A Finnish 🇫🇮 log cabin in Australia—what an incredible treat! As a European, I was immediately drawn to this place, knowing the craftsmanship and love that goes into building these homes. The thought of someone bringing one all the way to Australia speaks volumes about the dedication behind it. Greta’s Finnish cabin exceeded all my expectations. Despite the unexpected urban setting, the cabin felt like a peaceful haven amidst the rugged Australian environment. It radiates warmth and comfort, making it the perfect escape from the outside world. Our evenings were especially memorable—we looked forward to watching old movies and soaking in the cosy atmosphere. Greta’s cabin is a unique and special retreat—a little piece of Finland nestled in the Grampians. It’s the perfect place to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Whether you’re seeking charm, comfort, or a break from the everyday, this cabin has it all. Thank you, Greta, for creating such a treasure!

A gem of a cottage. Airy, bright and comfortable. Kitchen is fully tooled up. Great views across the countryside and relaxing watching the alpacas in the neighbouring field. Deb is a great host.

We were greeted by Christina making sure everything was tip top and we were not disappointed. She was than happy to bend over backwards to give us some tips around town and surroundings and supplied an extra bed due to some changes in plans amongst the group. The house is a great find on top of the hill with an awesome view of the town and bonus Blue Lake literally at your back door step. Lots of space with some funky retro decor in areas. Great leisurely walk into town also. No complaints here would happily stay again in a heartbeat.

Yellow door fantastic place to stay highly recommended will stay there again and pet friendly. Snickers had a great time running around back yard

Our stay was relaxing, all the extras in the house for us were an added bonus. Next time we are in Naracoorte definitely stay again if it’s available. Thank you for hosting us :)

We loved Salt Creek Cottage so much. We felt right at home in this beautifully and thoughtfully put together abode. It was super comfortable, relaxing and luxe with special touches in every room. We especially loved the hello from the regularly visiting family of kangaroos in the backyard each evening. Divine.

Craig said It was one of the best Airbnb's he has stayed in. Clean with even baked fresh bread. How good! I’d stay there again anytime :)

Dianne’s place was a perfect stay and I highly recommend it. Clean, comfortable, welcoming, well equipped and close to everything. I would highly recommend this stay for a night or a month. We were sorry we didn’t book a longer stay!

Beautiful place, clean and tidy and felt cosy. Clear instructions that made it easy to get in . We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone staying in Mount Gambier.
