We had to come into town for a funeral and our original house didn't work out. The other house canceled right before we got on the road and we were able to book this at the last minute. These hosts were very accommodating and responsive! They made sure the driveway and sidewalks were cleared from snow and put down extra salt. The house has a beautiful view of the lake, even in the winter, and it was the perfect relaxing spot for me and my family. It is spacious, clean and cozy. Would recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Great privacy, cozy house and we loved the amenities of the fire pit and paddle boat. It was perfect for bringing our little one too, with a crib and toys available! We should have brought binoculars for all the cool birds and ducks we saw. There were even swans on the lake! I wish we could have stayed longer. The nearby town of Holly looks like it came straight out of a hallmark movie! It was so cute and had really amazing antique stores as well as some really great little restaurants we were able to try. I would move to this area in a second if I could!

Our stay at Vivian's beautiful lake house was a long series of pleasant surprises. Where most airbnb's have the bare minimum of cooking supplies, her kitchen was fully stocked, with every appliance and spice you'd need for home cooking right at hand. The beds were comfortable, the sheets spotless, the bathrooms were pristine, and the whole house had a clean and welcoming feel that only comes from dedicated work. The lake equipment was extensive, and allowed us to make many treasured memories out on the water. And to top it all off, she left a platter of homemade chocolate chip cookies on the counter as a welcoming gift. We would happily stay here again, I can't emphasize enough how well kept this house is.

We were very pleased with the place and the host, the area is a little run down. All things considered I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again at this place. Very spacious and updated.

I really enjoyed my stay at the house, it was in a perfect location for me, super easy to find, and simple easy check in and check out, Mateos's was always available if needed and always very responsive to any messages or communication we had during my stay, he was a great host and I would highly recommend staying here and I would certainly stay again if I'm back in the area and the home is available, especially in the summer with the home having a pool, it is winter now and the home was great it would be over the top with the pool in the summer, a great place to stay!

Great experience! Cute and cozy little spot but close to so many things in Royal Oak. House was clean, local recommendations were helpful, and very easy check in and check out process. We would stay here again!

Cute modern lake (Tiny) house with many amenities. Probably the cleanest rental I’ve stayed in so far. The hosts were accommodating to our needs! Traveling with a baby, this house was perfect for us. Would definitely stay again.

Lisa was a wonderful host and even met us at the door when we arrived to make sure that we were settled in okay and knew how everything worked. She checked in throughout the stay just to make sure everything was okay which I appreciated. I would gladly stay here again as it was the perfect location for when we come to visit Lapeer. We were very happy to find Laura's Airbnb when we came to stay for one night while we went to a convention with our family. It was very clean and quiet with lots of amenities including breakfast. Both hosts were very nice and easy to get a hold of we had no issues. We did contact them beforehand to let them know we were close and they met us promptly to show us where we were staying. The guest book was very clear about stay expectations and wonderful suggestions of areas to visit. We would definitely stay again if we were visiting the area.

My husband and I were looking for accommodation close to my best friend's wedding venue and home when we discovered Michael and Patti's rental. The place was easy to find, comfortable, and they were wonderful hosts. The mornings were beautiful and peaceful, filled with the sounds of birds. Annie’s sweet apartment was perfect for a weekend in Ann Arbor for our family of 4! The kids especially enjoyed walking to the park across the street!

My sister and I had a peaceful long weekend at Fish Tales. It was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake. It was fun to take the kayaks out and just RELAX. The cottage was a short drive to the swim race location at Half Moon lake that we were visiting for. If you are looking for a peaceful spot with beautiful views this is for you,

My brothers and I with our significant others always get together for a weekend at the Renaissance Festival in Holly and this was literally the perfect cabin for us - close enough that we could go to and from if we needed a break during our long days at the Faire and peaceful enough at night to come back to and relax or play games like we love to do together. Plenty of space that we could all have beds and felt cozy. The lake is beautiful this time of year and even was warm enough that we could have swam after if we wanted or weren’t warn out from our long days. Parking was easy to figure out even with four vehicles. Host was responsive and super helpful and even allowed us to check in early when we realized that we would rather all drive in together last second. (Whoops! Poor planning on my part.) There was even provided water which was lovely as well, and a really nice touch when it comes to well water! Thank you so much and we will be back!

Our stay was wonderful! I stayed at the cabin for the weekend with friends. We were competing in a horse show in the area and were gone most of the day but I wish we had more time to spend at the campground. The area was beautiful and peaceful by a lake. I would have loved to just spend the entire weekend there and hope to go back with family in the future. There was a lot to do with great amenities. You could go out on the lake with paddle boats or go hiking. The cabin that we stayed in was a good size for four people. We had a great time and would recommend.

Could not have been happier with our stay here. Anne has created and maintained a very special feeling of place in this cottage. We enjoyed every minute of being here, even jumped in the lake! The cottage intuitively resets your way of living, if even for just a few days. Life slows down…sleep is deeper. The crickets louder. There is a grocery store less than ten minutes away (and Instacart can get you a Target run as well) The kitchen is so nice to cook in, and believe me, you won’t want to leave this place for dinner. We cancelled reservations because we wanted to stay in more. Best sink ever for dishes. Quiet, Simple, Morning and Afternoon Light, Long Stares at the water. Sounds of nature. Home cooked meals. Best dirt roads with wildflowers nearby if you need just one other thing to do. If your life needs this, do that here in this cottage.

I was very pleased with this booking. Jerald was a lovely host. The house is gorgeous and clean. Jerald has an eye for decorating and everything was beautiful. I love to read and loved the book selection! We felt very safe and the outside area was beautiful. There are lots of beautiful song birds and other critters around and in the canal. I would definitely book this place for a long weekend and would love relaxing on the deck or by the fire pit with a book from the house! It is a perfect location for any activities in Detroit, or for an extended stay. Highly recommend!

The Lodge was a great place for our family to stay for a family wedding! We had a great experience, very close to lovely Clarkston! Dan was really great. The lodge was a great place fore us to gather and relax for this fun event. Hanging out during the day as well after events. It was great!

This was my first time renting a "cabin in the woods" and it is a living arrangement I have been fascinated with for some time. As a city boy I was initially a bit freaked out by some of the noises and the darkness at night, not something I am used to. But once I worked out what the noises where, which is mostly peacocks calling in the woods, I relaxed a lot. I was in the area for business as I have multiple customers within 30-45 minutes of Ortonville, so it made a real change to be able to have some space, privacy and more facilities than the normal, boring and uninspiring hotels I stay at in Livonia! The cabin is easy to find, the facilities are as described and Annalisa was the perfect host, providing lots of local information on places to visit and where to eat. I will not hesitate to stay again!
