Margo’s home was clean and inviting and we felt right at home. She always responded within a few minutes of messaging her and the book with all the restaurants and stores that were close was very helpful. The golf cart ride to the dock was fun and the hot tub very relaxing. This was our 2nd time staying here and we hope to stay again in the future.

I had a great time, my daughter enjoyed the jacuzzi. Only issue I had was with the fridge it wasn’t cooling as it should but other than that it was fabulous and I would definitely book again.

This little cabin was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. It was quaint, private and located on a calm lake where it was easy to relax. The whole team replied in a timely manner and they were very attentive. We also loved the hot tub and hope to come back again!

Hands down one of the best air bnb we have been to! We are from about 20 minutes up the road but were looking for something close but that felt far away and secluded! We got just what we wanted! The local winery is less than 5 minutes drive and was such a fun time. The hot tub was amazing! We didn’t use the grill hut looked like a very nice one! We had initially booked a month prior but something came up so had to reschedule and that was so easy! Being from not far, we have done Eno and Occoneechee trail walks which are good! We decided to drive to mayo lake and do a hike one day which was good! Overall, such a lovely experience! We woke up on our last day and driving how felt like we had just traveled far away for a weekend trip but it was only 20 minutes away! Would 1000 percent stay again!

This place is very beautiful within walking distance of one of the state parks in Henderson would recommend driving there, but it is in walking distance. This was perfect for a group of guys to get together to play airsoft at the state national Park. The only negative is that the beds were a little uncomfortable, but the aesthetic of the home is almost breathtaking. If you are staying here, I would recommend bringing a little mattress topper.

Jack was a very responsive host and quick to respond to our questions. The lodge was clean and the bedding smelled freshly washed. The great room was a wonderful place to be together as a family for an early Christmas and making memories. Jack is very accommodating and truly a super host.

I really enjoyed staying at this property. I was here for 4 months for work in town and had no issues. There are a good number of travel trailers on the property but the house is in the back corner so it still had a good sense of privacy. At night there are so many stars, you could sit up all night and still not count them all. There are chickens and roosters that roam the property and give it a wonderful sense of being in the country. The heating and air conditioning works wonderfully, the bed is very comfortable (maybe bring a pillow or two), the kitchen is minimal so maybe bring a grill or a plug in burner for cooking food, otherwise you're about 5-10 minutes from town. Shirley communicated great, if you ever have any issues she's quick to address it. I will definitely be staying here again if I ever come work in town again.

Stayed there with my wife and 5 children for thanksgiving. Wanted to just get away from everything for a few days and walk around the woods with my kids. Had a great time.

Perfect family getaway! Peaceful, serene, and relaxing. We enjoyed fishing and paddling in the pond, playing corn hole, playing board games and watching DVDs together. Did not miss the Internet or cable TV at ALL while we were there. The best sleep I’ve had all year because I was so relaxed. We will be back again!

Beautiful place, interesting history, great people, the hosts were more than willing to answer all of my questions about the history they knew of the area and were very kind and accommodating. They had lots of great local stories and recommendations for stuff to do, I’m definitely coming back!!

Had a great stay at Henry's cabin. Location is private, a really beautiful spot, right next to a pond and horses. Nice old, historic property. Accommodations in the cabin are fairly rustic, but had everything I needed - bed, shower, refrigerator, grill, etc. Probably the only thing I wish it has was WiFi - cell service is pretty limited there, so you end up being pretty off-grid at the cabin. You can drive up to the main house for some limited WiFi. All in all a nice stay, didn't have any issues, would stay here again if coming back to the area.

This place is heaven on earth. Check in was a breeze. The custom log cabin in beautifully appointed; dark wood and amazing lighting and artwork. The personal touches are so beautiful. Everything we needed was there, including in the kitchen. Spotlessly clean inside and out. Sadly I had to work remotely the entire time; internet made that happen seamlessly. The best part for us was the outside. Wraparound deck with a gorgeous view of the lake, with a charcoal grill and firepit. The floating dock was also immaculately clean and has chairs, at least one table, a "tiki bar", and even a little slide into the water for the kiddos if you go in the warm weather. I did yoga at sunrise on the dock, watching the sun come up over the river. Amazing. The hosts respected our privacy and were available for messages and responsive. I can't wait to return. Almost hate writing this review because I want it to be available next time we return. Five stars for sure. You're going to LOVE it!

Shane was an excellent host from beginning to end! The cabin is very private and peaceful with a great view of the lake and lots of amenities. I would definitely stay again.

Cathy’s place was extremely casual and well lived in. We felt right at home. I love that you could spread out. Everything was clean. I love the bonus of the back deck where we could sit and have happy hour every night. Thanks so much.

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway while also having a place with tons to do, this hidden gem is the place for you. The location is private while still close enough to Roxboro that you can quickly get to grocery stores and restaurants. The place itself was amazing and fantastic for kids. Gabe seems to have thought of every detail. I’m already looking to book our next stay!

This is my second booking; I wouldn't recommend any other property. Private, peaceful, and secure.
