We had a great stay at Dirk’s place. The area is very relaxing. Four restaurants nearby and a small mini mart. The house is right next to the entrance to the beach. The beach is spectacular. A few miles long, great surfing, wonderful sunsets, and not crowded compared to the beach at Tarmarindo. We stayed for two weeks. The first week we rented a car to do grocery shopping, etc. The second week we just relaxed using nearby restaurants and the beach. We enjoyed the pool when not at the beach. If you want to go to Tarmarindo it is about a 15 minute walk on the beach to the inlet that separates the two areas, you can then use the locals with their boats to cross. Cost $2 per person. Boats start at 8 and stop at 5. Dirk is a great host. He helped us with renting the car, and was generous with his recommendations. Look forward to returning.

Rodrigo’s place is amazing. The house is clean and comfortable, and the location is unreal. The views are amazing, and we loved having coffee on the balcony in the morning and watching the sunset over the ocean in the evening. Rodrigo is so responsive and helpful - we couldn’t have asked for a better host. Next time we’re back we will 100% stay here again.

We stayed at Diego’s place for 2 months (Jan & Feb) . It’s the best Airbnb we ever stayed. It’s located in the middle of his private jungle (4 acres), very secluded and peaceful, but close to restaurants, shopping and the beaches. The pictures are accurate and show the spacious, clean house full of light. Diego and Gabriela are wonderful hosts, very friendly and helpful. Their house is on the same property which made communication very easy with instant response. We enjoyed the wildlife from the back porch, many birds and the little monkeys playing in the trees.

Exceptionnel. Accueil organisé avec une dame qui explique la maison, on est à 10 min max à pied de la plage. Les shampoings et savons sont bio et rechargeables, la démarche écologique est appréciée. La maison est plus belle que sur les photos, le jacuzzi est super, bref , une pépite.

Melissa and Phil were fantastic hosts! Their communication was excellent from the moment we booked until we checked out. Their home had all the facilities we needed and more, including a great gym and an amazing pool. The smart bed was truly mind-blowing - we've never slept better! The location was perfect for us, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas, in a friendly and safe community. We highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful home- clean, great neighborhood! Paula (host) was responsive. Paulina (concierge) was helpful - set up massages, airport transportation, and would have planned additional activities if requested. Upon check in, the casita had not been prepared for my MIL, but once I sent a message to Paula she came right over and assisted in gaining entrance to casita and having it cleaned right away (just mentioning this in case future renters require use of that space as we did - I didn't know to mention before arrival- the casita was an important decision making component when looking for lodging). Short walk to neighborhood beach and chairs and beach stuff onsite OR walk/bike/drive to Club de Playa- 2mi (part of Hacienda Pinilla) to use pool, beach and food/bar service & gym (this is an additional daily fee per person - was $35pp for our stay except on Jan 1 increased to $45pp for 2025). JW Marriott resort is less than 3/4mile walk. We ate dinner there 3 nights!

We stayed in this beautiful location for a month with our family. The house and location provided everything we needed in terms of space, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, close access to the beach and town. The pool was a key feature on hot days and great for the grandchildren. An extra bonus was having Victor (gardener and security) on the property at all times. He was so helpful to our family. We will miss him dearly. We had the most wonderful vacation in Playa Coco and staying in this AirBnB made things so easy for a family of 10.

This is a wonderful location in Tamarindo near Playa Longosta. Cassie and Rob were very responsive and helpful with great recommendations in the area. They were also very accommodating with some last minute changes we requested. The home is located at the "end" of the main portion of Tamarindo so you are so close to all the action without the noise and chaos of the downtown area. We rented a golf cart while staying and it was no more than 7 minutes to ALL the activities we were interested in. (I would highly recommend surf lessons from Iguana Surf). You can easily get to multiple beach locations and have easy access to a quieter beach area just across the street from the home. Everything you could need is accessible in the house and the night security guard was a nice feature although we felt safe the entire time. While this home is not directly on the beach, you will not be disappointed with its location, amenities or surroundings, I promise.

Highly recommended this airbnb!! From the moment I messaged the owners about booking until drop off at the airport when our stay was over, the communication from Todd and Marco was outstanding!! The house is amazing and had everything we needed and more. Perfect for 2 couples (with or without children) with the 2 masters on opposite ends of the house. We did not need the bunk room but we were very impressed with the design!! We spent most of our time on the back deck . . . Admiring the beautiful view (sunsets were WOW!), reading on the loungers, relaxing in the pool or playing cards at the beautiful wooden table. When we did want to venture out, Marco was more than happy to hook us up with a fishing boat (highly recommend), helping organize the private chef (again, highly recommend) or letting us know about good local restaurants. Renting the super spiffy golf cart was definitely a good choice. It got us everywhere we needed to go. Again, I cannot recommend this place enough.

Our family absolutely loved Mariela’s place. It is extremely comfortable, with wonderful amenities. The house is gorgeous, and the pool and surroundings are incredible. The beds are comfortable and the outdoor showers are amazing. Most importantly, Mariela is an outstanding host, with great communication before and throughout our stay. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Tamarindo area.

Hotel Balu really feels like a getaway within the paradise of Costa Rica. The rooms are private, clean and secure and the amenities are ample. The property is beautiful - the pools are really neat and the yoga shala and large community dining area are well equipped and really make it easy to meet other guests and foster a sense of community and Pura Vida. We admittedly had a hiccup with check-in due to some unplanned repairs, but Logan was understanding and apologetic about the situation and worked with me to make it right with very little issue. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the stay and will be sure to recommend it to friends!

Casa Nikita was just as we had hoped. Anastasia is wonderful and easy to communicate with. We will come again!

Die Unterkunft von Paul ist ein kleines Juwel, eingebettet in die umliegende Natur. Vor allem die Ruhe, die freundliche Kommunikation und den Kontakt zu Pauls Tieren haben wir sehr zu schätzen gewusst. Wer hier übernachtet, sollte aber keine Berührungsangst haben, was Hunde, Spinnen, Eidechsen und Frösche anbelangt :) Perfekt für Naturliebhaber und Menschen, die gerne campen 🏕️

Una casa bien amplia y cómoda en el pueblo de playa Panamá que permite fácil acceso en pocos minutos a las playas cercanas. El vecindario es bastante seguro aunque un poco ruidoso por la gran cantidad de mascotas y sería muy bueno que se aprovisionaran con luces de emergencia en caso de cortes de fluido eléctrico.

Great lodging here. The treehouse is charming and full of character. The surroundings are filled with nature and beautiful animals (including the separate and well-attended doggie rescue). This was a very pleasant retreat and I would return there if I was back in that side of Guanacaste. Also, the beaches are close from a driving perspective.
