Where to even start? This cabin was the absolute best. We went with a total of 8 adults and 6 children under the age of 5. The cabin was so much more spacious than the photos make it appear, which was a very pleasant surprise. The finished basement is huge and was a great space for the kids. The kitchen was very well equipped and spacious for us to cook meals and snacks. The beds were comfortable and the walls are thick and you can’t hear a lot of outside noise. The location is great - about 10 minutes to Davis and 15 to Thomas and plenty of hiking and other activities. Our Apple Maps didn’t route us to the right place, but G00gle Maps did, just as an FYI. Seriously can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back.

Cute and cozy place. We had 5 adults, an infant and a large dog and had plenty of room. Location was central to Blackwater Falls, Canaan Valley and 30 minutes from Seneca Rocks. Great place to stay.

DockHoliday is a happy little place tucked between state parks. We enjoyed staying here for three nights. The house was suitable for our party, 4 adults and 3 small children. The amenities in the house were adequate to meet our needs. Keurig Coffee Maker, functioning Washer/Dryer, Foosball Table, and full size fridge to hold our groceries made our stay comfortable. Know that this house is on a two-lane road that serves as a main road around this western portion of Deep Creek Lake. The traffic isn’t constant, but the noise of passing cars and trucks can be disruptive to those seeking a vacation home that brings them closer to nature. Also, the living space in the house isn’t large, so noise travels easily. May be a problem for noise-sensitive people in your party. If sleeping in the master bedroom on the main level, I recommend bringing a white-noise machine to mask the noises of footsteps on the second level. We came to see the Lake and State Parks and this house was a nice base.

Enjoyed my stay. Building is one half of a 2 unit townhome but felt very private, both inside and out. Hot tub and fireplace both were easy to work with clear instructions for hot tub use. Place was clean and cozy with comfortable beds. Location was convenient to the ski areas, and a nice view of Timberline was available through the trees from the back porch or hot tub area. The office for check in was about a 6 minute drive from the property, and check in was hassle free, with a simple pick up and drop off box for the keys. Matt was responded very quickly (less than 10 minutes) to a question I had while driving to the property. Kitchen appliances are a little old but everything is perfectly functional and well stocked in terms of dishes and cookware. It’s a great value and I would recommend to others.

The tiny home was a perfect mountain getaway. Rich and Brittany communicated clearly the entire time. We would definitely go back again!

My husband, daughter, pup and I very much enjoyed our weekend getaway to Creek Haven. A very picturesque and serene setting, perfect for relaxing time away. Cabin was neat and clean, we would definitely stay there again.

We had the pleasure of staying at this cabin during our visit to New Vrindavan, and though our trip started with challenges, it became unforgettable thanks to Shane and his incredible family. Our car got stuck in the muddy gravel road upon arrival. Shane and his family worked tirelessly all day to help us, even into the evening, despite lacking the right tools. Their determination and care deeply moved us. The next morning, Shane went above and beyond, searching the city for tools and successfully freeing our car that afternoon. To our amazement, he offered us an extra night at no cost. We’ve never experienced such kindness and generosity. Shane and his family treated us like their own, with genuine care and compassion. Anytime we visit the area, we’ll book this cabin and recommend it to everyone. Shane and his family are some of the kindest, most generous people we’ve ever met. Our stay at the cottage was wonderful! The area was nice and quiet! Very rustic and scenic! Bill was a great host, gave clear and precise directions, and even left us some treats in the mornings! Great location, great host, and a great time if peace and quiet is what you're after!

The house was beautiful and fully functional for our family of 8. She provided extra linen if needed and fully stocked kitchen for your cooking needs. I would highly recommend this home and will love to go back again.

We loved our relaxing stay- we sat by the fire, watched movies, played pool, and skied and hiked during our visit. The beds were super comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The host provided extras that were unexpected- handsoap, shower toiletries and a welcome basket of chocolate. So sweet! The house was spacious for our family of 6. I loved that we could all be together and then retreat to our own spaces for sleep.

We really enjoyed our stay at Greg and Pia's cabin. Private, quiet, and well equipped. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for our fishing trip! Check in and check out was a breeze.

My fiancee and I had a tremendous weekend getaway. We loved the set up, hospitality, and warmth of the cabin. We learned about previous tenants and participated in a dollar bill game - highly recommend! The hot tub was spot on, the cabin was cozy. The owner's are not far in case you need anything. Go, check it out for yourself. Worth every bit!

we loved our stay here! The house was a cozy, with plenty of space for us and our two kids. The board games were a hit! Location was perfect- easy 10 minutes to Timberline, 5 minutes to Davis. Laura was a great host- super responsive and even quickly took care of mailing us something we left behind! we'll definitely stay here again

This is the second time that I have stayed in Emily’s property in Hendricks. I liked the downstairs apartment even more than the upstairs one. The cost is very reasonable and the spaces are very comfortable. The Allegheny Trail is right next to the building.

Friends and family members rented several cabins at Black Bear for a wonderful weekend! Joan’s description warns that AWD is needed at this time of year—and it is. 🤪. Maintenance at Black Bear was extremely responsive when one of our group had difficulty getting out of the resort due to snow/ice. Nice to have the covered back porch to take off snowy wet clothes/boots.

Everything was phenomenal. Plenty of space to maneuver and have gatherings with loved ones.

My wife and I needed a trip away from the city for the long holiday weekend where we could enjoy some good activity in peaceful surroundings with our dog. This cozy pedestal cabin in Black Bear Resort was just what we were looking for. Check in was easy by picking up the keys at the resort lodge. The place had everything we needed to a cook a couple nights for ourselves, including the gas grill on the deck. The wall-mounted 4K flatscreen TV with Roku let us relax after three active days out and about in Canaan Valley while we listened to the thunderstorms roll over the mountains each evening. This would certainly be a fine place for folks (especially with kids -- there were two sets of bunk beds in the loft) to use a base for their WV adventures any time of year!

We had an amazing stay despite the rain and the cold. This was our first visit in Garret county and Swanton. We absolutely loved it in the mountains. The residence is spacious, well maintained and absolutely recommended for a relaxed weekend. RV operates like a well-oiled machine and is doing an amazing job around Deep Creek. We look forward to booking again with them and buying in the future.

We celebrated our granddaughter’s 21st birthday at Lazy Bear Lodge. The home was beyond beautiful and extremely inviting.

The house had so much to do which was fantastic for our kids. They were happy to spend the whole day being entertained by the arcade, pool, and other amenities. Thanks!

We stayed at David's wonderful home for a few days around the New Year's. The kitchen was well appointed, the beds comfortable and the gas fireplace was really comforting when it was cold and stormy outside. wonderful location close to the national wildlife refuge, State Parks and the great little towns of Davis and Thomas West Virginia. highly recommended!

We booked James’s place at the last minute, and we chose it for the location rather than the accommodation. However, when we arrived we had a wonderful surprise, because it was much nicer than the photos had let us to believe. It was spacious and comfortable, with a good-sized kitchen and a lovely sitting area. The kids loved having the playground outside, and it was amazing to soak in the hot tub surrounded by snow, watching the stars come out. We also enjoyed using the indoor swimming pool and games room, and visiting the ponies at the riding centre. The kids sledded down the hill outside and we also went sledding at Blackwater Falls, which was fantastic. The waterfall looked so beautiful with all the icicles. We didn’t have time to try Timberline, but the skiing at Canaan Valley was reasonably priced and great fun. We also had a few nice meals in Davis and Thomas, and a beautiful walk to Douglas falls. Overall, it was a fabulous stay and we will definitely come again if we can…
