My wife and I stayed at the The Golden Basecamp for our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing. So peaceful and quiet, 10 min drive from downtown Golden. We had one incredible night of watching the Aurora borealis dance above us, and not to mention the countless outdoor activities surrounding the area. Thank you for making it truly special!

Had a great comfy stay at Bev and Alan’s place .Looks exactly as described in listing . We will be back for sure in future.

The cabin and location exceeded our expectations. The view is stunning and the space was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Leanne gave detailed instructions and everything was smooth and easy. Would highly recommend.

Linda and Al were such kind and generous hosts and we loved our time at the cabin. It was so serene being surrounded by ginormous trees and mountains painting the landscapes right as you step out of the front door of the cabin. To make it even better, there was a pig, majestic horses and some incredibly friendly dogs that greeted us and protected us. Everyday, it was a nice surprise to have the dogs run up to us and try to play or get our attention. The cabin itself is very cozy and comfortable - it is perfect for two people and it heats up really well and gets toasty in the winter. The wood cabin, all the decorations, and even the dishes all perfectly matched the setting we were in and it was a lovely stay. We would love to be back!

Cordwood Chalet, You’re Beautiful! We couldn’t be more pleased to have the opportunity to stay here for the weekend. It was Nicole’s 30th Birthday and this cabin checked all the boxes for the perfect weekend getaway in the woods, it certainly did not disappoint. We spent some time by the fire and ate pies for Pi Day the first night (Pie Junkie, if you’re from Calgary you already know :)). The views are amazing and the silence is a reminder that taking time away can be very grounding and that conversation goes a long way without the distractions of cellphones, TV’s, and emails. We spent our second night by the fire again, but tested our cooking talents with a lasagna recipe we forgot to write down. We really enjoy how the natural light reaches all of the spaces in the cabin, makes you feel immersed in all the beauty surrounding the property. Nic & Jay

What an incredible stay, it was the perfect way to finish off our 2 week honeymoon. The cabin is perfectly secluded but super easy to access all the amenities Julie has on offer, including Archery which was great fun on our last day. Although we didn’t see a bear, we were treated to the most amazing northern lights we’ve ever seen-it was mind blowing! The cabin also has phone reception (just) if you sit on the bed upstairs!

Nous avons passé une super semaine de février 2025 dans ce petit Chalet. Les consignes et indications très clairs nous ont permis de trouver notre chemin du premier coup margés la nuit et la neige qui venait de tomber. Bien que le chemin ai été déneigé, notre petit SUV Walkwagen AWD qui nous a bien été utile pour les 200 dernier mètres. Le parking sous le auvent du chalet permet de décharger nos bagages au sec. De plus un petit feux de cheminé nous attendait , c'était vraiment extra. Le chauffage électrique est aussi très efficace. Nous étions une famille de 4. Nous sommes installé dans la chambre et nos deux enfants de 17 et 20 ans se sont installés sous les toit au dessus du salon. Attention de ne pas se cogner la tête là haut. Mais c'est super cosy ; les enfants ont adorés. Juste un petit conseil pour la cheminée : Une petite fiche pratique pourrait être un plus pour les utilisateurs non habitués. Encore Merci Christina. Comfy, affordable, and convenient! Just note that if you don’t have a car sometimes the mountain shuttle coming from town is full by the time it gets to Mackenzie village - and you have to wait for the next one or call a taxi. Otherwise, cute spot.

A great little Air BnB with very welcoming hosts. Value for money was great and the space is comfortable and situated between the ski area and the town. We borrowed some bikes for a 5 min ride into town which was really easy. A short drive to the ski hill too (the accommodation is on the right side of town for that). Sauna and hot tub were great. The only thing to note (if it bothers you) is that the shower is in a shared bathroom. You have your own toilet and basin so not a big issue. We’d definitely come again!

Frances was super nice and helpful and reached out about a week before our trip. She let us know there was construction which might increase the time it takes to drive in which was helpful to know. She responded almost immediately when we had questions. The cabin was chilly on arrival but has two space heaters and a wood fireplace, with wood and fire starting supplies right out front on the front door on the deck. The cabin is only 10 minutes from town with great pubs and little cafes. The only thing I would be mindful of is if you plan to take trips to Banff or Yoho, which we had planned, the trip is much longer (around three hours) when highway 1 is closed. Not sure how long they plan to have construction there. Often times the highway opens up on the weekends though. So just make sure you plan accordingly!

