We had such a fun weekend spent with family in this fun barndominium! The hosts have taken so much time and effort into ensuring a high level of amenities were available throughout our stay. So much thought and detail has gone in to ensure the guests’ comfort, especially for families with young kids. Our youngest kids enjoyed the play area in the garage space and romping through the creek in the backyard, while the big kids (/adults) enjoyed the outdoor games, large TVs and bar area. Separate garage/play space allowed for the late-night group to keep hanging out while others went inside to sleep. There was plenty of space to cook and enjoy meals together. There was something for all ages. We would recommend this space to anyone looking for a fun getaway!

Review for The Muir Valley Overlook House, Campton, KY I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Muir Valley Overlook house, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! Nestled in a beautifully serene setting, this spacious and impeccably clean house provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. One of the highlights of my stay was the fabulous hot tub, which was nothing short of a blissful retreat after a day of hiking adventures in the breathtaking surroundings. There’s something incredibly relaxing about soaking in a hot tub under the stars, and this one did not disappoint. The expansive living space was perfect for unwinding and enjoying some downtime. An unexpected bonus was the selection of video games, which added an extra layer of fun to our evenings. Whether you’re traveling with family or friends, this house is equipped to keep everyone entertained. Thank you Breck and Linda! 🙂

Don’t question it, just book it! As my teen and tween daughters say, this place is “so aesthetic!” The kitchen has everything you can imagine, the linens and pillow choices are great, the outdoor spaces are thoughtfully decorated. We absolutely loved our stay. I would just caution families with younger kids (aged 4 and under) to take a look at the stairs to make sure they would be good with those.

The home is beautiful, everything was clean. It is a peaceful, private getaway. We loved the hot tub after hiking in the red river gorge. It was easy to get places. And Margo is a great host, she always quickly answered questions and went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome.

This place was fantastic. It’s in such a beautiful setting - the views are amazing and it is quiet and peaceful. The cabin was so clean and well set up. This was one of the cleanest airbnbs I have stayed in. The kitchen was spotless and even had a keurig, a drip coffeemaker, and an air fryer. The hot tub was clean and is positioned so you can see the amazing views from the hot tub. Loved our time here and hope to come back! It’s a great base camp to take in a lot of what the Red River Gorge has to offer.

This is perfect for a solo getaway; I could live in this cabin! I’m sure it’s different when the leaves are in, but you are a bit close to neighbors (for not being in town). I also recommend AWD at minimum—no low clearance cars or you’ll be sad! The place was great when I checked in, only the hot tub was of issue. Tristan was quick to respond and had someone out the next day. I was unable to use it for my first 2 days which was a bummer, but the issue was at least addressed. The hosts were gracious and welcoming; I’ll be back!

The cabin was super cute and cozy inside. It was well stocked with amenities you might forget and lots of cozy blankets! We brought a griddle and were easily able to make all our meals at the cabin. The hot tub, grill and fire pit were great additions and in great working order. The only downfall if I were to pick one is the shower and shower head was a little hard to use. Other than that everything was great and well stocked!

We loved our stay at Leah's cabin. It was a rainy weekend which made the cabin all the more cozy. We took advantage of the indoor fireplace and enjoyed meals at the large dining table after cooking on the grill outside. The backyard firepit was also lovely to sit around in the evening and the hot tub was great- very clean and in good condition. The cabin was well stocked with all the amenities one might need for a weekend away. I look forward to returning! Leah also went above and beyond communicating with us throughout the weekend given the inclement weather. She was incredibly reaponsive to any and all questions we had.

Beautiful surroundings, comfortable cabin, and Dennis was extremely helpful and had great communication and prompt responses.

We had a wonderful spring break getaway with our kids and friends. The house was very clean and cozy. The board games and arcade game kept the kids entertained for hours. We all really enjoyed the hot tub after a few chilly hikes. The house was a reasonable distance from all our favorites in the area like Nada Tunnel, La Cabana, Miguel's Pizza, Gorge Underground, and of course several hiking locations. The host was very helpful and quick to respond. We would love to stay again next time we are in the area.

Beautiful views. Secluded location. You do need AWD to get back there but not a problem for us. The views from the back deck were worth it. Sunrise on the left, sunset on the right. Lots of stars on a clear night. We enjoyed the brief visit from the two neighborly goats. The cabin is not far from the sky lift. Grocery and restaurants were a short drive away. Good WiFi and no power issues. We had a relaxing time and I got some work done too, even though the view was distracting!

This mountain hideaway was great. It was clean, convenient, and comfortable. The attention to little details is what will bring us back. First, the kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Next, the coffee situation. When a description says that there is a coffee pot available, it's difficult to decide whether to bring pods or grounds. Yi took the guess work out of it and provided the pot, the filters, and a selection of prepackaged coffees. Next, TVs (with streaming apps!) in the bedrooms. The perfect way to wind down after a day of hiking. The hot tub was fabulous. An even better way to relax after hiking! My personal favorite - hooks! I really appreciate lots of places to hang the coats, hats, backpacks... Finally, the location is perfect. Minutes from the natural Bridge State Park in one direction and the Nada Tunnel in the other. We also discovered a new restaurant - The Toad - best sliders and fries I ever had! Overall, a great place to enjoy the Red River Gorge area.

Very nice cabin with a hot tub. My recommendation would be to anyone checking in to make sure they use Google maps Apple was not working well once you map to the place that will get you in the right area once you pass some really big beautiful boulders on the right you go down a little gravel road, kinda to the left after the boulders then, after that, the cabin is like the second on the left so just look for the sign.
