Ginny's River House was the perfect weekend stay for me, my husband, and our two dogs. We kept our dogs leashed while outside (my terrier is fearless and would absolutely leap from the docks given the opportunity). Everyone was comfortable and we had plenty of space; the couches were SO cozy and the bed/linens were perfect. Laura really anticipates her guests' needs and provides thorough directions to put us at ease. The dock was picturesque, especially at sunset and the neighborhood felt sleepy and calm. Downtown Edenton was about 20 minutes away (one way) and we really enjoyed driving through the historic neighborhoods, soaking up the views of the sound, and dining at the local restaurants. We didn't have any issues during our stay, but I let Laura know when we were checking out and she was super quick to respond.

This house was well stocked and clean. I would rent it again!

I can't say enough about how lovely this home is! Such an adorable house, guest house, and yard, with great spaces for spending time together. Kitchen had everything we needed, couch was cozy for watching movies, 2 tables for board games, comfy beds, great outdoor space for reading or having a picnic, beautiful bathrooms, and truly everything you need for a perfect stay. It was great being so close to town and we walked there every day. Having the Farmers Market on the end of the street was such a bonus! Truly a perfect stay!

Truly this lovely cottage was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in! It was spotless, FULLY equipped with anything and everything you could expect or might need, perfect location in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts were extremely attentive and responsive in a very timely manner and were amenable to requests. There were no problems whatsoever, and we highly recommend Erik and Lisa and their perfect little home away from home. We would gladly come again!

Alice made sure we had a great and safe trip, even though EC got hit with several inches of snow! Alice made sure our walkway was clear and that we had everything we needed. Our only real concern was that the floors got very cold, so if you visit in the winter bring plenty of socks and slippers! Overall we would definitely recommend staying here both for the view and for Alice’s hospitality.

Amazing location with view to the lighthouse & the water… and less than one block from the main downtown strip! Walkable to everything in Edenton. The space looked just like the photos and was super clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive and even tried to help fix a flat tire on one of the bikes while we were there. Would definitely stay here again.

This listing was better than pictured/described in my opinion and I couldn't have been happier with my experience. Host's hospitality and personal touches made me feel right at home. Rick and Trish were incredibly responsive. All amenities functioned perfectly without hiccups. Peaceful area. I will definitely stay here in when we visit again! First time running the Coast Guard Marathon. I hope to bring my husband next time and stay here again!

We had another peaceful, beautiful stay with Alice! Alice is a warm, lovely host and we will always stay with her when we are in Elizabeth City. The apt and the scenery are beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay in Elizabeth City! It really made our vacation to have such a spectacular base. The condo was amazing- it looked like the pictures, was spacious and had a wonderful view! Downtown was in close proximity- making it so convenient to eat and shop at local places!

This place was perfect for an overnight stay with my dog. It was clean, in a nice location, and the hosts were warm and friendly. They had sooo many great books in the "library", I wanted to stay longer just to read some of them. Highly recommend and hopefully will be back.
