Beautiful home with excellent views of the lake and valley--it was especially lovely as the leaves were turning. Also, the place has dark skies for star-gazing on a clear night. All rooms were clean and as-presented in the photos and description. Jeff sent some very helpful info and photos to help us drive in to the house--especially helpful since the last ~1 mile is on a private, relatively narrow road. Also, my Android Maps app on my phone was clearly sending me to the wrong location (i.e., not to the lake), so we relied on my spouse's I-Phone--which brought us right in. (Interestingly, Google Maps on my laptop had showed the correct location, but Google navigation on my phone was pointing elsewhere.) Recommend you pre-check your nav feature in advance of your arrival. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a serene location with great views and lake access.

Beautiful and peaceful place to rest for a weekend getaway. Very responsive and attentive host. The place and amenities were exactly as described. It was everything my husband and I needed for a night away after a game at Virginia Tech.

Gina’s place was incredible! It was plenty of space for 3 couples and both the home and property were beautiful. We really enjoyed the access to the pond right out the kitchen and spent much of our time on the dock. The stars were beautiful and we were able to see meteors from the Perseid Meteor shower. We were in town for the Galax Fiddlers Convention and it was a convenient location about 25 minutes from Galax. I highly recommend this stay and hope to return soon.

House was very clean . Everything you need for a comfortable stay was right there , even phone chargers! Bathrooms are brand new and super clean . Kitchen was well stocked, even had coffee for us. We loved making a big pot of coffee for everyone in the morning !! Lots of bedrooms . The road leading to the house was very narrow and hard to navigate at night but was fine during the day. We really enjoyed our stay !!

Had a lovely stay with our family and in-laws! Wish the lake was more swimable for our kids from the floating dock (lots of branches and pretty shallow). However, it was great for the kids to explore outside and use their binoculars! The beds were very comfortable, everything was clean and well cared for. We spent most of our time on the beautiful deck relaxing in the hammock and enjoying the view of the lake.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Beautiful scenery and great little getaway spot for a weekend! Joseph was very hospitable and helpful in making sure we had everything we need. We look forward to hopefully visiting again another time!

Luna's Trail is simply a magnificent location for peace and tranquility. We had attended a wedding there a few years ago and stayed in the main event hall. We returned this time with our family to join our extended family for Thanksgiving dinner at a relative's house about a 15 minute drive away. Now, it is definitely in the country so if you're expecting a hustle and bustle or a lot of choice in restaurants and entertainment near by this is not your venue. But if you're looking for a really nice cabin, quiet surroundings with lots of nature, spotlessly clean and well appointed, this is a wonderful location. Well we did not have the occasion on this trip to enjoy the restaurant, we know from our last visit that it is outstanding. We do highly commend the Luna's Mexican Kitchen restaurant a short drive away from the event center and cabin- Simply incredible and authentic cuisine! We felt that we got good value for money!

We get together with our friends and their children every year around Thanksgiving for a Friendsgiving. We met in college (VT) so this year we decided to attend the VT vs UVA game together. The cabin was great. Overall, we’d recommend this place to stay just a short while from VT.

Good location away from the town and great hospitality

Me and my husband had a great stay, we felt right at home. The house is right outside of Floyd, a very cute and quaint little town. I would highly recommend this place.

Jodi's place was great for our stay. Beautiful kitchen and everything was stocked. Hot tub is the best part!

Lordy, we loved this place. AMAZING windows and kitchen, incredible hosts who were kind and super-responsive, wood burning stove was a delight. We didn't turn the TV on for 3 days and didn't care a bit! Can't wait to be back in the summer!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was exactly what we were looking for. It was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed watching the wildlife in and around the pond. The home was spotlessly clean. We always cook when we are traveling and the kitchen was so well equipped for that. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life - this is the perfect spot! Alex was so helpful - communicated everything so clearly - and even allowed us to extend our stay when we hit a snag during our trip. I highly recommend Alex’s home - you will not be disappointed!

This is a beautiful, peaceful unique property. The view is stunning! Loved the fireplace. Clara was easy to work with and responsive. Kitchen could use a few more wineglasses and a bit of decluttering but would not hesitate to stay here again. Loved the area!

Beautiful lake views. The owner stopped by to drop off salt since we were expecting snow and ice which was very thoughtful. He also let us know we could park at the top of the driveway if needed. Will definitely look to stay here again.

We have stayed in this home for 3 years and absolutely love it. Its the perfect size for my small family. The home is always clean and we always try to leave it close to the way we got there. We enjoyed hiking, scootering, swimming, throwing footballs and frisbees, fishing, kayaking, and so much more. We caught 3 big catfish also! I can sit on the backporch and see the dock from there and thats great for this momma with young kids! Always a pleasure staying in this home. Thanks for another wonderful vacation. We will be back soon!

Nice little 'Get-away' place! The initial drive there is a bit intimidating but, as Madison explains, GPS takes you right there and finding it was pretty straightforward. You're going to want to stock up prior to arriving as it is a journey to get anywhere but the kitchen is well stocked with utensils so planning for the week is easy =]

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious home on Claytor Lake! It was very clean, and well stocked. We were just a family of 5 that weekend and didn’t even use the basement - this home would be ideal for a couple of families with all the space it has. I would love to go back in the summer to use all outdoor amenities the house had to offer.

Such a lovely host and we had a great time staying at his house! What a nice location on the river and lots of land for our dogs to run around.

We stay for a short period as we worked near by and wish it was longer. This home had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommended. Thank you Daniel and Ann!
