Stayed for 2 days, Mr. Kish was very friendly person and responses were very quick from his side, and Care taker Ramesh is super proactive, very nice guy and supportive, our checkin and checkout went very smoothly, place is extremely nice and very calm, peaceful and private. Very nice place for family get together parties and for friends and any kind of events. Very big bungalow and nice greenery around. Overall our stay at retreat was super awesome. Thanks to host Kish and care taker Ramesh .

A Home Away from Home in Thalassery! We had the pleasure of staying at Leela, a stunning property hosted by the incredible Prasanna Kumari Maam. From the moment we arrived, she welcomed us with warmth and kindness, making us feel like family. The property is beautifully maintained, with every detail thoughtfully considered. We were provided with a thorough tour of the place, ensuring we felt comfortable and at ease. What truly made our stay special was the host’s exceptional hospitality. She treated us to local delicacies, including a traditional dish we couldn't find anywhere else in the city. Her kindness is something that has left a lasting impression. We're so grateful to have found Leela and Prasanna Kumari Maam through Airbnb. We can't wait to return and experience her warm hospitality again. Very remote and un touristic a magical place. The beach house is sandwiched between a seemingly endless golden sand beach 35kms long and the calm of the backwater. Bicycles rides and boat trips recommended. Doc’s sense of intrinsic beauty and craftsmanship is evident in the 4 homes on the island that he has restored with an artists eye for detail. He was very welcoming and helpful with planning and organisation. We also had great conversations. Theyyam rituals are a must. We were lucky to see the dancing with fire. Otherwise my favorite things were evening Kayaking at sunset to the mangroves and early morning swimming & bird watching in the back water. It’s worth also checking the peacock house on the backwater side, it sleeps 4. Thank you, Doc, for creating spaces that are so sensitive to their environment and sharing your little paradise and curry plant 🌱 with us.!

I had a wonderful stay at Kalpana’s stay. The property is even better than the photos and description. It was tastefully decorated and was squeaky clean. It is located in a peaceful area and the views are amazing! There is a coffee plantation just at the back of the house - wonderful to take a walk around. One of the best parts of the stay was the host. Kalpana was an extremely gracious and sweet host, so approachable and was quick to respond to all questions I had. The food prepared by her was absolutely delicious and homely. I had a wonderful time at the stay and would definitely be back with my family and friends! Thanks Kalpana!

Superbly tucked away from hustle and bustle. Extremely peaceful with a great host. Limited or no food options around the place but the food at homestay is awesome. We had five out of six meals and have enjoyed to the core. Aakash, our caretaker is a fabulous guy. Recommended for anyone wanting to unwind and relax

We picked this place because it was right next to the Kodava Samaja, where we were attending a Wedding. Right from the start, Deepika is very proactive- providing us the directions, recommendations and contact after reaching. Even before we reach the place, we already felt the warmth of the hospitality. After getting there, we called uncle and he was out to town but he quickly called Aunty and she showed us the parking place and ushered us towards the place. It is in the first place, the place is squeakingly clean, very well maintained and has everything for a perfect stay. Aunty and uncle helped us with a hot water situation in the next morning quickly and made sure everything is alright. I went with my wife and she loved the place very much. We will definitely revisit again.

Really nice place.. perfect for a getaway with friends.. really spacious, loved the exposed red brick walls of the interiors. Looks exactly like the pictures posted on the listing.. Other amenities pretty good too

Very beautiful cosy place, close to the city centre and the beach. The host, Mus, was extremely helpful and accommodating. Definitely a home in kannur, will visit again!
