We had a lovely couple of day's stay in John's beautiful cottage. John phoned to make sure we had received the key code and to see if we had any questions. The cottage is in a superb position in the village with stunning views of the castle, the Farne islands and the harbour from the kitchen, the garden and from both bedrooms. The cottage is very well-equipped for being self-catering if you do not want to eat out at the lovely pub next door! You can park the car right outside and charge it ( if it is electric). Therefore, once you have arrived you can go on lovely walks around the island and, if you time it right with the tides, you can be there when the island is cut off, all the day-trippers have gone, and it is so peaceful. Highly recommend - as a family we have enjoyed some great Airbnb's - and this is one of the finest. A well appointed and cosy cottage right in the heart of Amble - the location is hard to beat, within an easy walk to restaurants, bars and harbour/beach. As a family we found the space well considered, with a cosy sitting room and a separate dinning room - offering us the opportunity to share time together over dinner. The Kitchen is not large but has all you need and so is very manageable for a few days away. 3 good sized bedrooms and a large bathroom made getting ready for a family of 4 easy enough (and the shower water pressure was spot on too!). Overall we couldn't fault the accommodation, or Kerry's support as host - and would highly recommend to other families. We would certainly re-book the cottage if and when we return to Amble.

We had a fabulous stay over New Year's Eve in the cottage. Perfect location for star gazing and walks on crisp cold days. We loved the fires, indoor and outdoor.

Absolutely stunning place! From outside - the beautiful, natural surroundings to the inside, stunning high end and luxurious decor. Nicola has thought of absolutely everything! We had everything we needed and more. Nicola was really responsive, friendly, and recommended local walks. Even gave us some extra supplies after a muddy day out! Would definitely stay again! Just back from a couple of nights at The Great Escape and feel as thoughtful gh we've been away for a week. Very relaxing space , friendly little pub on site. Amusements was just enough to keep the kids entertained without being over the top and taking away from the feel of the place . Cracking dark skies for star viewing in the hottub. Would definitely return.

Lovely weekend! Absolutely loved the decking and hot tub area and watching the sunrise in the morning! Had a lovely long walk to explore the surrounding areas and we were very impressed! Hopefully be back again soon!

Julie is an excellent host with great customer service. We've stayed in her properties for three years in a row and are already booked for next year. The house is well appointed and in a great area for discovering Northumberland. Thank you Julie.
