Rocky Acres is a charming little cottage tucked in one of the few seemingly flat area up a mountain side. We were greeted with many deer the first morning there (around 15 or 16). I enjoyed petting amd talking to the horses there. Later on, we wandered up the path to the very large moss covered boulders there on the property. We found prickly pear cactus nestled in the moss there. This place seemed to be pulled from a fairytale. The house is just 10 mins or so from Desota Park and not very far at all from Desota Falls, Little River Falls,1 a and Fort Payne. GPS doesn't recognize the adress. It brought us to the end of the road, but no farther. However, Derek had sent detailed instructions, and we found the house with no problems. We had a minor problem come up, and Derek fixed it very quickly. The road to the house is steep and a bit rough, but we took it slow and made it fine. We definitely would stay here again.

Catherine was a wonderful host! We booked last minute and her and her cleaner made everything work out perfectly for us! Any problems we had she answered within minutes and was proactive in getting anything she could done for us! We will definitely look forward to staying again

Our group was there for fishing tournament. This Airbnb, by far, has been the most accommodating to fishermen with boats. Our group had five trucks with five boats and we have never found a place til now that we we have all been able to park at with the circle drive and carports. Planning to book here every year if available because that is a bid deal for us. We enjoyed the pool table as well. Very peaceful location and house was very clean. Beds were all comfy. Hosts was was friendly and quick to respond to any questions we asked. We have stayed at a few other Airbnbs in the area that are nice as well but this has become our new favorite. Thank you for allowing us to be your guests.

My family and I cannot stop talking about this place. We fell in love with it as soon as we drove up. The amount of space you have to roam outside between the yard, the creek and the hay fields...that place is MAGIC. We had some very happy pups and daughter. This cabin and it's property are stunning. We were so sad to leave. The fire pit and hot tub were also amazing. We did try our hand at disc golf too (we weren't good). I hope everyone gets to meet Jack! He is the friendliest of cats and loves to talk. We loved him! The amenities Sandy provided from dish soap, hairdryers and farm fresh eggs to all the makings for smores, help make this place feel like home. Thank y'all for everything! We hope to keep coming back!

Great place for a weekend getaway!!

This is an amazing and cosy cabin with tonnes to do, and with a well stocked kitchen and bathroom. We came as a group of 8, and although it was a little snug at times, we loved it and had a great time. We would highly recommend it!

Just stayed at Live, Laugh, Lake for a girl's weekend. I cannot say enough about the property. The location and house are both absolutely stunning. The check-in was seamless using the keypad lock code. The house was spotless, well decorated, and well stocked. I truly appreciated the small things like additional rolls of toilet paper, dish soap, laundry soap, cleaning supplies, etc. Also, the kitchen was completely stocked with tons of cooking utensils, a blender, pots and pans, a crock pot, etc. There was nothing that needed to be brought from home. The beds were comfy and the upstairs bunk room is just fantastic. It was a trip of all grown women and we were enchanted with sleeping up there! We were only there for a couple of days and it was freezing so we didn't explore the boat house and dock, but I can imagine how wonderful this place would be in the summer. Already planning for next year!

My husband, our doggie, and I had a fantastic vacation! We felt right at home with the comfortable furniture, the cute decorations, and how dog friendly the property was. We all enjoyed the fenced in backyard and the great location. We walked downtown and hiked Little River Canyon National Preserve, Desoto State Park, Noccalula Falls Park, Cherokee Rock Village, High Falls Park, Lake Guntersville State Park, and Buck’s Pocket State Park. My husband and I also visited the Cathedral Caverns. The house is centrally located with so many trails, overlooks, and waterfalls nearby, not to mention excellent restaurants! Everything was perfect.
