What a blast! This is the second time I've facilitated a group trip to Kristie's place for a weekend of pickleball, food, and laughter. I'm already planning the next one! The house and other buildings are well-equipped and well-kept and provided everything we needed to fully enjoy our time together, including a gorgeous view of the lake from the dining table we gathered around. Absolutely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again at this location in the future! The location is perfect, with convenient lake access and access to other nearby activities. The house is pristine & gives both vacation and homey vibes. Marsiela was responsive and easy to work with. I can't recommend highly enough and would definitely stay again in the future!

Stayed here overnight while in town for an athletic event. Check- in was easy, everything was exactly as advertised. Everything is provided- even snacks on the coffee bar. Crystal was super responsive to any texts getting back to me very quickly and was very friendly . Definitely would stay here again!

Had a wonderful time with the family, Tammy was a great host! Very responsive and communicative. Definitely a better fit for older kids (the hills 🤣), but Tammy had ALL the essentials for babies to be accommodated and right at home! And the littles loved fishing too. It was an excellent spring break for us!

Amanda’s Airbnb was clean, well decorated, clutter free, and spacious! Amanda was a great host and allowed us to check in early so we could set up our kids’ stuff and change before heading to a wedding. The house also included a toddler bed and a toddler size table and chairs, which were a huge bonus for us since we had two toddlers and a newborn. Thanks for the great stay!

We had a great time staying at Dwayne’s place! Beautiful views of the lake in the evenings and plenty of golf courses within a 30 minute radius. Will definitely be back!

Josh was a great host who communicated quickly after the property was booked and leading up to our stay. He also checked in with us while we were there to make sure all was good. The house was beautiful with a great open concept family room/kitchen that provided a perfect space to hang out with family and friends. The house was conveniently well stocked with all basic needs and was right across the street from a community center with a gym and sizable indoor pool. Overall a great stay and would happily return for a future getaway!

Excellent location for our activities. Visited the National D Day monument along with the Bedford visitor center. The DDay monument is highly recommended

Aaron is an extremely responsive and helpful host. The home is well-appointed with technology/wifi, apple tv, extremely functional kitchen and a stocked coffee station! Wonderful stay visiting our 3 children who are students a Va Tech/Vet School.

Thank you, Richard, for a WONDERFUL stay at your cottage. We came to Blacksburg so that our dog could have her surgery at Tech and Richard's cottage location couldn't have been more perfect. We laughed to each other when we discovered everything we needed was 7 minutes away or less. The bed was so comfortable and the entire house was spotless. Since we needed to stay for a few days this really felt like a great landing spot for us, a home away from home. We had to make many trips to the small animal hospital and were grateful that it was such an easy back-and-forth from the house. Richard was extremely communicative, kind, and responsive. Check-in/check-out was easy. Nice that parking was right next to the house. Next time we come back we'd love to use the fire pit (just too busy this time around). This will be our spot when we come back to Blacksburg -- if it's not already booked. Thank you so much, Richard!

Dannie and Nancy are amazing people! They made our short stay so amazing and felt more like being at an amazing family lake house than a rental. The lake house is a little piece of heaven. I'm a disabled Veteran that struggles with ptsd and anxiety and being here was so good for my mind heart and soul. Me and my wife loved it and loved meeting Dannie and Nancy in person! we are already planning trips back and can't wait. we thank Dannie and Nancy so much and highly recommend staying at their place!

Great stay for our family's trip back down to Blacksburg! The place was exactly what we hoped for. We would recommend and will have it on our list for when we look to come back down again.

This was our second stay at Kate's beautiful home and we are already planning a third. Quiet and peaceful with absolutely beautiful views of the cove and lake beyond. The house is sparkling clean and well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Even though the weather didn't cooperate we found plenty to do to keep ourselves entertained.

Very cute and cozy room with everything we needed! Very clean and new feeling. Super comfy bed, plenty of clean towels. Nice peaceful spot on the river, ate breakfast outside at the table and listened to the birds. Thank you!

Conny's home was well stocked with all of the essentials. It was the best of all of the rental homes that we have rented. His home worked very well for the 6 of us, 3 adults and 3 children. Two of the children play ice hockey and it was just minutes away from both ice rinks. The location worked well for us, (grocery stores, restaurants, mall, theater, etc.), was so close by. Conny's home is at the top of our list. Conny responded quickly when we had any questions. We would defintely enjoy staying here again.

We didn’t spend much time at the home due to being in town for a funeral but the home is beautiful! Very peaceful and quiet. The owner was responsive. It is a bit of a hike down to the dock, but it is beautiful, I would love to see it in the summer time. The hike back up to the house is rough, thankfully there are several places stop and catch your breath.

Another great stay at The Nest. We have been back to this location several times in the last several years. It is extremely close to our family that we can visit them every time we go down! We also are close to the town of Gap Mills and Union in which we visit each time. I can not express enough how amazing The Nest is and how friendly Thomas is when we plan our trips! 10/10 would recommend and 1000% will be staying here again and for the foreseeable future for our trips down!

The place was beautiful and quiet. It was so nice. We enjoyed the house very much and Bill kept updated on everything and anything we needed. We truly enjoyed the quiet and tranquil atmosphere.

Our family gathered there in the Forest/Lynchburg area for Thanksgiving this year. We found this property to be entirely suitable for our use in this way. The house is laid out well and we were able to enjoy our time together. Scott was very accommodating on anything that we needed and responsive when we had any questions. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely consider staying in this property again if we needed to gather in that area. Highly recommend this property to others whose group sizes are compatible with the house. Thanks so much for making us feel at home and for accommodating us while we were here.

This was the perfect weekend getaway! The house is beautiful - the charm of an older house with all the modern amenities. The house was spotlessly clean, beds comfy, and kitchen well stocked. The views from the house were stunning 360 degrees around. I can’t imagine a more beautiful setting. Hosts were friendly and helpful. We plan to come back next year!

So Beautiful! So Peaceful! We enjoyed every second in this beautiful home, on a serene lake, surrounded by nature and love. Rachael was an amazing host. We were coming to town for a vow renewal ceremony. Rachael was responsive and super helpful when it came to logistics and flexible with the check-in, so we could get to the ceremony on time. The home was lovely and pristine! It had everything we needed to cook and have fun. The 2 decks and dock framed the lake beautifully. The kayaks were a big hit and all the board games kept us entertained. We loved our time in the home and on the lake! We would definitely book again!

We have stayed here a couple of times now and it never disappoints! Thanks again!

Our stay was great! House was greatly maintained and the location was absolutely perfect for our trip. Jessica even stopped by to say hi which was cool to meet your host. Would recommend this stay to anyone 10/10.

Susan was an EXCELLENT host. From the moment we walked in, you could tell that Susan was proud of her childhood home. The history of the house was very interesting. Breeds and linens were so comfy. Susan was friendly and even took a picture of us in between taking care of her garden. Her attention to detail and cleanliness of her place made our experience perfect. We were on a road trip and only stayed one night but I wish we could have stayed longer. Being away from the city and the fresh country air was very relaxing. Susan’s place is A+!
