This was our second stay at the Riverside Blues House and once again Liza did not disappoint! This is a great location, great view and the home is pristine and beautifully decorated. My son lives nearby and when we have a large group visiting the Riverside Blues House is our home away from home. Can't wait to stay there in the warm weather and take advantage of the Ferry!! Jim’s place was great, with plenty to see in the area. We ended up spending most of the time enjoying the little beach and kayaks. Very cute house with plenty of room and we’ll stocked kitchen. The grill made for a perfect Labor Day cookout looking out at the water. Would stay again.

We were in the area to meet our son's fiance's extended family. Nathania's home was perfect! We had 7 adults and 5 little boys ages 9, 7, 5, 2, and 2 months. There was plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the time together. The hot tub, kayaks, and foosball table were especially popular! We were able to host a family dinner with guests which was wonderful. Everything we needed for preparation was readily available. Lots of beautiful parks, playgrounds, hiking areas. Plenty to keep everyone entertained! Nathania was extremely kind, gracious, and responsive to questions. We had absolutely zero issues. So grateful for a wonderful vacation. Thank you for sharing your idyllic home with us. We hope to visit again!!!

The Nest is a lovely place with a cozy feel and nice views of the lake.

Ann’s place is a must stay! We spent a relaxing weekend in this gorgeous home, overlooking an idyllic Mystic River. So conveniently located to more restaurants and shops than you could ever visit, and yet a world away set among the trees. This house is perfect for our family of three and we could have easily accommodated 2 more adults! The space is tranquil and spacious, and Ann provided some goodies (even for our son!) upon our arrival. The house is stocked with anything you could possibly need or want, inclusive of outdoor amenities. My husband and I are already looking to rebook…truly cannot recommend this stay enough!

Rented this for six weeks while working in the area, was perfect. I enjoyed it very much. Lots of space everything you could possibly need even down to the toothpaste and brushes, you could seriously just show up completely unprepared and you would have an excellent stay. If I am back in the area for long term again this will be my first search.

Laurie is a wonderful and generous host. Though we did not take advantage of it, she let us know that early check-in was possible on our arrival date. When we did arrive, we were greeted with a lovely care package of treats, including excellent treats for our dog. Really nice touches, and much appreciated. The space is clean and spacious, free of clutter, with a nice kitchen. We are especially grateful for pet-friendly hosts, and Laurie's place was truly excellent. Even non-pet people should find the space very suitable. There are no signs that other dogs had stayed there, the space, furniture and linens are all very clean. Great host, great place!

Nate and Polly were great hosts. Very happy they don’t use the toxic chemicals of febreze, Gain, Glade, etc throughout their house and linens. Very clean and well supplied. Beautiful spot on the lake. My only thought is it is a bit pricey for the fall/early winter time of year, but I definitely recommend their place.

We loved it. Redefines “fully stocked” - David’s place had everything we could ask for. The water at high tide was magical. Kayaking, fishing and we found over 100 (literally) hermit crabs.

We had a beautiful stay at the cabin. The views are stunning and the hot tub was glorious. A lovely escape into nature.

The cottage was beautiful and the hospitality was just perfect. Will stay again and highly recommend. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard and trails.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage! The location was perfect, with a beautiful, quiet beach just a short walk away. At low tide, the sandbar created a stunning and peaceful spot to enjoy. The house was cozy and comfortable, just the right size for a relaxing getaway. The outdoor area is newly built and thoughtfully designed—perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach or morning coffee. The neighborhood was private and very friendly, which made us feel welcome and at ease throughout our stay. Gail was an incredibly welcoming host, even leaving a handwritten welcome card that added such a personal touch. The house and kitchen had all the essentials, and we were pleasantly surprised to find the fridge stocked with basics, all complimentary. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with a host who truly cared about making our stay memorable. We’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, beachside retreat in a friendly community!

If you are looking for simplicity (which we were) this is the perfect place to. I’ve always wanted to stay at a lake house. We couldn’t have asked for more. Serene, tranquil, beautiful are the proper descriptions of the house and the area. We came to Connecticut to visit my daughter and family and they ended up coming to our place instead. Jason was extremely helpful when needed. We would definitely stay there again!

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the location was beautiful. We stayed for a few days and celebrated our early family Christmas here. It ended up snowing, which made the surrounding Connecticut forest even more beautiful. We found the cabin cozy and peaceful, with the town just 10 minutes away for anything we’d need. I definitely plan to keep this listing in mind for next time I’m visiting family in Connecticut.

Nicole & Robert’s home is absolutely beautiful. I wish we were there when it was warmer to enjoy the outdoors. Nicole was very communicative and quick with her responses. She was very attentive to our needs and was willing to go above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable! I highly recommend staying here because I will be booking another stay. Thank you again Nicole and Robert for allowing us the opportunity to stay in your home.

Place was very well cared for, kitchen and bathrooms were spotless and had everything needed. The views of the lake are GORGEOUS. Felt like home, we had a great time even with the bad weather.

I didnt want to leave this little cabin in the woods. It felt rustic but had all the modern amenities you would expect in a home. From the rocking chairs on the porch to the comfy beds, there is nothing I could complain about, even if I tried. Marilyn gave excellent suggestions of places to eat and local current events. We left with fall apples, bellies full of clam chowder, and gigantic smiles!!! We have already started planning our return!

Great lakeside retreat! Perfect for our small family!

This place was so peaceful and gorgeous! We stayed here during the A Weekend in the Life event and it was such an easy drive into town and to all the activities. The house itself had great amenities and things to do! During our stay, the heater did break, but our host was on top of it. The house has a pellet stove that kept it toasty, so she had 5 bags of pellets delivered to the house for us, she had someone come out and service the pellet stove and she had someone come out to service the heat all in one day! They were accommodating and helpful. We also had our dogs with us who has plenty of space and the airbnb didn’t smell like dog. You couldn’t tell it was a pet friendly place. We loved it!

Carrie was very attentive and concerned about giving me the best instructions to make me feel at home. I didn't struggle to check-in and get settled. What ever question or concern I had she would answer me quickly and kindly. I recommend this beautiful place that will make you feel welcome and at home. Thank you for being an amazing host and being extremely caring, and sweet.

A few of us stayed at Mariana's for a girl's weekend to go to local events- and had a wonderful stay! The apartment was really aesthetic and perfect for a girl's trip, and we loved cooking in the kitchen as she had every appliance we needed, and loved the fireplace. Everything was cozy, well described, and had everything we could have needed! Mariana was friendly and helpful leading up to and during our stay. We'd recommend this for anyone wanting a cozy getaway!

Our second stay at Angela’s. This Airbnb never disappoints. A private and relaxing oasis. The cabin is comfortable and well maintained. Quality hosts that make you feel at home. The sauna was clean and always ready to go. Five star Airbnb. Looking forward to our next stay.

We were looking for a quiet, cozy, and private weekend with the exception of a concert at Foxwoods (about 10 miles away). Tim's cabin was the perfect fit for us. The cabin was as described. Tim was very accommodating. The setting is beautiful. A great getaway location close enough to either of the casinos if that's your interest. Looking forward to going back in the future.

This fishing weekend is a tradition that spans 50 year. We had three generations there this weekend to enjoy the cabin and the fishing derby. The home was beautiful we all had a memorable weekend. Could have done without the snow but that in New England weather for you. And the owner was super easy to work with.
