Folly Guest House was a wonderful home away from home! Martha, the owner met us at the house and showed us around. She provided a few drinks to get us started as well as other basic necessities for the week. The home was clean and well stocked to get guests started with their vacation. The location was perfect…about mid-way down the island making it easily a accessible to both the northern and southern ends of the island. There were multiple restaurants within walking distance as well as 2 grocery stores. Multiple beaches were within a 10-15 min drive. The view from the home was also AMAZING! The only thing was that the home was advertised as having a washer but there was not one in the home. This was not an issue for us but something to note for others.

Very nice house with lots of space (we were 2 adults and 4 kids). We loved the 2 living rooms and the big dining room! You can watch the beautiful sunsets from the patio or chill in the backyard. We brought frozen meat and made lots of BBQs. That helped us with the food during the few power outages. The host was very helpful with tips. There are awesome and lonely beaches within 15min drive. There are nice restaurants in the town, try them all! Supermarket and gas station is right around the corner and you can get fresh bread from the bakery (5min walk) or muffins and espresso (1min walk) in the morning.

Lovely place, felt right at home. Host was very communicative and friendly. It was well equipped with a washer & dryer and cooking utensils etc. I will definitely stay again 🙂

We absolutely loved our stay at Causarina Bay. The sound of and view of the ocean as you go to sleep and wake up is unbeatable. We went with our 3 boys (8, 6 and 3). The beach was so much fun to explore. Our first few days the winds/waves were up, but by the end we had quite calm water for the Atlantic. The beach had nice soft sand right in front of the house, but you could walk to an area with tide pools that were also interesting and beautiful. We took advantage of having a car and also explored other beaches each day. We can say Eleuthera has some of the best beaches in the world (we’re able to compare to Maldives, Tahiti, Bora Bora, St. Lucia, Florida). We highly recommend 4 wheel drive as the road to the house is quite rough. We did get quite a few sand fly bites despite bug spray. The house has a rustic charm that blends in with the environment quite well. It’s not the house for you if looking for a Ritz Carlton experience, but it had everything we needed to have one of our best family vacations ever.

Amazing location for privacy and serenity! Lisa was amazing to deal with from the beginning. We went with her recommendations even with rental car and boat charter. The bay where the house is, feels like you are totally on your own in this beautiful setting. Both of our kids were in the water most of the day. It was like having a huge pool of your own. Mosquito situation is a little crazy once sun comes down but it is everywhere on the island. House was fully stocked and very comfortable.

Our family of five with three teenagers had an amazing stay at this house. The place was exceptionally clean, modern, and well equipped for a week-long vacation. The kitchen had anything you could want to cook on your own. There were games and puzzles for evening fun. The bathrooms and bedrooms were well stocked. The beach equipment (chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, etc) were especially appreciated. The location was very convenient just a short drive to Governors Harbor (restaurants, grocery stores, Friday fish fry) and dozens of world-class beaches within an easy drive. Terri, our host, was exceptional. She provided some great local recommendations and even helped arrange for groceries on our arrival. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at Belmont Estate. My husband and I stayed in the Junior Suite. My sister-in-law, husband, dog, and 2 kids stayed in main house. And my parents-in-law stayed in the cottage. It was the perfect set up. The house and both cottages were more updated than I expected and in great condition for island houses. House manager, Patrick, made sure everything was perfect. House was soooo clean! Mattresses were all very comfortable. Great kitchen. Bathrooms are all big and really nice. The yard is huge and gorgeous and impeccably maintained. Having a pool is fantastic, especially with kids. Sunset from the upstairs balcony is the best view on the island. House and cottages are all equipped with beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels and coolers. We walked to The Buccaneer for dinner a couple nights. French Leave Beach is one of the best on the island and a 3 minute drive from the house. We loved it and will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We checked in early and when we arrived the house was just lovely. Dom met us there and gave us a wonderful tour of the house and area. Both he and Joy were so helpful weeks before we arrived and during our stay. We had one minor issue and Dom immediately sent a plumber to fix things up. I can’t say enough about these wonderful hosts and this lovely property. We will be back !!

