We loved our stay and would have stayed more nights if we weren’t on the move checking out colleges. We had more than enough space. It was very clean and had everything we needed. It was great for the dog with the backyard and nearby walking trail.

Thank you for an amazing stay, Marc! Your home is amazing, and it was the perfect weekend getaway to celebrate our son’s 21st birthday. We had plenty of space for everyone and especially enjoyed hanging out on the upper level of the dock. We will definitely be back!

Stephen's house was exactly what my family needed for a relaxing long weekend to be together. The house suited our needs extremely well with so many places to gather but also comfy spaces to curl up and read or take a nap. The deck overlooked the beautiful yard and view of the water with plenty of seating for all of us. The sunroom was enjoyable from morning til late at night, listening to the owls. The kitchen was well stocked and large enough for multiple cooks. My adult children enjoyed kayaking several times, especially since the house is tucked away from the main part of the lake, so we had very little water traffic. We only ventured out once to visit some wineries and pick up a pizza, preferring to just stay and enjoy the setting, although there was information about things to do in the area. This was our first of hopefully many visits to SML and I don't think we'll bother to search for a different house. We're already talking about our next time there!

Betsy’s house on Smith Mountain Lake is wonderful. From the driveway it looks like a jiggly small cottage. You go inside and wow! What a surprise! 6 bedrooms on two floors, a screened in porch, a deck and wonderful dock and boathouse. We enjoyed ourselves so much here.

The cabin was just what my husband and I needed for a Valentine’s Day weekend getaway! From the moment we got there, the feelings of rest, relaxation, and restoration were there from the comfy reclining chairs in the living room next to the gas fireplace to the king size master bed with a walk-in dual waterfall shower to the hot tub with privacy screens! Deborah was very attentive and quick to respond to any needs, and she gave many great recommendations! Enjoy brunch at Old Oak Cafe before exploring the Booker T Washington National Monument or shopping at Mama Ann’s Gifts & Goodies! Enjoy delicious ice cream at Homestead Creamery or take a quick drive over to Roanoke to see the Roanoke Star, Optimus Prime Statue, and Mini Graceland while enjoying ice cream from Blue Cow Ice Cream! Even though the house is right off the road, it’s located down a back road that’s very quiet, so you never heard any traffic noise. Thanks for making our trip so wonderful, Ms. Deborah!

The house is beautifully decorated, the river was amazing, and all the fish were hiding. The weather took a turn for the worse. It was cold and it was blowing snow. However, the house was warm a cozy. Great place to relax.

Not one to write reviews, but this one deserved it! Erich and Samantha were amazing! Super flex on arrival communication and check out was a breeze. We needed special time reqs due to unknown scheduling, and they were overly accommodating! Place was well equipped, and clean. Town is a lost gem, and would love to book again if we ever return to this area!

We had a very nice stay at the Sunflower Suite. Patricia and Gene's place is super comfortable, quiet, and spotless. We felt right at home. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was hot and had great water pressure. We enjoyed the gas fireplace in the morning. We would happily stay here again.

The mill was a perfect place for us. We love history and the setting was beautiful. For such an old structure we found it to be warm,cozy, beautiful and very comfortable. The floor to ceiling windows were wonderful. We enjoyed taking our E bikes out even at 43*! Very scenic and little to no traffic on the road. Such a gem! Many thanks to the hosts for creating a lovely getaway and sharing it with the rest of us!

We were lucky to book this fabulous, huge space. The entire space was charming and comfortable. We loved the cozy chairs in front of the fireplace. Philip was a great host, very quick to respond and helpful. 100/10 highly recommend.

Thank you for a lovely and peaceful stay! The place and atmosphere is beautiful and serene. We especially loved the amazing out of this world dream shower!! The shower alone was worth the stay. I mean you gotta see this amazing spa like shower. Also the host was very kind and attentive and genuine. As far as I'm concerned this is a "must stay" if traveling thru the area. Thanks guys.

If you’re looking for a quiet place with a pieceful surrounding you can’t go wrong with Dannie’s place. Hope to return in the future with my family.

The place was very nice, about 20 minutes from the VT campus and allows for quiet.

We loved our stay! It was our first experience renting a room in a private home, and it was a pleasant surprise. We felt extremely comfortable, and all our needs were met. There were many additional touches that made our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend it!

We went for a football game and the room was just what we needed! Very comfortable and the space is walkable to many places. Christine was great at communication and we’d love to stay there again for another hokie event!
