Christel’s secluded cabin in the mountains, only a short drive from Oudtshoorn, is absolutely superb. It feels like you are the only people for miles around and it is perfectly positioned to take advantage of the breathtaking view and natural beauty of the area. Christel’s instructions on arrival were precise and easy to follow, the cabin is kitted out with all the items necessary for a comfortable and relaxing stay and there is not a soul around to disturb you. No electricity and no WiFi and limited signal make this the perfect getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The amenities cover everything and the added touches like a bottle of wine, a loaf of bread, eggs, bacon and milk in the fridge (and a small cooler box of ice!) made us feel very welcome indeed. The dirt road leading up to the cabin may require something bigger than a hatchback to get to. I highly recommend this place if you want to disconnect and recharge. Thank you Christel!

Wat een prachtige accomodatie. Rust, privé en een schitterend uitzicht. Een zeer luxe ingerichte cottage. Heerlijke bedden en lakens en handdoeken. Hottub erbij. Een gastvrije en goede host. De beste accommodatie van onze rondreis door Zuid-Afrika.

We loved the unique setting, from the rural location, the suspension bridge, meeting the local donkeys to entering the stunning property raised up level with the trees. The views were stunning from every window, the area was peaceful and relaxing, everything we needed was available. An added bonus was meeting Peters lovely dog Shadow and a neighbours dog Chunky, both were very polite and friendly. Saying hello to 5 local donkeys was another lovely feature of our stay. A truly relaxing experience.

Our stay at Zelma's cute cottage in Calitzdorp was just what we needed to decompress and enjoy the nature that surrounded us. We had our kids with us - and they had a blast adventuring around, and we even got to meet their resident tortoise. We felt rejuvenated after our long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the R62 drive home - which was spectacular. Be sure to stop off in Barrydale and Montague on the way home. Zelma, our host, was an absolute joy, and her adorable labrador, Fifi, made sure to come say hello daily. A wonderful stay! Thank you Zelma!

Great minimalist stay from JHB to Cape Town or Vice Versa. Has all you need for a stopover and in a peaceful area of Beaufort West. Good value for money.

Simon & Toby's place was lovely and cool despite the heat. The Aircon in the bedroom was a great plus. The cottage is in a lovely quiet area and is very private. We loved the outdoor shower! Co-host Lorna referred us to a sweet cottage in Die Hel (Gamkaskloof) which was worth the trip despite knowing that the road is quite rough - your vehicle needs high clearance!

Diese Unterkunft ist ein Traum! Es ist so so schön und mit Liebe eingerichtet. Man möchte die Unterkunft am liebsten gar nicht verlassen. Habe mich selten direkt in einen Ort verliebt wie hier ❤️ Nur zu empfehlen!

The accommodation is in a very quiet and private place and only surrounded by nature. The view is amazing. We can recommend! Thank you Gert for being a great host!