We absolutely loved our stay! The rooftop sunrise viewing deck was a dreamy place to have coffee (don’t forget the bug spray), the neighborhood cats and pups were welcome visitors since our furry children weren’t with us, and the use of a golf cart to get to French Leave beach was a treat (and what an incredible beach it is). My only note would be make sure to put all items in the house at night as we had a water shoe go missing halfway through our trip, which made some of our excursions more difficult. The house has everything you could possibly need to cook, entertain, unwind, and relax! Thank you Joy & Dom for a fabulous vacation!

This house absolutely exceeded our expectations. The house, pool and property were beautiful and perfectly maintained. The furnishings were comfortable, the linens/curtains/towels, etc were all high quality, contributing to a luxurious and very cozy feel. We remarked several times that a lot of thought obviously went into furnishing and decorating the home because it had everything we needed and more. The swing on the front porch, chalkboard and games kept my son happy and occupied. We lost power one day due to a downed power line and the generator kicked on immediately. Internet was great and the smart tvs were a really nice touch. Check in was easy and check out was a breeze - no crazy requirements. The most miraculous thing was that there was not one speck of sand in the house, which is near impossible in a beach community! Joy and Dom were responsive, pleasant and had lots of local recommendations. I can’t say enough good things about this experience and we hope to be back soon!

This was our first time on the island and this was the perfect retreat for our family. The space is luxuriously appointed and feels like home with board games, TV, fully stocked kitchen (spices, coffee, cooking essentials). The neighborhood is quiet and about a 5 minute drive to the beach and about a 8 minute drive to Governor’s Harbor where there’s some food and gift shops. We would certainly stay here again in the future.

Our group of 4 spent a week at Coconut Point in December of 2022. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The house was clean and well stocked with a wide amount of amenities from the kitchen to the linens to items for outdoor use. The location is remote and peaceful with a great beach for walking. One note, if you are hoping to work remotely, the internet was hit and miss, and pretty slow when working. But it's Eleuthera, best to not work at all! Cheers

Our family of four had an incredible stay at Sweetcorn House! The house is spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of room for everyone to relax. The kitchen and entire home were well-stocked with everything we needed throughout our stay. The beach is just a quick 5-minute drive away, and we especially appreciated the beach chairs and umbrellas that were provided! Joy and Dom were thoughtful hosts who sent helpful recommendations via email before our arrival, and the detailed binder in the house had great local tips for restaurants, activities, and hidden gems. It was our first time visiting Eleuthera, and Sweetcorn House made it a memorable experience. The house truly had everything we could have hoped for in a vacation rental. Thank you Joy and Dom for your wonderful hospitality!

Tranquility was a home away from home. The only concern was the internet was in and out on the island, something beyond anyone control. But the place was beautiful and clean. Thanks again for your hospitality.

The place is more than beautiful. The property is located on a beachfront lot. The beach itself is really serene, we’ve seen only 3 people on it over the 4 days we’be passed there…. And it was Christmas… The villa is spacious for our party of two and could ideally accomodate a family. You’ll have every accessories you need to spend 2-3 weeks vacation there. We wish we’d book for longer but decided to visit a couple of Bahamian islands on our 10 day visit. There are lots of good restaurants nearby but a car is really a must if you want to reabh them easily. We liked afternoon munches at Potlatch Club, dinners at Bougainvillea and, of course, relax snacks at Tippy’s. Barbara is a great host and did everything she could to accomodate our (belated by the airline company) arrival and departure. Her manager, Winifred, is also really pleasant to deal with and efficent. I definetly would go again and recommend the place.

This was our first visit to the Bahamas (wife and I) , and as such we didn't know what to expect. On the spectrum of "Disney Land tourist trap" on the one end, and "Secluded, serene escape from reality" on the other, both the Island of Eleuthera and Marco's Place in particular fall firmly on the side of the latter. Both the broader island and this property exude a rustic and simple elegance and beauty. The property is spacious (numerous bedrooms and common spaces) making it an ideal group destination. The home is located on an expansive bluff with access to a limitless stretch of sandy beach below, and offers a panoramic view of the ocean and an endless parade of white-capped waves (among the most beautiful we've experienced). This is a place where one wakes up early for the simple joy of watching the sun rise while sipping coffee and contemplating the meaning of life from the elevated vantage point of the pool deck.

The cottage felt like home right away. The beautiful beach is about a 5-6 minute walk. The village offers a variety of restaurants and super markets. Sarah is a kind and very responsive host. Eleuthera is definitely worth a visit and we would recommend booking Sarah’s place!
