Castelo Branco District : locations de vacances en bord de mer

If you come for a very quiet, private place. This is the place to be. The 5 starts are totally deserved because it completely fulfilled our wishes. But don’t expect a kitchen where you can cook for a wedding or a big dance floor in the accommodation. It is a place to live outside in nature. The SUP that Joao provided is a big recommendation. Everything is even better from the water. Do note that the neighbours dog can go off so now and then en that sets off all te dogs in de valley and vice versa 🤣. Not much a problem for us and nothing Joao can do much about. When they go really wild I believe the neighbours takes them inside. Joao is always on standby en very helpful. Thank you Joao for sharing the wonderful place.

In the simplest of terms, I’m already reworking all my vacation plans for next year to come back. There’s a magic to this house and this place that is indescribable. João was so helpful and invested in the success of my stay, the food he had prepared and waiting in the fridge was delicious and simplified everything in my planning, the bird song every morning was soul restorative, I could go on and on! I loved the home and the host and cannot wait to come back for a longer stay next time.

Very charming and charismatic. The decoration was peculiar and interesting. The house was as described. Interesting sleeping arrangements, that badge the house fun.

Our stay at the Medronheiro was a dream. It's a perfect little home in a fairy tale location with the little waterfall/creek that feeds into the river just outside your door (we were there after some heavy spring rains, so it was rushing steadily... soothing to watch & listen to). Our kids loved it here. It was their favorite stay in Portugal, I wish we had stayed longer. Constança and Carlos are wonderful hosts. Carlos greeted us upon arrival, showed us around & gave me a tour of the tiny village. Constança was always quick to respond to communication, friendly & helpful. We took a day trip to Coimbra which was about 30-35 minutes away. Excellent place, we'd love to return.

We had a brilliant time at Canto Do Zêzere - the house is really clean, spacious and comfortable, and the lakeside location is absolutely stunning. Boating on the lake was a highlight! We would definitely come back again.

Casinha das relvas foi uma ótima descoberta. No início antes de chegar estávamos um bocadinho receosos por não haver rede, mas lá conseguimos encontrar a casa e ficamos maravilhados. Fomos acolhidos com uns miminhos (em cima da mesa tínhamos uns queijinhos regionais e tostinhas). A casa, estava bem equipada, desde gel de douche, shampoos, kit primeiros socorros, toalhas (quer para banhos , quer para os banhos no jacuzzi) , na churrasqueira tínhamos também carvão e todos os utensílios necessários, e no congelador havia já cubos de gelo prontos para refrescar as nossas bebidas ( o que nem sempre acontece noutras casas) e a terraça com jacuzzi com aquela vista foi a cereja no topo do bolo. O senhorio também foi muito simpático e queríamos desde já aqui agradecer a sua disponibilidade e os seus bons conselhos, assim pudemos provar a famosa broa de bacalhau que estava mencionada no caderno de sugestões da casa e conhecer a praia fluvial da ponte de Fajão. A repetir sem dúvida.

A casa tinha tudo o que precisavamos para uma boa estadia, ficamos 7 dias, o Anfitrião José, sempre muito atencioso, deixou na casa vários roteiros turisticos da regiao, dicas de restaurantes, museus, trilhas etc., deixou também uns mimos de boas vindas. Foi uma estadia tranquila, a vizinhança é muito simpática e receptiva, a vila tem acesso fácil para outras cidades da região, inclusive da Serra da Estrela. Nos recomendamos, principalmente aos amantes de trilhas.
