Our brief two-night stay at Niharika, The Old Place, in mid-November was a delightful surprise. This 1926 villa, perched above the main town, offers breathtaking views of the rolling Himalayan foothills. Its unique blend of architectural charm and modern comfort creates an unforgettable experience. The villa's high ceilings, smooth concrete floors, and numerous French doors leading to private balconies and terraces exude an air of timeless elegance. The architect’s vision of stylish living is evident in every detail. Our gracious host, Rita, and the attentive caretaker, Praveen, ensured our stay was seamless. From delicious breakfasts and evening meals to prompt assistance, their hospitality was impeccable. Niharika, The Old Place, is more than just accommodation; it's a haven of tranquility and beauty. It's a place where time slows down, and one can truly appreciate the simple pleasures of life.

I stayed at this homestay for three nights, and it was a delightful experience. The view from the balcony is simply breathtaking, and the hospitality of the people here is heartwarming. The food is a standout feature—organic and delicious. However, I did encounter a few minor issues. The common bathroom can be a bit inconvenient, and the charger jack is located quite low on the wall. It would be much more convenient if it were placed beside the bed for easier access. Additionally, there are extra charges for using the kitchen, which I believe should be clearly mentioned in the instructions provided to guests. Despite these small issues, everything else was great. I would highly recommend this homestay for its beautiful views, warm hospitality, and excellent food.

Loved it thoroughly. Greeted with a beautiful ensemble of flowers, birds and furry pets, we felt one with the pristine ambience the moment we stepped into the property. You can adore the view of Kanchenjunga while having your morning tea at the porch. What more can someone want! We cut back on our sightseeing plans just to spend a few more leisurely hours at the property, such is the charm. We stayed for four days and ate heartily. We would come back just to have Aunty cook us Nepali dishes again. Not even once was the breakfast menu repeated. Sanjay is a remarkable gentleman, extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Our stay at Leon’s was incredibly comfortable, thanks to the thoughtful setup of the property. The two-bedroom apartment had everything we needed—a well-equipped kitchen, a smart TV, heaters, and plenty of blankets to keep us warm and cosy. The management went the extra mile by providing milk, tea bags, and a generous selection of snacks. The property manager, Prasan, was always on hand to assist with any minor issues and even gave us a heartfelt farewell with a traditional gesture—presenting each of us with a piece of white silk and incense. Truly touching! The Bhutanese restaurant upstairs, Za Khang, offers a daily buffet of delicious treats, making dining convenient and enjoyable. We were also connected with a local driver, Pankaj, who showed us around and made our stay even more pleasant. We look forward to returning to Kalimpong and will definitely stay at Leon’s again!

I had a fantastic stay at Praveen and Ishita’s Airbnb! From the moment I arrived, they made me feel right at home. The check-in process was smooth, and they were always available to answer any questions I had, making the entire experience stress-free. The apartment itself was beautifully maintained—clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The decor was tasteful, and it had a warm, inviting atmosphere. A thoughtful touch was the welcome hamper they left for me upon arrival, which was a lovely surprise and made me feel extra welcomed. Throughout my stay, Praveen and Ishita went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed I truly appreciated their hospitality and attention to detail. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located, and welcoming place to stay. I’ll definitely be returning the next time I’m in the area! Only superlatives for this stay. Diksha was super kind, and the apartment is brand new, everything is so clean. There was also some ingredients in the kitchen like salt and turmeric, something which matters to me. I’d say the house is actually even better than the description. I felt instantly at home. 20/10 for everything. If you are looking for a safe, comfy place to stay in Siliguri, this is it, because as per my experience, the hotels in Siliguri are bad.

Beautiful property right beside the river. Private, close to nature - perfect for a getaway from the city. The food was great and we would highly recommend the place. Bimal was very helpful with cab drivers and anything else we needed.
