Jay was a great host. Since I was a new profile, we went through a vetting process, including sharing my LinkedIn profile, but after that, everything went smoothly. The property is beautiful, with a lot of personality, especially when you look down into the kitchen from the main family room. The kitchen is well-equipped with utensils, cutlery, cookware, and spices for meals, and has a fantastic stove. Some dials were finicky, and the middle grill burner wasn’t working, but we still made it work. The hot tub was perfect for the cold weather, and we appreciated the pool towels provided. We also enjoyed the Christmas decorations upon arrival. Overall, we loved our stay—the place had so much charm. On a final note, we’d definitely visit again. If the mattresses were replaced with higher-quality ones, something more comfortable, it would elevate the experience.

I udually write reviews on the host instead of the place first. But the place deserves it first. My goodness. The detail of this garage is amazing. If it was all your design Scott. Kudos to you my friend. What a great imagination you have. And the skill to bring it to life. My three friends wanted to get a night away from all responsibilities(aka wife and kids 😉) and relax. I don’t know how much sleeping we did. There was so much entertainment. It was even better than the pictures. And instructions for every. Only one thing. There was no instructions for the hot tub. I also didn’t have my glasses. So maybe I didn’t see them? Everything else in the house that needed instructions had them. Which is part of the details that went in building an awesome place like this. My three friends and I are tradesmen. All we talked about was making a place like this for our children. Scott was also amazing. He left us alone. Even though we made noise. Thank you for that Scott. We are also sorry.

Our family of five had a wonderful stay. Very clean and comfortable old stone farmhouse but with modern finishing and amenities. My kids particularly loved the hot tub and we had fun tootling around the local town. Only minutes away from Picton and Bloomfield among others so very convenient location.

The house is spacious and so are the rooms. The kitchen had everything beautifully equipped. We enjoyed our stay, even though during the winter there’s not much to do in the area. The only downside was the rooms in the basement didn’t have any heater working, we used the fireplace in the basement on high to warm the rooms as much as possible. As we were two families with kids, we would have liked to have at least a hand vacuum available and not just a broom as it’s a big space and would have made it easier to clean while around. The bed pillows need changing as they were very uncomfortable to sleep on. But all in all a beautiful house, just needs a little touch up to add its spark back.

We had a busy time with two family events and really enjoyed returning to the house to relax and enjoy your amazing back yard. It is truly a peaceful oasis! The children loved the pool and the adults all welcomed the evening hot tub. The flower gardens and pots are stunning. Thanks also for the lovely welcome gifts. We were very spoiled! We’re 4 moms that needed a break from the everyday and this house was perfect. A bedroom for each of us, lots of space to spread out, walking distance to town. We had such a great time. Thank you Marianne for such a lovely stay.

My stay was comfortable and relaxing! I love this house it’s so unique and fun. My son and I loved it. We found it feels sort of like a fort which we loved. The host is so relaxed and go with the flow it was so refreshing!!! Hanna and Muzafar are great hosts. My girlfriends and I were visiting the Wander Spa during the day and stayed at the house for one night. We felt very cozy, the big table was perfect for group breakfast and board games. Very clean, quiet, and lots of parking. We walked 10 minutes to the main street to Midtown Brewery for our evening meal.

This is our second visit and it won't be our last. This is a wonderful place - it's quiet, comfortable, with great amenities and a terrific back yard. The location made it easy to take day trips around the county. We highly recommend it!

The rental place is clean and well organized. Nina is quick to respond. Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place in the area.

Amazing place! Salina is a great host

If you’re looking to recharge and reconnect this is an amazing place to stay. Internet availability but free of TV and in a quiet, private lot in Prince Edward county, close to the main city so easy to pick up any needed supplies and very close to a distillery and brewery. The host is very responsive and the unit is as advertised. We had a wonderful stay and would consider coming back and recommending to others.

The Welsh House is a wonderful place to stay in Picton. Its location is just steps to Main St and manages to be both peaceful and extremely walkable to much of town. Jane is a gracious host: responsive, thoughtful, kind and this is apparent through each communication, recommendation and even in details throughout her lovely heritage home. Our family stayed last minute on a long weekend and the way Jane treated us, you would have thought we had booked well in advance. It was a very nice trip and a huge part of that was because of The Welsh House. Thank you, Jane!

For our curling team and coach and meal planners Walter’s place was perfect. The bed arrangements were just as described and everything we needed was at the house. Walter always answered us when we needed something and was very fast to always respond. Would definitely stay here again for our next event.

Our stay at Ponle's was great! Would stay again and would highly recommend! The only downside is not having access to a washer and dryer for those longer stays but there was a very clean laundry mat about 4 min away.

Perfect Executive Cottage with Waterfront Access! We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home. The house is spacious and luxurious, with an open-concept layout and amazing high ceilings in the living room that made it feel even more grand and inviting. It was the perfect blend of an upscale executive retreat and a cozy waterfront cottage. The entire place was impeccably clean, with all the amenities we could ask for—everything from a fully equipped kitchen to comfortable beds and plenty of space for our group to relax and unwind. The host was extremely thoughtful and accommodating, allowing us full access to all the amenities, which made our stay even more enjoyable. They were also very responsive, providing toys for the kids and anything else we requested, making sure we had everything we needed. I can't recommend this property enough! Whether you're looking for a place to work remotely or simply want a relaxing weekend getaway, this home offers the best of both worlds!

Dana and Eric were so friendly and helpful! Their description didn’t hire do the place justice- it’s so charmingly decorated and also ideally located in a walkable neighborhood, minutes from 2 malls and restaurants as well as within 5-10 minutes from multiple hockey rinks. I had a wonderful long weekend here. The environment is fantastic, and my friend and I felt very comfortable staying in the house for two days. Even though we encountered a snowstorm, we were able to relax comfortably in the house. I highly recommend the hot tub; it was amazing to enjoy the snowy scenery while sipping on a warm drink. Most importantly, the host was very thoughtful and responsible. Not only did they treat us to a bottle of white wine, but they also promptly fixed the hot tub the next day when it wasn't heating up properly. I feel that booking this house was excellent value for the money!"
