The Inn at Pine Plains hosted by Patricia was great for our long weekend stay (couple with son & dog), the room was cosy and exceptionally clean and tidy. The location is close to walking trails, a beautiful drive to the Catskills and nearby to restaurants. It had a lovely dining space and had everything we needed should we have stayed longer. There is a large lawn backyard that our son and dog loved running around in each morning.

Tim was a very kind, easygoing, and communicative host. The home had a ton of character and the outside spaces were so beautiful--lots of little animals running around and beautiful foliage! Loved the chill vibe of the place, the views, and the activities around the space like badminton. Definitely plan to go back!

Hard to capture the spirit of the Summinski in words, you really have to experience it. Truly one of the most unique places I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting and so wildly aligned with its place. Tim is gracious, friendly and very at ease. The breakfast spread is outstanding. The view of the Catskills across the Hudson is inescapable, especially at sunset during the summer. If you’re lucky, a hootenanny might materialize on a weekend evening. You’ll no doubt find a book or piece of art that piques your curiosity, likely another guest or two as well. If you’re heading to Tivoli and really want to get a feel for the place, stay here. If, on the other hand, you’re just passing through or don’t really care all that much, stay somewhere else and let others hold the space. You’ll get as much out of this spot as you put Innski.

Tim was a great host. He truly made his home open to us. His information on the Empire State Trail was spot on. As a cyclist it was nice to talk to a fellow enthusiast.

Nos hôtes sont charmants et proposent une demeure d'exception à mon sens. A juste quelques minutes en voiture de la voie rapide qui relie Montréal à New York, cet endroit isolé offre nature et calme absolu, les bois sont partout. La maison offre un charmant confort, tout est soigneusement decoré et, à l'image des hôtes, très chaleureux (lire au coin du feu de bois dans le salon est tout simplement trop trop bien) Les collations sont laissées à discrétion dans la partie commune, ce qui est super sympa, et le petit déjeuner est fabuleux, avec un plat cuisiné minute proposé en plus des choses plus classiques. Je ne peux que recommander. Pour notre stop entre NYC et Montréal, nous sommes convaincus d'avoir fait le meilleur choix. Vous aussi, allez y! 👍🏻👍🏻

The Sheffield was great! From check in to check out! Susan was the best hostess! Even with my hectic schedule with an early rise, she was always there to greet me with a smile and a hot to go coffee. Was so very kind and welcoming to my dogs! We’ll definitely be returning next time we have a sheepdog trial in the area! 😊

A beautiful location tucked away from the road. Susan clearly enjoys what she does and goes above and beyond to accommodate—plus spoiling us with a lavish breakfast every morning!

Susan graciously accommodated us during the busy holiday season and her house was spacious enough for our group of two families with kids. The house is easy driving distance to Butternut for skiing as well as other spots in the Berkshires. Breakfasts were made from scratch and included multiple options. Susan was also kind enough to quickly reach out when we'd left behind an item of sentimental value—we really appreciated it.

Had a great time staying at the Sheffield Inn! Susan was very welcoming and made sure all of our needs were met during our stay. She was available when we needed her but also respected our space and gave us privacy. She coordinated breakfast with us every day of our stay, which was absolutely delicious! Our room, bed linens, and attached bathroom were clean and the space was tastefully arranged. We also brought our 2 dogs which were openly welcomed by the host. Highly recommend this place!
