I booked this reservation for my husband and his crew for an out of state job. My husband reported back to me that Jacob’s place was very clean, comfortable, and the views were beautiful. Per my husband the gift basket with treats was especially thoughtful and the kitchen/grill were perfect for food preparation for their group. My husband says, “I give it five stars and I would stay there again if I am ever back in the area!” Thanks Jacob!

Katie has a way of making her guests feel special—whether it’s the thoughtful amenities, the pristine cleanliness, or her local recommendations that made our trip unforgettable. The serene surroundings and peaceful atmosphere were exactly what we needed to unwind and recharge. We can’t recommend Katie’s enough! It’s a rare gem that keeps us coming back, and we can’t wait for our next visit.

Beautiful house and scenery. Had a nice family vacation on the water. The house was perfect for a family. The boat bed was a hit with our daughter, she thought it was so cool. Nice patio with fire pit which is a plus. Neighborhood seems very safe. Very quaint town so it’s more of a relaxing and outdoorsy kind of vacation spot. Hosts are very responsive and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was absolutely perfect for our needs. We were in town for our daughters wedding and the game room, mini golf course and fire pit area kept the wedding party entertained in our downtime. The location is beautiful and private! The host is very responsive and we had no issues. We are already talking about returning for a summer trip next year!

Review: Our stay at the lake house on Lake Blackshear was nothing short of incredible! My family and I traveled 12 hours to spend Thanksgiving with my father-in-law, and this home provided the perfect setting for a truly memorable holiday. The views were absolutely breathtaking—watching the sunrise and sunset from the porch quickly became our favorite part of the day. The house was well-equipped with all the amenities we needed, making our stay both comfortable and convenient. We spent our days fishing and relaxing by the water, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. It was exactly what we needed to unwind and reconnect as a family. The host clearly put a lot of thought into making the home welcoming and enjoyable for guests. If you’re looking for a serene getaway with stunning views and everything you need to relax, this lake house is the perfect choice. Would highly recommend.

This place was everything that was advertised. It was easy to find, immaculate, had everything we could possibly need, even provided everything for s'mores by the fire pit (which we put to use!). We got there at night, and when we all got up the next morning and saw the view of the lake we were all stunned. It was just beautiful. There was parking for our three cars, and a ramp by the entrance if needed. Val checked on us several times to see if we needed anything, but we never did. I will definitely rebook here.

Beautiful place to stay in the woods. The kids had plenty of places to run outside and they really enjoyed the kayaks and playing in the pond.

Nice lake location. Love the sunroom that overlooks the lake.

Mitch’s place had everything that we needed. Nice, centrally, located on the lake. We were able to fish by the dam and up by Decatur. Would love to stay there during summer pool. It was clean and had everything that we needed.

Truly cannot recommend this place enough! The lake was so incredibly peaceful and beautiful, we spent hours reading out on the dock and I’m wishing I could drink my coffee there every morning! The house had everything we could possibly need and felt like home. It had so many thoughtful details and decorations throughout. Jeffrey is an excellent host, very responsive and helpful, and we are hoping to come back many many more times in the future.

loved staying there. would love to come back and enjoy the lake more. the weather didn't really cooperate with us but it was fine hanging in the house watching TV or playing cards with my girlfriend. she really loved the hot tub a lot. thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful lake front home.

This home is in a gorgeous location right on the lake. There is opportunity to hang out outside or inside, depending upon weather. It was in the 30’s and rainy when we were there, the home was very cozy. It was too wet for the fire pit. The dock would be great for spring and summer hangouts. We fished by the lakeside on the last afternoon when the sun came out. Saw a couple of deer every evening and morning. Lots of restaurants, shopping, grocery nearby. The beds were comfy, linens clean, house was clean, heater worked. I would stay here again.

Very lovely cabin. Actually looked better in person than it did in the photos. The hosts were very responsive and attentive. The kitchen is fully stocked with seasonings and cooking supplies. We loved the rocking chairs on the screened in porch. Only downfalls were a good bit of the dishes that were put away were not cleaned, but you are expected to load those into the dishwasher yourself. My assumption is that previous guests did not rinse the dishes before running them through the wash and someone put them up after not checking them first. Not a huge deal. We can't speak much on the amenities offered at the cabin because we stayed during bad weather, but it was the perfect cabin for an unplugged weekend with just board games and food. Overall, it was a really great place to stay and we would personally go back.

My boyfriend and I loved this cabin for a simple birthday getaway! We both needed to unwind and disconnect for a little bit and we both came back refreshed. The creek is beautiful and we took full advantage of the grill and hot tub! The listing describes this place very well and I will definitely book again when I need a slow pace. I always love to support local people and businesses so definitely be sure to go by downtown blue ridge!

My husband and I had an amazing time at the whitewater cabin! It was the perfect space for a weekend escape. We wish we could have stayed an entire month if our jobs allowed. We highly suggest staying, you will not be disappointed. Tom and Kylie were wonderful super hosts and we will definitely be back!

This was the third consecutive year for me and my high school buddies, from 50+ years ago), to spend a couple of days, at Amanda’s. Everything was great, from the moment we arrived until departure. The cleanliness of everything was outstanding and the kitchen had everything needed to fix the large breakfast that was ate. The grill also got a full workout for the evening meals and it performed flawlessly. We’re all making plans to return next year! Thank you Amanda!

Wonderful place to stay no matter what you have planned! Close to many state parks and local attractions, we went to see Ruby Falls for my birthday! The cabin was just what we needed, peaceful and relaxing. We definitely plan on coming back!
