Claytor Lake : locations de vacances adaptées aux familles

This is the second time that we have stayed with Donnie. The first time was in one of the cabooses. This time we stayed in The Depot. Both of these places were as described and pictured! I had good enough phone service that we did not miss having WiFi and there was cable for television. I had two children with me, an eight year old and a twelve year old, and they were both fine there! And we could look out the front door and see Buffalo Mountain. Because of Hurricane Helene damage, we did not get to go there but it was not for lack of trying! Sunday morning before we left, I got to see a deer in the pasture behind the depot! And some beautiful sunrises!

We wanted to do something unique & different for our anniversary & this did NOT disappoint. From the “main” road you can see the 3 red cabooses up on the hill & our hearts smiled. They recently had storms & we could see where the flood waters deteriorated the sides of the driveway but it was still wide enough for us to pass another small vehicle if needed. Office Check in was a breeze and took less than five mins before we were standing in our getaway train(caboose) which is on a real track! We were the only ones staying this weekend but if others were present, there was plenty of room. Our furbabies throughly enjoyed having a large field in front of the cabooses to run in. The views from the swings were breathtaking especially during the sunsets. Once Inside, we enjoyed the comforts of home (except for a stove). The hotness of the water & the relaxing hot tub added to our experience. Some things were dated but that is to come with the territory. We hope to visit again in the fall.

Giulia has a very nice apartment that was clean with plenty of room. Although close to town, there is a remote feel as the house is surrounded by woods - a definite plus for me.

Wonderful, clean, cozy place to stay for the weekend. Quiet and comfortable. Well stocked with everything needed. Looking forward to another stay here in a few weeks!

Shirleyann is a friendly and welcoming host with a quiet and peaceful property 10 minutes from downtown Floyd. The BnB is comfortable, clean, and has everything you need, including yummy breakfast foods in the fridge. We look forward to staying there again.

We had a blast staying out in the mountains. The peace and quiet was exactly what we needed. The A-frame cabin was beautiful inside and out. We could not have chosen any where better to stay for a weekend.

I had the most wonderful stay at Bliss Cabin, to say the least. From the initial photos of the writing desk and yoga deck, to the curious graveled path winding around the property lined with life and decorative details, I was totally immersed in the love and care that was so palpably present! Kathryn & Luke were absolutely lovely, so helpful, and incredibly accommodating! My recommendations while on the property: build and tend to a fire. Journal at the writing desk while playing Miles Davis. Take an early cold plunge in the river, do a round of Wim Hof breathing, then run up to take a hot shower at their beautiful abode. Chat with Luke, have tea with Kathryn. Do yoga on the deck. Say hello to the frogs. Express your inner musician with their drums and sound bowls. Let your soul free here!

Beautiful location, place as described. Jacuzzi was great. Lots of hot water. Good water pressure, good shower. Bed was comfortable. Donnie was helpful and responsive.

Aaron is an extremely responsive and helpful host. The home is well-appointed with technology/wifi, apple tv, extremely functional kitchen and a stocked coffee station! Wonderful stay visiting our 3 children who are students a Va Tech/Vet School.

Our honeymoon was truly enchanting! The cabin was beautifully decorated, immaculate, and equipped with every comfort for a romantic retreat. We adored soaking in the hot tub while admiring the breathtaking views. The serene setting and thoughtful details made our stay unforgettable, and the host’s exceptional hospitality topped it all off. Highly recommended for a dreamy escape!

Loved staying at Laura's place! It was perfect for our little family's needs. It had beautiful outside space for our pup and an awning for our little one to ride his bike while it rained. It was also a perfect spot in Mt Airy - super close to stores, downtown, touristy things to do!

This was our first time staying in a yurt, and it was amazing! We arrived at dusk and wished we had more time to explore the beautiful surroundings. We definitely want to stay here again!

A perfect Blacksburg retreat. We were doing one last trip with our senior before graduation! Loved being so close to downtown and having our pup with us! Easy walk to the restaurants and bars. House is super clean and well maintained! Thanks for a great stay!!

We absolutely loved this place. It was peaceful after a hectic day on campus but not to far of a drive. We absolutely loved the goats and the donkeys and perfect location for our two Goldens. Warren was great and a great host. We look forward to coming back for many years. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

We had an incredible stay at Gary & Loretta's cottage Thanksgiving weekend! We were in town for the Tech-UVa game and this place more than exceeded our expectations! Gary met us upon arrival and walked us through the house. The house is beautifully decorated, and they have thought of EVERYthing! We were able to take advantage of hiking their property on the well-maintained and marked trails. We were able to enjoy morning coffee with delicious cinnamon rolls that they provided for us. The beds and furniture were very comfortable, and the 4 of us truly loved the place. We are already planning on events we can go to in the future just so we can return! I was also impressed with the responsiveness to any questions we had and communication was outstanding! If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway, or just want to feel like you are at home, then look no further! Thanks again to both of you!

This was our second time we stayed at Donna’s Airbnb, and it was just as delightful as the first time! The location is beautiful with its view of the valley and the horses pasturing just outside the window. Donna has created a lovely and comfortable space inside with everything one might need. The refrigerator is stocked with milk and juice and she has left things like oatmeal and snack bars. Everything is impeccable! The fact that this paradise is just 5 minutes from Main Street is amazing! It feels like you are miles out in the mountains! I am sure that we will be staying here again in the future!

We enjoyed our stay while visiting our son’s at VT, this was our 2nd time staying here. Great location and place is comfortable and easy to get to.

We just stayed at the Dream Rock Silo bungalow for the 6th time, and every visit has been wonderful. Karen and Bill always make us feel like family. They are exceptional hosts, and their attention to detail and their creativity are amazing. The bungalow is super clean, comfortable, well-crafted, and beautifully furnished and decorated. Outside is always peaceful and relaxing with beautiful views, gardens, rocks, and a stream. We love the very friendly, entertaining shepherds, Max and Joe, who spend every waking minute on our covered patio and in the yard playing ball. The sweet older husky, Folger, also spends time with us and gives us a “lean in”. We rarely leave the property and didn’t leave at all this time. We’re already planning our next visit and can't wait to get back to Dream Rock.

A very quiet place to stay away from the city. We stayed there for business since we had a weeks worth of work in town and we couldn't have asked for a better location. David was really responsive and helpful. He's an excellent host.

Loved the area and the atmosphere around the home. We didn’t go anywhere but it was nice to just get away for a few days with my sisters. Definitely going to go again.
