This is a special, unique place. The personality shines through in everything they do - you’d be hard pushed to find friendlier hosts and staff. Great beer and food at their independent pub and a delicious free breakfast if you stay! Will be booking here again next time we’re driving up to Scotland…

Absolutely amazing place to stay! The view through the window was stunning, especially sunrise. It was breaking... The location is perfect if you are looking for a calm and peaceful place to come back after the busy day out and about. The caravan was very clean and had everything we needed (the milk in the fridge was a very nice treat for us, thank you). We had a great time there. Highly recommend.

Great 2 night visit. Owners lovely and place very unique. loved the warm, cosy bothy and perfect setting.

Lovely cosy weekend away in the log cabin. It was very clean and spacious and Ruth was very quick in responding if we needed anything. The rowing boat was a nice touch and you could take it out whenever you wanted. We made use of the fire pit and bbq in the evening. Woke up to a lovely sunrise and the 2 deers in the field always came over to say hello. The area was so quiet and peaceful with lovely views. Would highly recommend!

2nd visit just a lovely little private pod Gillian is lovely always on hand we will be back again sometime ❤️

We had a great weekend in the Mouse House. The house is cosy, warm and well equipped. The location is fantastic and we enjoyed lovely walks from the house.

One very happy night’s stay, lovely cosy peaceful little cottage down a garden full of birds and birdsong 😊, yet only a few minutes from J45 on the motorway. We met Kelly and Liam, who are lovely and clearly go above and beyond to be perfect hosts. Lots of local sandstone in the buildings and garden, lending character and beauty. Facilities were perfect for our needs. Super clear instructions on everything, we read them and had a perfect stay.

Me and my wife booked this as a little break for my birthday, we wanted to try something different and wasn’t let down it was fantastic and something we will definitely do again and will definitely return here. The cabin was very clean and tidy and the view was stunning. Was great chilling in the hot tub with a beer looking over the fields. Was so peaceful with a lovely little town a short walk away. Thanks Stuart you will definitely see us again 😁

This is a great place to stay. Although located pretty close to the farm house, the place felt very private and remote. There’s not much else around and even being outside of the hut you’re just overlooking the farms fields. The hot tub is around the side of the hut and surrounded on 3 sides with the other overlooking the farm so nice and enclosed. When we stayed the field was filled with cows so the views were even better. Inside is lovely with everything you’d need ready and available. The little gifts upon check in were a lovely touch and very appreciated. If I’m ever in the area again I will be trying to book some time here

Absolutely loved this stay! Will definitely be going back! The views were breathtaking. The pod was clean and well maintained. All the added personal touches made it even more special! Would 100% recommend this to anybody looking for a break in the lakes! Thank you Jade!

Can’t fault the hosts at all, they were great in making sure all our needs were met and went above and beyond with special amenities and recommendations as soon as we arrived. The location and stay was amazing and we will definitely be back! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quite weekend away but still an easy walk to the pub!

Kevin was very fast on responding! The lodge was really easy to get into with clear instructions. Once inside, the lodge was huge and really clean! The location was beautiful, on the river which was calm and relaxing! There’s a little shop & a pub/restaurant too. Lots of walks around which are easily found on walking apps.

Previous comments too good to be true? NOT a bit of it! From start to finish (and including the amazing weather) this was a delightful 3 day break in the best of locations and the most comfortable accommodation. Sitting outside for breakfast and evening meal in April? That's a first. Stargazing. Wow! Superb walks (and golf). Easy parking. The friendliest of hosts. We'll be back. Many thanks.

Had an amazing time at the cabin, which is located perfectly in a beautiful tucked away part of the lakes with incredible views and walks right on the doorstep. Nicola was a wonderful host, exemplified by her all round helpfulness and willingness to get our electric toothbrushes back to us, which we unhelpfully left behind!

Lovely, peaceful stay. Close to the centre of Cockermouth and a walkable distance into the town centre. The electric fire was also lovely and kept the place lovely and warm

A really lovely stay. Even though it’s early in the season we loved the herb garden just outside. The cowslips on the table and breakfast ingredients were a lovely touch. Shower had good heat and power. Woodburner was super easy to use with kindling, newspapers and logs provided. For those bringing food it has everything you need, but note there’s no oven. Microwave and hob cover an awful lot of cooking options though. There’s a small icebox in the fridge too. Overall a lovely stay, only one comment being that I think the bed is foldable and when I sat down hard once I though I was about to be folded into the bed which gave me a little shock 😂 Ross was great.

We had a wonderful escape as a family, surrounded by stunning views, nature, and peaceful beauty. We especially loved the babbling brook just a stone’s throw away — such a relaxing spot to enjoy. The pods were spotlessly clean, cosy, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a perfect stay. Hannah is a fantastic host — communication was excellent throughout, and the Easter surprises along with the treat box were such a thoughtful and sweet touch. Thank you for making our stay so special!

Had a lovely 3 days at this gem of an Airbnb. Great communication and instructions from Bronwyn. Such a peaceful location with everything you need, the pictures don't do it justice! 5 minutes walk to a friendly pub that is good value and has big portions. Already thinking about returning.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a weekend getaway for her birthday and she loved it! Linden from the get go was a lovely host. She welcomed us to the property and talked us through the place and how to light the hot tub, she was extremely welcoming and very kind. She was also very responsive and assured us to message if we needed anything. The place itself had everything you’d need and we felt right at home. Tesco is a 2 minute drive away and theres some lovely pubs, beaches and towns nearby. The welcome pack also gives some routes and places to go nearby! The hot tub does take a while to heat up and it took us a minute to get the hang of but once you do its lovely. The horses in the field next to us were very friendly and it was just a very peaceful and relaxing getaway. Thank you!

Lovely place to stay for me and the dogs. Enclosed garden was ideal for them.
