We've stayed in a lot of amazing Airbnbs over the years, but Caireen and Jacelyn's artsy heritage abode in Calgary is one of the most memorable. We spent a week with our two kiddos (4 and 7) and from the minute we arrived to the minute we left, everything was just perfect. The location is fantastic -- walkable to downtown/Chinatown in 10-15 minutes, great views across the river just a couple of blocks away, dozens of great restaurants and coffee shops along 1st and the Edmonton Trail. The house itself is comfortable, funcitonal, and unique. Besides the art (which is so cool!) there were kid and adult books to peruse, a great kitchen (and coffee setup), and as you can see in the pictures, a fantastic outdoor space, which we used in sun, clouds, and snow! Caireen was super responsive and friendly, even offering to mail some items we'd forgotten at the house. All in all, a wonderful stay, absolutely a trip we hope to replicate in the future.

There was plenty of room for our family vacation and we didn’t feel crowded! The house matched the description and had everything we needed. Adelio was a responsive host that reached out to check on us.

Wow just wow! A beautiful view on the inset lake. Very comfortable furniture and bed. Huge spaces throughout the home. Everything you need plus more. The kitchen island bar top was wonderful to work from and enjoy the million dollar view. Highly recommended. I will be back!! 5 star + all the way

What a great stay we had!! The house was great! The host was great! We loved staying at Chad's place. The location was perfect for us and there is a lot of restaurants and stores close to the house. Beds were very comfy and the kitchen was so spacious. Chad was super to communicate and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This place was perfect for our family’s spring break vacation to Calgary. It had plenty of room, great privacy and was close to everything. Highly recommend this house if you are visiting Calgary!

Large home with plenty of space for the 5 ladies. Enough bathrooms for a bunch of woman and of course the hottub is a great addition!

We spent a great few months here on our exchange to the University of Calgary! We felt right at home in this cozy apartment. It’s easy to get to Kensington, Downtown and the University by bus. Mike and Rukhsana are great hosts, they’re always there if you need help!

Jen and Steven had the fastest responses from a host that I've ever had. The property was exactly as described and we felt right at home. It was peaceful, very clean, well kept, and a wonderful place to stay!

My favorite place to stay in Calgary!

We stayed for just one night at Nikki’s place but we enjoyed it so much. What a cool and cozy place! My son was very excited to see the antique decor and immediately started playing shop. We had so much fun. Nikki is a great host and was kind and quick to respond.

This is a wonderful retreat along the river. It is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood but close to the popular mission area in downtown Calgary. Rhiannon is a great host. She is always responsive to any requests and easy to communicate with.

we came in pretty late, (10pm) so was a but tricky to find, but we contacted the host and she guided us threw it ! and even drew us a map! which was 100% key to helping us find it. it was calm relaxing cozy little cabin! perfect get away from the city! fishing spot was great! (maybe if they weed whacked the brush it would be 10/10 spot. but was great! was super private and quite and the view coming is was stunning! lots of walking! definitely recommend a nice getaway!

What a great gem of a find a little hideaway for a few quiet days away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Can’t wait to go back.

Loved this property! Rustic but with nice decorating and charm. If you love an older character house this is a gem. The view right outside the porch is incredible! The sound of the river and being in nature while still just a short walk away from all the amenities is a rarity. Definitely recommend bringing house shoes though as the floors are as described and need these to stay splinter free. The host is wonderful and we will certainly be returning. Thanks!

This was our second time staying at Omar's place. When we needed a quick getaway and some quiet time, we thought of his place right away! It's close enough to Calgary that we had some good food from a restaurant, but the kitchen in the cabin is well stocked and we made a wonderful breakfast in the morning as well. Omar is so friendly and helpful! We definitely plan to go back again.

Steve was a great host, the cabin was beautiful and we were right next to the bisons. It was well worth the money and would definitely come again! There was excellent privacy and a good amount of space for activities.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the River Cabin. The location is very peaceful and private for being so close to downtown. It's a real treat to be right on the river! The cabin itself is full of character, history and good vibes. This isn't a totally redone and coldly pristine modern space and we were glad of that. The cabin feels lived-in and loved in all the best ways. It had everything we needed in the kitchen. Two bathrooms are always a plus, and the washer and dryer were convenient. We loved the large primary bedroom suite with tall ceilings and views of the river. Our dogs had a great time walking the local river trails. And Rhiannon was a wonderfully communicative, warm, and helpful host. This is definitely where we'll stay when we next visit Calgary!
