What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

I can’t recommend Lisa’s place enough. We had a different air bnb booked which cancelled on us 2 days before our trip. We were so pleased to find Lisa’s lovely home and we are pleased our original one cancelled! The house is really large and spacious, lots of room for our group of 10. Rooms were comfortable and all facilities were more than adequate for our group. Lots of seating inside and out, lovely hot tub and a lovely sunny garden. The house is on a quiet estate with ample parking. Lisa communicated really well and check in was easy. Would highly recommend

We had a lovely stay for NYE at Ingram House! The bar area was a great space to relax in and the dining room and lounge area were also lovely. There was plenty of space and it was very comfortable! Highly recommend a stay here!

We loved our stay at the house. Our highlight of the stay was watching a movie on the massive projector screen and making use of the hot tub. Would thoroughly recommend.

Pauline was not only an exceptional host, responsive, friendly and warm, but her place was stunning. The location is beautiful and so peaceful. Watching the sunset over the fields from the hot tub was perfect! The cottage itself is a perfect size and just beautifully decorated and laid out. And Pauline has thought of everything. The little touches really made our stay. I can’t wait to come and stay again!

we stayed in hut #2 on Aidan and Wendy's property. The introduction was great, we dealt with Aiden. A straight shooting gentleman, he explained the rules and general procedure to me and my partner before leaving us to ourselves. The property is well kept and tidy, there are security cameras all over the place (they are not aimed at the hut), for that peace of mind. we had a suprise visit from Aiden and Wendy's pup which was a pleasant suprise as our dog made a new friend. The huts are small so with two of us and a large dog it was pretty full but if you've read the description and pictures you'll know what your getting into. we really liked that cosy feel. Especially with the wood burning fire on. The back roads can be daunting to navigate if you are not familiar with country lanes but take it slow and you will be fine. It's worth the trip to Aiden and Wendy's sanctuary.

A lovely place to stay in a beautiful location. The cottage has everything you need and is really well designed and furnished. The secure garden was great for our little dog and the teenagers loved the hot tub. Rye is a great place to visit with some really nice small shops and Winchelsea beach nearby was great for dog walking. Would definitely come back!

My kids had a fantastic time. They absolutely loved the hot tub set up and the kids toys and Wendy house. They've already asked if we can come back. Excellent.

Beaitiful place to stay and a gtreat host thank you

Great place to stay out of the hustle & bustle of Whitstable but a gorgeous walk in along the beach / coast walk - flat and easy for all. Really enjoyed staying in this area - lovely houses and beach feels very private. Plus the house is 3 houses down from the sea and upstairs bedrooms have great seaview. Very sociable space - 4 couples stayed and we had so much room to cook, eat & sit and the garden is a bonus.

A beautifully decorated apartment in a convenient and quiet location. Hannah was very responsive to my messages and we had everything we needed for our stay. As with many properties this age, the ceiling height was a little challenging in some areas for the taller members of our group but did not affect the enjoyment of our trip!

We had a wonderful two night stay. Katy and Bryan were lovely hosts, and we very much enjoyed the freshly-baked bread and home-made jam. The location was beautiful and peaceful, and the cabin was charming and comfortable. We will be returning!

We were 4 friends, a daughter and 2 dogs. We booked at very short notice (the morning of the stay) as our ferry to Guernsey was cancelled due to the weather. Rachel was very responsive to taking our booking and getting the cleaners arranged. The property is very beautiful and spacious with a larger kitchen and dining area. The entrance door is the smallest I have seen and it felt we were entering a large Bilbo Baggins hobbit house. Plenty of parking space for our 3 cars. Plenty of kitchen equipment, crockery, glasses and fridge space. We sat in the large lounge and watched the 6 Nations Rugby when it rained and had wonderful walks on a few beaches. There is an excellent butchers 5 minutes away and also fantastic fresh fish at a Hastings fishmongers. We had a great time celebrating a friend’s birthday and I highly recommend this place.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Stable. The photos when we booked looked amazing but in reality it was superb. The bed and settee were super comfy and all the TV set up was great. We had amazing weather for April so really enjoyed the little sun trap of a garden. The lights at night were so pretty. Going to get some for home. The kitchen had everything we needed. Little goodies left by Greg were very nice. Our little dog was very well behaved and enjoyed his holiday too. The stable is in good walking distance to everywhere in Southend. We walked miles both ways on the beach. Luckily we came before 1st May because after that till September dogs are not allowed on the beaches. And that would have been a game changer for us. All in all it is a lovely little cottage. Designed beautifully well done.

A really lovely bolthole in stones throw of the beach, cosy and peaceful.

Dani's place is a lovely detached property in a development near the beach. It was peaceful and very nicely decorated. The place was well equipped although kitchen roll would have been useful and we aren't that keen on UHT milk! Other than that we couldn't fault it. We would definitely go back. The food at The Owl was excellent and easy walking distance away. If you want to walk to the beach don't try section D like we did - cross the car park to the right hand corner, by the pay machine, and access via the much easier section C.

Lovely place very clean and cozy. Hot tub was great also very clean. Love the little touches with the eggs and orange juice. Will book again in the summer when the pool is open thanks for our stay.

Nice stay! Comfortable beds, clean rooms, thoughtfully laid out, well equipped, and so close to great walks and heritage sites. The kids loved the indoor pool. The chalet is probably meant to be enjoyed best in warmer weather but Neil provided enough space heaters to keep warm. The electricity is run on coin meter- took about 6-7£ for 2 days in February, could probably get away with half of that in warmer months.

I would happily give this an 11/10 rating. From the start, Larissa was approachable and friendly. The property was lovely, with quality fittings and furnishings. The location was ideal for visiting numerous places. Parking was right next to the property, on a large private drive. A welcome pack included breakfast cereals in jars, as well as fruit juice - a lovely touch. The icing on the cake for us, was that Larissa and her Husband had researched local WW2 remains, as well as cycle routes (as they knew that was why we were staying there), and left us a lovely letter with ideas of where to go, as well as relevant leaflets tied up with a ribbon - Above and beyond expectations. Carrie is a fantastic host and we enjoyed our stay at her place. The cottage has everything you need for a long family stay. And families with young kids will enjoy extra stuff like high chairs and toys. There is also a nice private garden and the bbq area.

Excellent stay - very large & spacious! The game room was a hit for adults & kids! The two kitchens were very useful too. Can't wait to come back in the summer and make the most of the large lawn & pool!

Absolutely fabulous!! What a perfect place! The location is superb, just enough out of the way to be quiet and see all the stars, yet close enough to the cities and transportation to get anywhere you need without a fuss. Plus the pool and the gardens!! What a fantastic treat! Alex was so wonderfully accommodating and helpful! She had all the little niceties, especially for a family, that made our stay just a little bit easier. Super clean and comfortable. We could not have asked for a better host or accommodations!

I booked to stay at the cottage for my husband's birthday and it didn't disappoint. The communication between myself and Tim & Maite was great. They were always responsive and super helpful. The photos of the house don't do it justice. It’s such a lovely area and although you may see the occasional walker in the distance, you feel like your'e in the middle of nowehere. The hot tub was a great addition to the property, especially since the pool at the house was not available due to it being out of season and super cold, as explained prior to our arrival. We ( and the kids) loved the house, loved the fire, loved the hot tub, loved the games, We played the family edition of Cards Against Humanity and it was just a lovely relaxing family weekend away without computer games - it was bliss. The perfect setting and in my husbands words - it was the perfect find! Thank you so much to Tim and Maite for such a wonderful stay.
