If you're looking to be surrounded by trees and to have a wonderful lake front view this a great place to check out. I highly recommend it for families that are looking for that cabin feel but with updated modern amenities. This place does it really well. The host was very responsive and helped us with all of our needs when asked. For the price you pay my whole family thought it was really worth it. We have paid more for less staying at other Airbnb's. During our stay the weather was pretty bad as it did not stop raining until the day we left so we did not even fully get to experience this place and we still had a great time! If I were to give any type of criticism for this place it is the amount of instruction notes that were placed at the cabin. I think we counted somewhere around 15 notes they had their purpose however; we felt it was in contrast to the atmosphere of the cabin. Overall though it was a great experience and we would definitely consider a return visit in the future.

This cabin was the perfect place for our family to celebrate the holidays together. The Christmas tree and decorations really added to our enjoyment. Keith and Leslie have taken the extra step to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay. We were especially impressed at how well stocked the kitchen is. Keith and Leslie are such wonderful and accommodating hosts. We look forward to returning again (perhaps when the weather is warmer, I would really have enjoyed having coffee on the front porch or watching the sun set before bedtime)!

Jim's place was serene, full of beauty, comfortable, relaxing and everything we needed for our Spring Getaway. If you don't mind being a bit of a drive away from restaurants and things to do and if you enjoy peace and quiet with nature everywhere you can see, this is the place for you. The listing included outdoor living - a front porch and back deck where you can observe nature around you; two ponds with geese and many birds around, deer and turkey sitings daily. There is also a mowed path around the large property that can be walked and enjoyed. If you just want to relax, there is a nice deck and hot tub as well. If you want to play, there is a Frisbee golf course and paddle boat in the pond. Indoors is equipped with all the dishes you'll need as well as a gas fireplace, large screen TV's, comfortable beds and a reclining sofa and chair. We will most likely be back again to enjoy all these things ourselves. Thank you for your hospitality!

We had a great time away from the city here. We enjoyed the state parks, and museums restaurants. The property is on an actively worked farm/ piece of land and off a main road so you will hear the occasional truck, tractor etc. If you want complete seclusion, be aware of that. The weather did not cooperate, so we do not get to enjoy most of the amenities the cabin offers but looking forward to doing so next time we book the same place!

This place was all Michelle described and more. It’s very private, peaceful and a beautiful cabin. Michelle was a great hostess and we will definitely be back.

This place was the perfect weekend getaway for our anniversary. We had plenty of privacy! So much to see! Deer and can't forget the cardinal knocking on our door one morning. Plenty around to explore and plenty to do at the cabin! Very clean and cozy. Pillows are soft so if you prefer firm bring one. We plan to come back. The farm fresh eggs are to die for!!! Host is super friendly and helpful!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. My kids said it was one of their favorite places to stay. They are already wanting to plan another trip! We enjoyed seeing the deer each night coming home and loved the peace and quiet. We went to get some ice cream from Flavors and would recommend it as well. Communication from the host was great.

This home is absolutely gorgeous! Driving up the main drive makes you feel like you're in the mountains! The surroundings are a dream. As soon as you step outside you can hear the birds, the stream flowing, and all that you want from nature. the home was well equipped and had everything you need for a great vacation. The kitchen was breathtaking. Every room had a beautiful view! The owner was very responsive and was quick to address all our questions. The home is beautiful and great for a group! We enjoyed having a bonfire at the fire pit and just spending time on the decks with each other. Walking the property was gorgeous. I wish we could have stayed longer!!

The cabin was just like the description. It was very clean and it felt just like home. It was so peaceful and quiet. I had a very nice stay with my family.

Excellent house, excellent amenities! Plus, there was all the little extra accoutrements that one would need that you don’t think of when you leave home. 5+ stars!

John's home is very lovely. We saw deer and birds at the pond. It was very peaceful and quiet. Great place to come home to after a long day at work.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was just what our family of 5 needed. We love staying in unique places a little off the beaten path, and this was just the place for us. It was close enough to the things we wanted to do, but far enough away to be peaceful.

This stay was awesome! we spent the weekend in Madison and this was the perfect place the wind down after being out and about. The temperature dropped a bit lower than expected but Scott proactively came over to fire up the boiler. The property was beautiful and it was fun arriving and leaving through the creek. We didn't spend much time in the yard but there appeared to be a nice fire pit with furniture near by. overall we had a great time, the only "heads up" I can give is the uneven floor in the cabin. based on the nature of log cabin there are multiple individual floor boards and there are a few that vary in heights. while we had no issues I could see small children or older adults having some troubles.

The cabin is located in a very peaceful location. Imagine Gatlinburg, but without the dangerous roads and bears. If you want to get away from your busy life and need some time with nature, this cabin is where it’s at!

Fun and private place to get away for a few days! As others have mentioned, the best part was sitting on the back porch in the morning taking in the peace and serenity of the forest. We saw deer, turkeys, squirrels, cardinals, bluejays, and other wildlife. The cabin was immaculate, with clear instructions on how use everything, including the fireplace (we didn't actually use it, but the instructions were there). It was also easy to find, GPS got us there no problem. Well thought out space. We enjoyed it! Thanks!
