Cozy retreat is an understatement. This place was great. Exactly as described. Peaceful and quiet surroundings. Would for sure recommend to anyone looking to escape from the norm.

Perfect log cabin in the mountains. Great at home feel with everything you need and more. They were responsive and answered every question we had almost immediately. Would definitely stay again.

Our family had a wonderful vacation, we felt right at home! You can do as much or as little as you want in the beautiful surrounding mountains! It was a perfect fit for us!

Great home with modern finishes. Good bed and great bathtub with plenty of hot water. Only minor suggestion would be blinds above the master bed, and perhaps getting a more comfortable couch. Over all, very pleased with the weekend.

We had an incredible stay at Thistle Ridge! The home is gorgeous and the location is ideal! Upon arrival, there was an issue with the hot tub. Much to my surprise (because it was late at night in the day before Thanksgiving), the company’s technician responded quickly. He was incredibly kind and professional! Valerie was excellent and quickly responded to all my questions. We look forward to our next stay with Valerie!

Had an amazing weekend, everything was very clean and well-kept! Valerie was super responsive and helped immediately with any questions or concerns.

Overall, we had a lovely 4th of July vacation at Jeff's place. The local private lake beach access was a highlight (vs. Lake Lure public beach which was super crowded). There were maybe a dozen people there when we visited, and we enjoyed jumping off the dock & floating. The home itself was very comfortable, the AC was nice and cold and very welcome! Beds were comfortable, shower heads were nice, kitchen was very well stocked. The views were top notch, and we were treated to a couple of colorful sunsets over the mountains! A couple of nitpicks - the provided area map is not very good, missing a basic cookie sheet, nearly all door handles were exasperating / super annoying, the smaller couch seemed somewhat broken in the center, one of the bathrooms was leaking into the garage (we think?) and the host was pretty slow to respond to a couple of simple questions and never responded to my last one. Oh, and the ping pong table is missing a foot and is pretty unstable, use with caution!

Micheal was an amazing host! He was very proactive and responsive to anything and everything we needed. Not to mention he was very generous and really prided himself on making our stay perfect! I couldn’t ask for anything more. The cabin is beautiful with so much land. It was just what we needed to get away as a family.

Andrea was great to book with. We booked last minute and they graciously accepted. Good communication and no issues with any part of our stay. The house and property were beautiful! It was great to be able to bring our dogs and they had a fenced in area to run. It was a peaceful getaway with lots of hiking and other things to do in nature in the area.

It was a very nice stay. Very convenient to Tryon Equestrian!

We have stayed at the Cider House a few times with our dogs. The house is perfect with plenty of space with a great kitchen, beautiful bathroom with strong water pressure, and plenty of space to walk our dogs outside. Every morning that we were there this time, we saw deer in the backyard which was perfect. The Cider House is our go-to place when we stay in the area to visit family and friends. Look forward to our next visit!

Perfect location for attending an event at TIEC. Had everything we needed for a long weekend.

Wonderful home on a beautiful point with a fantastic view!! We would certainly stay here again, the whole house has a perfectly chill lake vibe, comfortable furniture, and is immaculately clean! Arouna & Charlie were wonderful hosts, immediately responsive and the care they have for this home shows!

Grey's Airbnb was just what we needed. It is very convenient to go to the Tryon Equestrian Center. It was clean and well-appointed. His dogs are charming and friendly. It was a great stay!

Our group of nine ranged in age from 17-67. The home was spacious and allowed us to gather for meals or scatter for some quiet moments. We loved having a bedroom and bathroom for everyone! Four king beds was wonderful, too. All of us agreed the beds were very comfortable. The game room offered another place for old and young to come together. Us old folks showed the young ones a thing or two about pool and they showed us a thing or two about video games! (They brought their Switch which we played on the tv in the room). The vintage arcade games were fun for all and there’s plenty of seating for those who just want to hang out and watch. Jennifer was very responsive with any questions we had. She also checked in when there was a tornado warning in the area and let us know when it had passed. There is a Harris Teeter’s at the top of the neighborhood which made it convenient to grab food items we needed upon arrival and the home is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. Great stay!

My husband and I stayed a week over Christmas to visit family. Terry and Bill met us when we arrived and were super friendly and showed us around, met our dog, and gave us the history of the cottage. The cottage was very cozy and exactly what we needed! Gorgeous scenery and was fun to see the horses every morning. We will be back!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Jan and Charlie’s place. Their communication was great. The pool house was immaculate and had plenty of thoughtful touches. The cookies were delicious! We especially enjoyed the family history on the walls. Highly recommend a stay here.

This is our second stay at Aramis's home. It was just as lovely the second time around. We were in town for a horse show at TIEC. The rental is comfortable and feels like a home away from home. The neighborhood is lovely and peaceful. Aramis is a wonderful host. He is very responsive and goes the extra mile providing snacks and breakfast foods. We will definitely stay again!

This was our second stay with Jody and Shaun. They are the nicest hosts and we loved our cabin with its private porch looking at the woods. Perfect for a couples romantic getaway. They were almost finished with the construction of their pool but the fire pit area was completed. They are doing everything first rate so it will be fantastic when it’s done. We hope to be back again dome day. .

Our family rented the Fountain of Young over Thanksgiving as a central location to gather 3 generations together. It's ideal for families; there are enough bedrooms for everyone to have their own space, yet many spaces to gather together. The media room with the projector screen was a huge hit, as was the heated outdoor pool (a perk when most rentals close up their pools once summer is over). We enjoyed the outdoor gas fire pits; the private beach and kayaks looked inviting for those renting in warmer weather. There are beautiful views of the lake from many spots along the rear of the house. Lastly I must comment on the kitchen - I have never rented an Air bnb with a better equipped kitchen! Any kitchen gadget you could possibly need is on site. For all the dishes, glasses, bakeware, etc., everything was so clean - they have an awesome cleaning crew. Also love that this rental is green they have detailed recycling instructions.

Amazing trip! The host was so sweet and even offered for us to extend our stay due to weather. Felt like family. Beautiful room and service. Happy to help our WNC 🫶🏻

I booked this home so my husband and I could visit our family for the holidays who live about 30 mins away. It was able to accommodate us perfectly. I also have a baby who was able to have an entire nursery to herself which was such a blessing as we wanted her to be comfortable and unaffected. Even though the owners live at the property, the home was absolutely spotless and we felt right at home. They even had a Christmas tree up that we were so excited to gather around on Christmas morning. Very grateful to have found this listing!

House was BEAUTIFUL!! Large but also cozy! Everything we could have needed was in the house. We just brought in our own food. Peaceful surroundings. Wish it would have been closer to the pools - like walking distance with kids. But we worked it out. Would recommend this house!