We had a great stay in the cabin! We mostly stayed inside and were able to play cribbage and sip a cozy beverage by the propane fireplace. It had everything we needed and although compact, very functional.

Lois’ place was very cozy and clean, and the kitchen had many cooking supplies and utensils. The cabin had many amenities and Lois was very responsive and checked in throughout the day. Would definitely stay here again :)

I had a wonderful long weekend at Mark & Marie's cabin. Mark and Marie were very responsive and helpful ahead of my arrival. The property was spotless and well stocked; they had everything I needed to cook out on the grill and had plenty of linens. There is a little convenience store about 5 minutes south that had ice, local veggies and lots of other non perishable food items. I stopped at the grocery store in Golden on my way to the cabin to stock up on most of what I needed and didn't have to leave the property once I got there. I was traveling with two dogs and they had a great time running on the trails and being out on the deck. The property is beautiful, cabin unique and made for a fun & adventurous stay. The fire place keeps the cabin very cozy, solar power was sufficient for me to get work done when needed, and my cell phone worked fine at the property so I didn't feel completely off the grid. I highly recommend staying at this property & hope to do so again.

Charmante Tiny house avec une vue incroyable sur la montagne! Les petits plus ont été apprécié (shampooing, savon, café, thé…) toujours pratique. La maison était impeccable, très propre et tout est bien disposé pour la grandeur de celle-ci. Parfait pour nous: un couple et un enfant. Je recommande

It was a beautiful cabin in the woods! Check in was a breeze and the place was very clean and super cosy. Washer and dryer were very useful as well. We loved the loft and watching the sunrise every morning! Kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials you would need and the appliances were all brand new. Dustyn made very good recommendations and was very responsive as well. We would highly recommend staying here if you want a unique holiday experience! Thank you for hosting us :)

This is a great chalet with beautiful mountains out front. The chalet is roomy, nicely laid out and was perfect for us and our dog. The kitchen had everything you need… tons of dishes, quality pots and pans and cooking oil, some spices etc. Highly recommend Tina’s place. She is VERY easy to reach for any questions. There are many other similar chalets in this complex but we did not hear anything from the neighbours. Thanks for the great stay!

Fantastic stay from March 8-15, beautiful one bedroom cabins that were clean and new. Didn’t notice the noise from the hwy very much, but did on occasion. The hot tub was perfect after a long day and met some very amazing people there.

This cabin was exactly I needed. I loved how private and secluded it was. I travel quite regularly and I do mostly stays in cabins like Luise's. But Louise's cabin was by far the most cosiest one. I loved that there was a plenty of firewood outside ( I got to practise my choppin skills with an axe) :D And had the possibility to have an outdoor fire under the stars. I did appreciated that there was no wifi or reception, which helped me to disconnect with the outside world and enjoy ME time by the fire and read a book. I hope I stick around as I would love to come back for a longer weekend. Thank you Louise

My brother and I were finishing our BC ski tour of 5 ski resorts and previously we stayed between 2 and 3 nights at each resort location. This beautiful, new, clean, and cozy cabin was our last accommodation and was absolutely the best of all five locations. It is a about 10 minutes from Golden however there is local taxi service available which we found convenient for transportation for dining and entertainment in Golden. We highly recommend this accommodation.

This is exactly what we needed! A cozy place to unwind with a beautiful view! Beautiful surroundings and quiet neighbourhood. Cindy & Paul gave us clear instructions how to get into the cabin and place was easy to find! Lots to do around. Highly recommended, can’t wait to visit again :)

Absolutely the most amazing stay we’ve had ever! Everything was exactly as was stated in the description. We loved how peaceful it was and quiet. The river behind babbling was such a delight and being able to walk to the waterfall for a morning coffee was our favourite thing to do! Both Gaelle and Tim were amazing and so friendly. From the second that we booked Gaelle was on top of providing us information and was so friendly. If you like peace, quiet, private, the mountain air, and a little labor to get fires going you will not be disappointed staying here! Thank you to Gaelle and Tim so much!

What a lovely place! Super cosy and fantastic attention to detail. The cabin has everything you could need and stuff you didn’t even know you needed! We enjoyed making up the wood burner on a chilly evening. To eat out, we would recommend the Indian Kitchen and the Island restaurants in town.
