Fantastic spot for a quiet break. Nearby walks,beaches, cafes,shops. Property had everything needed, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

A great place to stay for our last few days on the South Island. Very clean and well equipped. James and his two dogs were very friendly.

Perfect location for beach and walkable restaurants. Everything was as described. Great patio to hang out.

The place was the perfect location for a surfing event at Sumner Beach. Ann was very responsive and pleasant from the very beginning. The place was spacious and comfortable and had a beautiful view. The Scarborough Fare (cafe) right out in front was perfect for our morning coffee, delicious breakfast and taking in the beauty of the beach. The town center was close by and Christchurch was just 25 minutes away. We had a wonderful time and hope to return in the future! Thank you Ann!

overall a great stay. the flat was as expected, fully functional and good equipped. access to the beach was nice, especially to observe the early sunrise. it's outside of New Brighton, to shops and bars it would be a 6+km walk (a bit long). there is a bus stop in front of the house which brings you to New Brighton in 10-15 min and into the city (bus interchange) in 40-45 minutes. with a car you probably would be better off. but it was absolutely OK without. the host Robert is a very nice guy. we had some good chats.

Worth every penny. It was a beautiful apartment. Comfortable beds. Plenty of amenities and absolutely pristine. Would stay there again. Host was attentive fantastic knowledge sent us a message with loads of choices of things to do before we got there and we used this to plan the trip. Gave us great tips on where to eat and cannot thank them enough. Five star.

Enjoyed our stay at Akaroa for one night. Apartment was 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen and dining area are smallish but met our needs, reasonable sized lounge with view of water which was lovely to have . Off street parking which was great. Easy walk to restaurants, cafes and main wharf where boat trips leave from. Nice place to stay in Akaroa.

The place is exactly like the pictures. super cozy. it has a beautiful view. Close to everything. I had a great night. It was a pity that the swimming competition was canceled and the place is no longer being used. Thank you.

Such a lovely space. Hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Accomodation was prefect and well worth it, views were private so no one could see in but gave us a lovely vista of the wharf & harbour. Seating was comfortable. Will definitely be back. x

great place, super close to the beach, you can hear the waves crashing at night in one of the bed rooms, close to local restaurants and a grocery store so very convenient. I would definitely recommend

Was a last minute booking & Adam responded very fast. Check in was easy, very clear instructions. Apartment was lovely & warm (we arrived in a cold windy southerly) and we loved the underfloor heating 😁. Amazing views to wake up to with the waterfront right in front. Would definitely stay again.

Gayle was welcoming, communicative, and happy to support a slightly later checkout time so I could go walking in the hills. A beautiful spot just across the road from the beach, and right next to two laid back beach bars with tasty food and nice vibes :)

We stayed at Carol’s place for a month and couldn’t have felt more at home! The fact that it was previously a cafe adds to its charm and makes it a very fun, unique stay. It offers large, open space where we worked from home during the day and was just a block from the beach where we could go when we logged off. The neighborhood is quiet, clean, and private. We only had 1 small issue when a piece of furniture lost a leg but Carol was quick to send a handyman to fix it the very next day. She was always quick to respond and incredibly helpful when we had any questions. We highly recommend this stay!
