be back!

The Canary is a perfect quaint getaway! The view is amazing and basically tells you “it’s time to relax!” We enjoyed fishing Crappies off the dock and relaxing in the hot tub. This little gem fit our family perfect…we will definitely be back! Thank you for providing us a perfect little getaway!!

Billy and Hal’s place is amazing. We had a wonderful day at the pumpkin patch about 40 minutes away. The stay was exactly like the pictures, with the local milk, eggs, and granola being a great added touch. We also checked out St. Nicks, a recommended restaurant. That was also great! We are already talking about booking again as we had a very relaxing time aside from our activities. The screened in porch was perfect to hang out in the mornings drinking coffee and listening to the nature sounds. The bed was comfortable and the no wifi was nice as it forced us to unplug (which was needed) but we still had service so texts and calls went through. Overall 10/10 loved it!
