This house is a gem! I came to stay a week in off season with my dog, Rollo. The location is breathtaking, right on the Long Island Sound. We had a great time exploring the beach, looking for all the biodiversity in the birds and sea creatures, watching the boats, and this place is relatively close to an airport so watching the planes land and take off was awsome as well. We came for privacy, and I expected the beach to be a little more private than it was due to my dog's reactivity. But the neighbors did not seem to have issues with us, and once you are close to the water, especially in low tide, the beach is pretty open for all the locals. Walking around, the locals all waved and said hello. Not too many restaurants close by, but the Lobster Shack down the road had good food! Would stay again! The deck alone was worth it!

We had a great stay at this cottage- it was a perfect size for our family and was extremely clean, warm and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the quick walk to the beach, and proximity to town. Hosts were very friendly and responsive but never intrusive. Would highly recommend.

The house is absolutely beautiful! Matthew was a great host and was very responsive and respectful. We will absolutely be back. Highly recommend waking up for the sunrise, beautiful!

We were so happy with everything throughout our stay! The house had everything we needed including some extras for our kids that we hadn’t thought of! The furniture was really comfortable, and they had nice new beach stuff for us to use as well. We loved Walnut Beach and being able to walk to get coffee and ice cream. Highly recommend!

Rented this for six weeks while working in the area, was perfect. I enjoyed it very much. Lots of space everything you could possibly need even down to the toothpaste and brushes, you could seriously just show up completely unprepared and you would have an excellent stay. If I am back in the area for long term again this will be my first search.

Lisa’s home is incredible! Beautiful, clean, organized, and a great place to stay for families or group gatherings. Lisa is proactive with communication and shared great recommendations. Best part- watching the sun rise over the water from the patio! And great coffee shops and restaurants walking distance from the home.

The house was perfect ! It was exactly how it was described and shown in the pictures. The location is right on the beach and we got to enjoy the most amazing sunset! We took full advantage of the hot tub that is right on the deck overlooking the beach ! It was so nice to come back from being out all day and relax in it ! Matt and Celia are great hosts ! They responded so quickly to our questions about the area and suggestions for dinner etc . The location is perfect to visit Yale and downtown New Haven but also close to Branford and the other quaint towns on the water . We highly recommend staying here if you are in the area! 5 stars !

The place matched the description perfectly and much more spacious than what one usually finds for a single bed/bath apartment. I enjoyed the stay and would return again. For me it was a perfect place to accommodate overflow thanksgiving guests over the holiday.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and hope to return. It is perfect for our family of ten. Six adults and four children. There is something for everyone. There are outdoor activities and indoor activities. The children's books were upgraded this year and a big hit. The pool is delightful and Tyson was proactive in making sure the temperature was right. The house is clean. It has everything you need with no added clutter. Anne was generous in allowing us to stay a bit later when checking out and we appreciated it.

This day was exactly what me and my little family needed for my birthday weekend. It was private it was peaceful. The host was very responsive and accommodating to all needs and very understanding. We definitely will be booking again. Can’t wait till next time.!

Classic charming beach house, updated with all the amenities. great views of the water and unbeatable sunrises. 2nd floor deck was very enjoyable for morning coffee made at the coffee bar owner was very responsive when a smoke detector needed a battery as extras were on site and she responded very quickly to a message for help. Family room was the hub of our activity with a generous dining table and views from the open kitchen. Heat/AC kept us comfortable on the chilly mornings. House is on quiet street a few houses from the Restaurants start a few blocks away and a short drive.

Katie’s home was beautiful, immaculately kept and exactly as photographed and described. We rented the home for a family reunion and needed all 8 of the bedrooms that were available. Even though we were a very large group with many kids ages 10 and under, we never felt uncomfortable or on top of each other. The two living rooms and outdoor space made it so that we all could spread out but still spend time together. The large dining room table fit our family perfectly! Katie was responsive, thoughtful and so very kind! We are looking forward to our next stay at Katie’s beautiful home!

We had a wonderful stay! The house can accommodate large family gatherings - there were a lot of spaces for folks to spread out as well as gather. The kitchen is very well stocked. We would definitely rent again!

Carlos and Sara are wonderful hosts and communicators. Their family friendly home was perfect for our needs. The beds are super comfy and linens and quilts extra clean. We didn’t cook in but if we did the kitchen was well stocked. The waiting basket of treats was a big hit with the kiddos. Thank you Carlos and Sara!

We continue to visit Rose’s house for our yearly weekend girls getaway. It’s the perfect cozy beautiful place to catch up with friends and relax. Rose is an amazing host!

Victor's was an exceptional host who went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay - and was very attentive to all the details. And his home was lovely - right on the LI Sound. Great place to stay and unwind wiht family!

Great location on wide, beautiful, private beach! Lots of outdoor space on beach and patio with grill for BBQ. Kayaks and SUPs were at provided, too. House is surprisingly spacious with seating for many in living room and dining table. Kitchen is large and supplied with basics needed for stay. Primary bedroom is huge and all the beds are very comfortable! Jillian was great with communication. Had a great time with our family spending days on beach, grilling dinner and bonfires at night!

We had a wonderful time! The cottage is well located; we were able to drive back & forth to New London, Mystic, & several other towns. We did so many things on this trip: saw a movie, saw a play, went to Ocean Beach twice, Mystic Seaport, & the Yale Peabody museum. My only complaint is that we should have stayed "home" more & enjoyed our own beach more often! We took walks every day and watched for the tide to reveal the sand bar & walked out there whenever we could, which was so cool! The sound of the water changed when the sandbar was revealed. We found lots of cool shells. We really appreciated the chairs & umbrella in the well stocked shed. We did a little grocery shopping and made egg sandwiches so we only ate out once a day which saved money. I ate my sandwiches outside day & night, something I never do at home. The house was completely stocked with everything needed plus some! The only negative was not enough curtains which made it too bright to sleep & not enough privacy.

Nice place to stay. Responsive host. Accurate photos and loved the location. Will definitely be back.

We stayed here for a wedding at The Burr Mansion, which was extremely close to the house! The house was clean and updated. A few spots to walk to including a local bar. Just a walk to the beach. Bedrooms are all spacious and were very clean. Would definitely stay again.

The house has beautiful sunset views, quaint neighborhood, centrally located with easy access to stores, restaurants, excellent communication and response time from host.

I was in town for a family event and wanted something other than a hotel room. The home was cozy and inviting, instructions were clear and precise. Being late October the weather was unbelievable warm. We (me and 2 sisters) were able to enjoy the wonderful deck and beautiful scenery. It was peaceful and quiet with an amazing views.
