We have had a wonderful Easter weekend at Kim’s Place the Old School House was great! It was the right size for us as a family hence why we booked it, we enjoyed the open dining living area, the little added touches like dressing gowns, and it had the essentials for our weekend. It was a short drive to Cockermouth where we went to eat or collect takeaway from restaurants. Beautiful views and surroundings. Was a home from home for us, had everything we needed. Thank you Kim. ☺️

We are frequent visitors to the Lakes and the Hayloft is definitely one of our best stays. plenty of nearby walks, quiet, set in a secluded valley with lovely views from your own outside seating area. spotless inside, with chickens awaiting you at the front door in the morning, what more can you ask for? 5 *

An absolute gem of a place. Perfectly placed for a walk uphill to Windermere or downhill to Bowness, with literally everything we needed on the doorstep, yet positioned in a lovely quiet residential street. The house is bursting with charm and character, and was clean, spacious, bright and comfortable. Lizzie had left a folder with comprehensive instructions and recommendations for the area but had also messaged before we arrived with plenty of useful information. We would not hesitate to return and would happily recommend this house, and host, to everyone else.

Our family had a great stay at this Airbnb. It was perfect for our two small families. It was walkable to the town and the lake. Perfect for a lovely weekend in the Lake District!

We had an absolutely fabulous stay here. Perfectly located, access to many of the large peaks and lakes is easy. The property was exactly as described and was ideal for a group of 5 with plenty of space to chill out in the evenings. Elisabeth was very communicative and helpful, providing insights to the local area in the form of documents provided and also over direct message. An easy five stars

The details are what separate good stays from great ones. Hause Hall has thought these through to the last inch and it boasts unbeatable charm with a location that provides spectacular views and proximity to nature. It would be a mistake to keep searching for a better stay!

This is a lovely flat with wonderful views. It is conveniently located in the centre of Keswick. The flat is well equipped. We loved it!

Great apartment, perfect for what we needed. We parked outside to unpack in the 1 hour free parking spaces then took the car to the local carpark where we left it for 3 days. The apartment is in a good location.

Wonderful place to stay near Wastwater. Beautiful flat, nicely decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. On the first floor with outdoor steps. Easy short walk down to the lake to swim or launch paddlboards. Can walk fells from the flat, perfect location. Really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Annie's Weaving Room provided us with a lovely, peaceful place to stay in Bowness On Windermere. It is only five minutes walk into town yet it could be miles away given the peace and quiet. Tony recommended a good local dog walk nearby which was so handy for our pup first thing in the morning. The apartment was clean and tidy and had pretty much everything you'd need for a good stay. We had beautiful weather while we were there which was a real boost!

We spent 5 nights here at the end of March and start of April 2025. We were really fortunate with the weather and took full advantage of the wonderful location: scaling Slight Side and Scafell on one day, riding to Coniston via the bridleway on another and 'bagging' most of the Coniston fells on another day via Wrynose Pass. We ate in on a couple of nights and also went to the Wainwright's for some pub grub, as well as Stoves for their evening menu. Simon and Belinda's place is very well situated in Great Langdale for all kinds of walks and rides, food and decent pints. The house itself is a lovely place to return to in the evening with easy parking outside for our van and once inside, everything is spotless, well equipped and cosy. We really appreciated all the helpful information on bike routes and walking routes and spent the late evenings by the fire pouring over the Wainwright books planning the next day's adventures. 100% recommended.

What can I say, the best Airbnb we have stayed at to date! This place is perfect, you are in the middle of fields, with lambs everywhere, your own private loch that has kayaks available to use (great fun!), a secure garden to let the dogs roam freely. The house itself is bigger than the images seem, we had plenty of space for four adults, a toddler and three dogs. They provided a cot and high chair which is a great help. There’s a huge boot room which is great to throw off your coat and walking boots, and give the dogs a towel dry after a walk. Beds were perfectly comfortable, a cosy log fire, plenty of hot water in the showers, what more could you ask for! The house felt more like a home than a rental and we are already planning our next trip. The hosts were friendly and available for any questions you may have. My daughter didn’t want to come inside, she was obsessed with the sheep and being in the garden! only issue was signal for the firestick/ phones was poor but not an issue.

Excellent communication was just the start, a beautifully appointed, cosy cottage. Great walks from the cottage and the Coledale Inn in Braithwaite in walking distance. Thoroughly recommend this fabulous cottage with great hosts! Thank you 🙏🏼

We had an absolutely lovely time staying at High Swinside. Diana was an amazing host and went out of her way to make us all feel comfortable. I would highly recommend any of her cottages.

We had such a lovely stay at Clare’s Cottage. The location was perfect for the pubs and restaurants in Ambleside and for beautiful walks nearby. We didn’t move the car all weekend. The cottage was beautifully presented and had everything we needed. Thank you for a fabulous weekend. We would definitely return.
