Our stay at this cabin in the North Carolina mountains exceeded all expectations. It offered the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation, with plenty of outdoor activities and a comfortable, peaceful place to retreat to at the end of the day. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a solo retreat to reconnect with nature, this cabin is an excellent choice. I can’t wait to return! My fiancé and I stayed in Red Bud with our little dog for 6 nights and loved it so much! The view was incredible and we enjoyed how quiet our surroundings were. Having a cup of coffee on the porch every morning was like a dream. The cabin was clean and very well stocked. We were surprised because it had everything we needed plus more! Most cabins are bare bones but not this. Also if you are someone in need of internet, the internet was perfect and gave us no trouble. We also arrived at night and it was of course very dark, I messaged Rich to help us get to the cabin and he called me and stayed on the phone with us until we were there, which was super appreciated. As far as activity recommendations, the immediate area is pretty remote, but we drove one day (about 40 mins maybe?) to Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory (short but very pretty hike!) and then went to the Cheese ‘n More Store for a sandwich after. The perfect day trip! Both are worth the drive/visit. We will be back!

We had an absolutely wonderful night at The Toasted Marshmallow! The location is a perfect stop halfway between Cleveland and Hilton Head for a peaceful night. We enjoyed the novelty of staying in a monolithic dome home. Landon has done a wonderful job decorating the space and it had everything we needed for an overnight-- we would have loved to stay longer! The space is so unique and well laid-out for our family of four. We were able to prepare both dinner and breakfast without any trouble. There were lots of kitchen staples available! I do wish there were more than 4 plates. It was thoughtful that s'mores fixins were waiting for us. We very much enjoyed the firepit. The party lights and Adirondack chairs made our entire evening really sweet! The linens on the beds were crisp and comfy and the beds were very nice. The property is beautiful and the birds and babbling brook make it a true respite sound bath. Thank you for sharing this great property!

We stayed 5 nights at Michelle’s cabin and had a wonderful time! The beds are extremely comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the whole place is very cozy. We especially enjoyed the gas fireplace and sitting out on the front porch. The cabin is very convenient to Mount Airy and other attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway. Definitely would love to stay again and would recommend to anyone visiting the area!

The Mother Earth yurt was even better than the pictures and description! From the time we drove into the property to when we walked through the door, it was a welcoming, calming, and beautiful experience. Everything was in fabulous condition from full size luxurious bathtub, hot tub, to the rustic wooden shelves. The amenities and attention to detail like having books and DVDs to a bag of ice in the fridge and clear instructions and local recommendations made our stay even more enjoyable. My family had the best time and are already wanting to come back. A day was not enough to experience all the goodness this property has to offer!

Stunning location. Beautiful home and surrounded land. I made a friend with the horse next door! Sparta is extremely close!

The buckeye at Misty Glen was an incredible hideaway. I was so inspired by the views I wrote a brand new song "Give me a Sign" in the spacious main room overlooking the trees and the mountains. Coming from the DC suburbs, just sitting on the porch and hearing nothing accept the wind through the trees is a blessing. I came in super late and they were accommodating and then to find much needed coffee making fixings in the morning felt like they knew me. My only knock is that my time was too programmed with activities and I didn't get to enjoy the fire place, fire pit, or hot tub! Next time!
